4-Star Hotels in Qinghai, China

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The location is excellent; almost all taxi drivers knew it. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it's only about a 20-minute walk to the Daxinjie Night Market. It's a 4-star hotel with great decor. The scent in the lobby and hallways was lovely. The front desk service was fantastic. Since I had booked a day tour and had to get up very early the next day, the front desk prepared a generous simple breakfast for me, including a main dish, eggs, pastries, fruit, and yogurt – a perfectly balanced and nutritious meal. The room facilities were complete and the hygiene was impeccable. The most pleasant surprise was the breakfast; it was incredibly rich and served until around 10 AM, leaving me feeling fully satisfied.

Traveling by car, the hotel's breakfast buffet was incredibly rich and varied, ensuring I got all the calories and nutrients I needed, which is crucial at high altitudes. The rice noodles at breakfast were especially delicious. The assistant, Xiaocanghu, was exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. They contacted me in advance, and considering the high-altitude environment, helped prepare a portable oxygen tank after I inquired. They also meticulously informed me about breakfast times, the best spots for sunrise/sunset viewing, and important travel tips, covering every detail. I was lucky enough to catch the hotel's 8:30 PM bonfire party, which had a fantastic atmosphere; I even joined in a Guozhuang dance for a bit. When I asked about sunrise viewing for the next day, the staff kindly reminded me about everything. Although we didn't get to see the sunrise due to rain the next morning, the meticulous service throughout our stay made the trip incredibly rewarding. Plus, the hotel offers a free ******* robe try-on service. The responsible staff member patiently helped us get dressed, styled, and took photos, making for a superb and wonderfully comfortable experience from start to finish.

Very nice clean hotel. Helpful staff. Room modern, clean and just right. Mine didn't have a closet or a safe but that's not such a big deal. This next point isn't about this particular hotel but for all girls in China. Please make it more accessible to non-chinese speaking foreigners. Each of the girls I started with during my trip, do not make any attempt or even try to care. China is getting super automated and self-service but their smart devices and controllers ranging from in-room controls to within the property like room service and delivery robots could also understand English would be fantastic. It's so much cheaper to add a new language to these agents than to have all their staff learn English and it would enhance our experience by a 100x as we would never bother the hotel staff with anything.

The location is great and very convenient, right next to Mojia Street. The room was clean and spacious, and the front desk service was warm and welcoming. The breakfast dining area was comfortable, and the food tasted good, though the dining space itself was a bit small and could consider expanding.

I always stay at Hampton by Hilton, and I truly recommend this hotel! The room hygiene is impeccable, and the living environment is very comfortable. The Serta mattress provides great support, ensuring a sound sleep until morning. The breakfast offers excellent value for money, with a wide variety of dishes. The signature energizing chicken soup is rich and flavorful, making breakfast an extra pleasant experience. You can't go wrong choosing this place for your travels. The staff are also very attentive; they noticed it was my birthday and even prepared a fruit platter, which was incredibly thoughtful. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit!

This stay truly exceeded my expectations. Despite being an older hotel, it's clear they put a lot of effort into maintenance, showcasing the heritage and grandeur of a well-established brand. A big shout-out to the front desk staff – their warmth was evident from the moment I walked in. Check-in was efficient, and they patiently recommended local attractions. The overall environment was incredibly clean and tidy; both the hallways and rooms were spotless. This ensured a high-quality night's sleep. The parking lot was huge with plenty of spaces, and access was very convenient, so I never had to worry about finding a spot. This amenity was a thoughtful touch. The laundry room had new equipment, including dryers, and the breakfast spread was extensive, featuring local specialties. The ingredients were fresh and constantly replenished, making for a very satisfying meal.

The hotel is located on Bayi East Road, in the east of the city, right next to the Wuyue Plaza business district. It's close to the highway entrance and exit, and a short drive from Xining Station, making it very convenient for those traveling by car. Free underground parking is available. As a new establishment, the facilities are all brand new. The lobby boasts an elegant design with a natural ambiance. Guest rooms are spacious and equipped with height-adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs, and smart bathroom fixtures. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer great views. The cleanliness is excellent, and the bedding is soft, ensuring a quiet and comfortable rest. The service is excellent, especially from Bella, An, and Lily. The breakfast buffet offers a good mix of Western and Chinese options. In addition to standard dishes, there's a special section for Qinghai local specialties like yak yogurt and 'Tianpei,' which are highly praised. Amenities include a 24-hour gym and a self-service laundry room, and the staff are attentive and polite. The only drawbacks are the lack of a swimming pool and its slightly distant location from the city center attractions. Overall, it offers excellent value for money and is highly suitable for both business and leisure travelers.

Self-driving passing by this house, it is a real surprise! The yard can wash the car by itself, and the car will be washed directly after running the bad road. There are all washing machines and ironing machines in the laundry room, and you can change the laundry. The front desk also prepared band-aid, rubber band, razors and various small pieces, and the details were full. There were also attraction guidelines, fitness equipment, food delivery robots before, the lobby environment is also bright and clean, Dachaidan is the first choice for self-driving, and I will stay here next time! The front desk lady was very caring and also sent a small gift souvenir plush toys.

I was very dissatisfied with the front desk service. The staff were cold and unhelpful, showing no consideration for guests. (Though one female receptionist had a very good attitude and proactively asked about our room needs). After checking in, we found trash under the sink in one of the rooms. We called the front desk, but no one came to address it for 20 minutes. It was almost 8 PM, and we had just arrived from Chaka Salt Lake, eager to go out for dinner. Even if they couldn't clean it immediately, they should have at least provided an explanation! Our booking included minibar service, but there was none in the room. When we went to the front desk to inquire about both issues, the staff were cold and dismissive, and no one even apologized. You are in the service industry; shouldn't basic courtesy be a given?! Later, they said they would restock the minibar for me, but it still wasn't there when we returned after dinner. Although Ctrip resolved the issue, it wasn't just about the small items; it was the feeling that the hotel showed no consideration for its guests. Then, at checkout the next day, there was still no reaction. What did Ctrip say? Who is lying here? It's both infuriating and ridiculous.

I guess we came to Chaka Salt Lake during the off-season. There was a tour group the day we arrived, so the hotel delivered breakfast to our room. They communicated via WeChat, and their responses were super prompt. They even upgraded us to a suite, which was absolutely luxurious! Overall, I was very satisfied. The room was very clean and incredibly spacious. All the staff were very polite. Highly recommended!
