Wyndham Garden Quito

The hotel's facilities, health and service are very good, the facilities are a bit old. What makes us most satisfied is its restaurant. Breakfast and lunch are buffets, dinner is ordered, the service is also very good, not expensive. Due to this restaurant, we lived here when we passed by Quito and were very satisfied.
Quinta San Felipe

We needed a place by the airport for an overnight before flying out. The hotel arranged for a driver to pick us up which went perfectly. Very nice grounds with a pool we did not try. The room was clean, and comfortable. The manager answered all our questions on Google translate which I am now going to use. The next day we had breakfast, and left. Had to rush back to the hotel as we thought we left our passport and jacket. Found our passport deep in our luggage but we did leave the jacket at the hotel. They were so accommodating. Would stay here again. Saw a vermillion flycatcher at breakfast!
Hotel Patio Andaluz

Hotel was empty, super quiet, and very pretty. Comfortable beds. Lots of minor irritants make the stay unpleasant. If the hotel had more guests it would probably be loud - all windows open to the courtyard so you hear anyone talking there. The bathroom was designed by someone who doesn't use a bathroom. The counter overhangs the toilet so that the toilet lid cannot open all the way, it falls down if you try to open it, etc. The shower is cute, but to reach the valve you have to put yourself below the rain-type shower head. So you have to get sprayed by cold water to turn on the shower. These minor irritants degrade the experience and are not what one expects from a hotel that costs 2x other options. The included breakfast was awful. Scrambled eggs are more like an egg soup with some oil added. They had spaghetti with clams one morning that looked like leftovers from the night before - who eats that at 7am? Most of the bread baskets were empty, juices were empty. You'd think that no one was tending the buffet except there were 2-3 people standing around talking to each other. Again, perfectly reasonable for a hotel that costs $20/night. Not at all reasonable for a hotel that costs this much. Dinner was fine, but the menu is very limited and expensive for relatively simple food. Lots of waiters, not many guests. The dining area is set up in the open patio/courtyard which makes for a kind of weird experience of everyone being a little too close. One night there was a big table for a group that seemed to really enjoy itself - everyone else just watched and listened them as they dominated the room. The restaurant seems to cater to local events like family gatherings, which is great unless you are a hotel guest. All-in-all a nice-ish hotel that costs far more than it should. Clearly someone put some effort into the original remodel and since then the interest has waned. TV remote turns on the cable box but not the TV, you have to walk through the construction zone of the bar to get to your room, breakfast is gross, bathrooms were designed by aliens, etc, etc. There have got to be better options in this price class. Not sure why all these other reviews are so glowing. Perhaps first-time visitors to Ecuador who are just glad that they were not robbed?

San Jose de Puembo Quito Airport, An Ascend Hotel Collection

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It's close to the airport (with a free shuttle to/from the airport), extremely clean, absolute paradise and a true home away from home. Its staff genuinely cares about your wellbeing. Mauricio (manager) and Jorge (front desk) in particular are naturals in all things hospitality and made us feel especially cared for during our stay. We only planned to stay here for one night, but decided to extended our stay. So lucky to have stumbled upon this place.
Holiday Inn Express Quito
4.5/524 Reviews
We stayed here in late June after our plans to stay in Old Town were scuttled by Quito general strike and demonstrations. We found the hotel to be closer to a regular Holiday Inn rather than a Holiday Inn Express. The room and bathroom were a comfortable size. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom layoutBreakfast spread was kept hot and fresh and featured egges etc and Ecuadorian items. For the early birds there was a cart with coffee and a few breakfast snacks to tide one over till breakfast area opened. The area has a few local restaurants and a couple of restaurants next door. Many things were closed due to the general strike. But the area is a generally pleasant area with Quito's Carolina Park and Artisinal market with an 20 minutes or so walk. The telefrico a short cab ride away. The gym is on a top floor and one could use the equipment while enjoying the skyline views of quito. A nice way to enjoy a workout. Perhaps the best reason to stay here, however, is the staff. Breakfast area staff went out of their way to be helpful and get our day started on a high note. Front desk staff answered questions about the limited options available to guests due to the situation in Quito with honesty and professionalism and helpful advice. Special recognition for Maria at the front desk and German of the concierge staff for their assistance with friendliness and courtesy and above all understanding of the situation in Quito with the requirements of thir tourist guest. Not necessarily an easy task to balance but they did the job and balanced the various things in a marvelously guest friendly way and not skipping a beat in being helpful and effectively communicating with great command of English. Thanks for a good stay in difficult circumstances.

First, the rooms are huge, comfy and outlook the street below. Great pool and massage services.. the restaurant serves the best food around, eat there most nights and the bar makes the best mojito. Staff is nice and rooms are very clean. A couple issues with reception desk, they lost our laundry and then found it, just had to remind them, the key card kept not working and having to go down to complain
