Just got back from a lovely 7 night stay at Hotel Bahia. We booked the holiday package through Brittany ferries. Our room on the 5th floor lovely and quite and had the most fantastic view looking out to the sea and mountains. The Room was a good size with tv, fridge with complementary water, lovely big walk in shower, could have done with a kettle but we took our own. Breakfast was included in our package plenty to choose from the buffet. The staff on reception where very helpful if you needed anything. The hotel is close to all the shops and restaurants and a bus ride to the beaches. There's restaurant and cafe bar at the hotel, the staff are all really lovely especially Britana who always looked after us in the bar (not sure if l spelt her name right) apologies if l haven't. We eat in the hotel restaurant a couple of times food a bit pricey but nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel for exploring Santander.

Le spiagge sono raggiungibili facilmente anche attraverso bus (fermata di fronte all'hotel). La camera molto carina, pulita, con tutto il necessario. Unica pecca la camera singola è veramente piccola, il bagno invece è ampio e con una bella doccia ma manca il bidet (presente invece nella doppia).

From the outside the hotel doesn’t look like much but the interior more than makes up for it. Welcomed very nicely by staff and was easy to find our room. Room was a great size and lay out and the bed was incredibly comfy. There were always staff available if needed but we didn’t have any problems. The hotel was in a great location and the beaches and restaurant were lovely.

We were impressed with this hotel on arrival, nice common areas, parking onsite (albeit a tad expensive), good location/setting, easy checkin, clean room. But two very important things this hotel needs to get right… (1) The dinner service. They had one (very hard working) waiter doing everything, the result was a v long way even for a menu. We couldn’t blame him as he was doing his best but just couldn’t keep up. To add, the restaurant is outside in a temporary building which may be lovely in the summer but was not quite so glamorous in the rain. We were amazed the waiter had to keep going in and out (in the rain) to get drinks and food, utter madness…. Especially when there are large areas inside the main hotel not being used. We felt really sorry for this guy and as a result didn’t order starters, more drinks or desserts as it was just too painful to watch. (2) The hot water. We had none, just not good enough. We wouldn’t stay here again for the above two reasons, limited time and travelling require decent service and hot water as standard.

Absolutely loved the location of this hotel, room was extremely clean and bed was so comfortable. Staff made you feel very welcome and happy to answer your questions and help you. My husband is vegan and after the first day, realised there was no vegan hot food at breakfast. I mentioned this to Reception and wow did they sort this out. Next morning, he was asked what he would like and they offered him so many choices. His breakfast personally made by the chef was amazing and delicious. Same thing happened the next morning. He ate like a King. He was delighted when the chef came out of the kitchen both mornings, so he could thank her. Excellent Customer Service !!!!

So I stayed 3 nights here. Junior suite with sea view. I really enjoyed the stay. The bathroom was newly redone it seems, and very well cleaned. I say this as the bedroom was a bit outdated in furniture, but that for me didn't take away any of the enjoyment of the stay. Great view of the ocean and in quite a popular spot, as there were weddings and functions on Friday and Saturday. Good buzz, and great location if you want to be by the sea. The town is a 5 minute taxi drive costing around 5 euro. Quick speedy no fuss with taxis, as taxi rank is about 30 steps away. Staff were friendly in reception and that was very helpful, as there are not alot of English speakers around. They were very accommodating. I would like to add the food was average. Nothing special about the food, not alot of effort put in, but for me there is plenty around to eat, and it is all culturally and locally based. The breakfast was sub standard. Not worth it. Room service ends 10.30. And waiting staff seemed a bit uncomfortable, or a bit not interested. But not particularly anything that stands out. Clean, good views, bedroom outdated, bathroom well above standard, food is a no-go. So I give it 4 stars just because I had a really great time heading back to the hotel after visiting attractions and walks around the whole area.

Booked last minute online driving up Spain this was a golden find. Slightly difficult for the Sat Nav to find on a dark wet night. Parking is limited but adequate unless the hotel is packed. The staff were welcoming with an adequate grasp of English/French. The hotel is spotless and has a very charming character with asymmetric rustic furniture/decor throughout that unbelievably blends so well together.Bedrooms/bathrooms are comfortably adequate but definitely not high-tech. WiFi is free and a good speed. The restaurant offers a limited selection of superb meals in the evenings (you would not want to eat elsewhere after sampling it), and breakfast has a fine and unlimited cold food selection, and a great help yourself coffee/late machine. You can buy great value wines with your meals but beer/lager was not available. The hotel is in a quiet location and is dog friendly for small breeds. Well situated if waiting for ferry crossings (25 min drive) I would 100% recommend the hotel as good value for money, extremely charming with food to die for, and would definitely book again if the need arises.

