4-Star Hotels in Red Sea Governorate, Egypt

I couldn't use all the food and beverage services provided because I checked in late at night and checked out early in the morning two days later, but there was nothing lacking. It was good that it was right next to the Red Sea, and there were various activities, but I couldn't participate, and there was no explanation about them when I checked in. There is a local cafe/restaurant across the street from the hotel and up the hill, and there is a marina/mosque/shopping center nearby. The facilities are old, but they are cleanly maintained, and the location is easy to find, which is also a strength. There were some reviews from Asian travelers that mentioned racism, but what kind of discrimination was it? I was very satisfied and used it. I recommend staying here! Most of the guests were European/Russian nationals, and there were a few Chinese people.

Everything was perfect, from the welcome to the service to the catering, several restaurants, very nice decoration... beautiful swimming pools and gym. Beautiful hotel on a human scale (not like the big complexes where you get lost), clean hotel and room with sea view... new hotel so very attentive staff. Beach nearby, nothing around except other hotels... about 25 minutes from Hurghada. I recommend this stay if you want to have a great vacation

I recently stayed in the Sunrise Alma Bay for 8 days and the hotel atmosphere was just great. The hotel staff were so helpful. My room cleaner Ibrahim was so accommodating, friendly and efficient...and an expert in towel art! Emad at the pool bar was so welcoming and the service was excellent. Hamdy and Mohammed in the towel station/by the beach were friendly faces every morning and so helpful. Anastasia in Guest Relations came around to our table every breakfast and was able to action any little requests we had. She was very impressive with her notebook and actioning things so quickly. And lastly, when I asked to extend my room for a few hours (and very reasonable additional cost) on my last day, the Hotel Manager arranged for me to be moved to a suite on the seafront and the concierge Mahmoud was so kind in helping with my luggage and room change. I have been visiting Egypt for 10 years now and this stay has been a highlight for me because of the helpfulness and friendliness of the hotel staff, the delicious food, the pool (one of the best I have seen), and the beach front with pier and lagoona just make it the perfect location. The added bonus is that it is only about 20 mins from Hurghada airport. I would recommend this hotel to families, couples, singles and will definitely be coming back again. Thank you. Ciara

1. The hotel has a very good view 2. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic. After staying for 5 days, no staff showed any discrimination (you will be less glass-hearted when you go abroad) 3. The restaurant mainly serves a buffet of various white rice dishes. I think it tastes good. The scenery in the restaurant in the hotel is very good. 4. I saw some people say that the room is old, but I have lived in it myself and I can only say that the style is that of old school. For example, the air conditioner in the room is extremely efficient. The effect is obvious after one minute of turning it on. There are really few power sockets, but when I travel, I always bring a charging head with multiple sockets🤭🤭🤭

A very very beautiful beach, the architecture was pleasing to the eyes! My room was on the 1st floor with glass doors in a roll-beam project. A sun lounger with a soft towel right at the exit. You could wake up, open the door, run and dive into the sea! Very beautiful territory. A waiter from a neighboring restaurant came up to me and offered to look at the menu. I was surprised why pay for something that is in the hotel restaurant in a huge selection? He was also surprised in response to my naivety and said ”But we have delicious!” And he was right. I visited 3 hotels: there is a lot of food but it is not tasty. I felt so sick after the partridge and crabs that I gave up fish and meat

Couldn’t ask for a better stay! This hotel is one of my favourite hotels I have stayed in. The staff are absolutely phenomenal so friendly and so hard working, I really do admire them for their service. The room was absolutely stunning, very clean when we first came. The hotel itself is extremely beautiful with a lovely pool playing music in the day and also the lagoon that runs through the whole of El gouna. El Gouna as well is a beautiful place which is incredibly buzzy and beautiful. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! Thank you❤️

I stayed 1 night but the buffet was good, the staff too and i didn’t really liked the outside because its in the middle of the city but i admit that its easier to go shopping if you ate located there and is next to the airport

Huge resort in Hurghada in the Sal Hasheesh area, it had a lot of potential but from the first night our hopes of spending a holiday with all the comforts were dashed. We were assigned a room on the lowest level of the structure, with walls raised by humidity and a terrible smell of mold. We protested and we were changed rooms, with the promise that the following morning we would be taken to yet another room because the problem apart from the smell, was that the room was objectively dirty. The following morning we were moved to the third room on the second floor. A boy had taken care of cleaning it but obviously it was a general cleaning. Just think that the sheets were full of hair, in fact we slept on them for a week. The common areas, the long corridors were never cleaned, in fact the marble had a dull patina, look at the attached photos. The hall and the restaurant room were cleaned with a spray bottle, I'm talking about the floors, and a squeegee. Apart from this big inconvenience, the structure itself was magnificent, very large, the pools were clean, there was a heated pool, and the beach was very nice and clean. The food was also quite varied, even if the variety of fruit for example was limited. In conclusion, do not expect a five star because it is not, it could be when the structure is really cleaned from top to bottom. Unfortunately, we Italians have very high standards when it comes to cleanliness. We traveled with another family in fact you will find the same review.

Booked more than 400 per night with three meals for two. This big hotel is only my Chinese and the others are blonde. The hotel is beautiful and the red castle type is very Arabic. There is more than an hour of free performances every night in a semicircular theater. The hotel also has a small museum. There are several swimming pools, and in winter there is a heated pool where you can play water volleyball. You can also play mini golf, darts, table tennis, tennis, aerobics and parent-child activities for free. Three meals a day are good. There are several restaurants, and the ice cream shop cafe bar is free. It's a little far from the beach but there is a shuttle bus. I didn't go to the beach because I booked a two-day trip to the sea. It doesn't matter if the hotel is not at the beach if I feel the sea. A five-minute walk near the hotel has a very large variety of supermarkets that can be visited for a long time. If you are tired of the hotel, you can change the taste at several restaurants in the supermarket entrance. There are also shops and supermarkets in the hotel, and the prices are ok. A small road next to it is Jungle Paradise Hotel, which is bigger like a big park to visit, and no Asian can see it. Stayed for three nights and did n’t have enough. I just left the terrain and left. Try the next Jungle Paradise Hotel next time.

Very good hotel Clean rooms Check-in and check-out process was perfect Pools and aqoa were amazing but there is no deep pool all the pool is 90cm hight which is not good for me. The food variety is limited in some meals The animation team is very good at night but not very active in the morning. I would like to thank MR kerolous from the receiption team and MR Adel rhe head of food and beverages for their professionalism and their politly way. Thank you and I will come back again

We had already come in 2014, the stay had been very pleasant...which was not the case for our 9-day stay in September 2022! The hotel is dilapidated as a whole, both the rooms and the exteriors. The food is varied but very Italian focused (hotel occupied mainly by Italians). The quality is however to be reviewed since we were sick for 5 days. The reception leaves something to be desired and the management team is to be reviewed in the management of problems and the lack of consideration of the clientele. Indeed, the neighbors upstairs vomited on our terrace, the manager for the only resolution of the problem told us that they were leaving the same evening. These neighbors stayed for the duration of our stay... .

The hotel was quite good, but Ctrip marked the wrong location and we were picked up by a black car in the middle of the night! Later, I contacted Ctrip to replenish the fare. The location of Ctrip’s 45Km was wrong! The hotel includes three meals a day, and it’s pretty good to lie flat. It’s not as fun as snorkeling at the Aomabay Sheraton at the back. It’s only suitable for lying flat, and there’s not much to do.

The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

You can see the sea and the hotel has a beach. The scenery is good. The room is large and the facilities are a bit old.