Rooms are lovely there a nice coffee machine, shampoo condition shower gel hand soap and body lotion in bathroom as well as toothbrush and vanity kits in bathroom, beds were comfy, nice touch was when you open the wardrobe it lights up. Breakfast was excellent with everything you need from fruit to doughnuts yoghurts, cake and a hot selection. The hotel smells amazing they have a diffuser on each landing. The hotel is perfect location if you turn left at the marine you get to The beach and palace turn right and it’s into town. Would definitely return

Left Haro and took a detour through Frias/Ona which was fantastic. Ride through the N632 to Santander Beachfront. Got to Hotel, pay up front for room. 3rd Floor, Sea View. Reception excellent Hotel very good, but Bike outside in Moto area for three days. Good breakfast, with a number of sittings. Lots of bars, Beach is brilliant. Mercardo near Surf School. I found bar food average, but others raved about the Seafood. I would stay here again. In fact I might book for September trip.

Our experience at Centersuite Santander was a pleasure from start to finish. We do not speak Spanish (we are trying to learn), and Yolanda who checked us in speaks no English. Using Google Translate, Yolanda gave us a very comprehensive guide to the hotel and the features in our room. We stayed in the Reina Victoria, one of only five rooms in the hotel. The hotel is on the first floor of a building in the main street through the town, and the Victoria room is at the back of the building. Despite the location, the room was very quiet. The bed (two twins pushed together) was very comfortable and the room was well equipped with a safe, fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee machine. The widescreen tv comes equipped with Netflix included. The bathroom is spacious with a rainfall shower in a large wet room section of the room. The only negative is the toiletries. One dispenser that serves as soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. It feels like glue on your hair. Bring your own hair products. The hotel is a fifteen minute walk from the bus station, and has lots of bars and restaurants nearby. There are also several mini-markets and lots of cafes. We would definitely stay here again. Checkout is a respectable 12pm. I don’t think you could leave your bags here until your flight (not an issue with our 2pm flight), as the desk is unmanned through most of the day and it’s not possible to enter the building without a key, however there are lots of lockers at the bus station.

Having stayed six times at this hotel dating back to 2015 we decided to stay again as we wished to be near Sardinero. We have not experienced any of the issues identified by previous reviewers in any of these visits, in fact quite the opposite, the staff were welcoming and the rooms were in decent shape and always large. The price was high but for the luxury of a senior suite I was prepared to pay over the odds. On arrival we were told that no senior suites were available and we had been upgraded to the Imperial Suite. Sounds good, but here the good news ended Issue 1 the whirlpool bath didn’t work. Reported to reception and was quickly attended by the maintenance man who after breaking the tile to access the motor reset fixed the problem! Issue solved - nope. It lasted 20 minutes and then tripped all the electric. On reporting to reception the switch was reset but no whirlpool bath. Ok, we’re not here for the bath and having been offered a move the next day at 12 noon we decided to stick with the room as otherwise it appeared ok. Issue 2, the air conditioner sounded like a jet engine. It wasn’t so warm anyway so we tolerated this. Issue 3, at around 5 am it became clear there was multiple pigeons roosting in the roof space above the bed therefore couldn’t sleep until they stopped making noise. Should have moved but we are quite tolerant. Issue 4, around noon time the noise from the AC was so load we had to trip the electric breaker to stop it. Again we should have moved. Issue 5, on night 2 we were again awake for a significant period because of the lift continually moving even in the middle of the night. Issue 6, on night 3 again the lift was not moving up and down almost constantly. This seems to be the overnight cleaner moving items to the storeroom, and guess where this is, next to our room 601. I politely asked receptionist to ask the cleaner to stop and she said he was going home now so it would be ok. She couldn’t move us as there were no other rooms available. On approaching the hotel director the next morning she was aware of all the issues even knowing that the lift was noisy and kept people from sleeping. I was offered a free breakfast which I refused purely because there is no soap in the toilets and this is being used by waiters and chefs to prepare and serve food. After much argument I was told they would refund me the last night stay, still not received it though. All bored by now no doubt. This hotel had deteriorated badly in the 7 years we have visited. There are so many easy fixes to make it better but nobody seems to care. Lights don’t work - replace bulbs AC noisy - stop it vibrating Bath doesn’t work - either replace the motor or borrow from another room given the Imperial suite is the best room in the house Lift - get an engineer Noise - stop the cleaner working all night making noise No soap - buy soap The list is endless, we won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else does either. A very nice hotel, close to the centre of Suances and to the beaches. We were provided with great service throughout, and made to feel very welcome. Out suite was very comfortable, but we felt would actually have been better without the jacuzzi, which takes up a lot of space, and requires an enormous amount of water (and energy!) to fill, so not very sustainable. The motoring theme felt a little odd, and detracted a little from what is actually a beautiful building. That didn't stop us having a wonderful stay though in a really nice resort.

Buen hotel, nosotros estuvimos en una suite y todo bien. Como pega, para poder disfrutar de la piscina, sería recomendable que fuera cubierta, ya que el clima del norte, no suele invitar al baño. La situación es buena, a 5 minutos de la playa.
