I stayed at this hotel and the Hilton in Tórsburg, and personally, I found this hotel much better than the Hilton, referring to a standard double room. The breakfast was nothing special; European breakfasts seem to be all the same, but the smoked salmon was delicious. The hotel's interior has a standard Scandinavian style, simple yet stylish, with meticulous attention to detail, such as heated mirrors that don't fog up from steam, and convenient grab bars on the toilet (although I accidentally bumped into one of them). The views from the room and restaurant windows were absolutely stunning, overlooking the entire city of Tórsburg. The bed was very soft, the room was slightly larger than the Hilton's, the front desk staff were friendly, and there was a lounge and laundry room available. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I would choose this hotel again next time. However, the only problem is that Google Maps navigation has major issues; it can be very difficult to find the hotel on your first visit!

Parking is free, as are the washing machine and dryer. The gym has a great view. Breakfast was protein-rich, and except for the lack of leafy greens, everything else was excellent.
The room was clean and spacious. There were no toiletries or slippers, which is normal for European hotels, but I was lucky I brought my own.
The sauna and hot springs were available for an additional fee of 150 DKK per person for 45 minutes.
The receptionist, Elizabeth, was extremely rude. Whenever I asked her anything, she would respond with a ”Google it yourself” attitude. The receptionist, Elisa, who worked the night shift, was very friendly. There was also a blonde girl and an Asian guy who were also very friendly.
One night, I saw the Northern Lights from the hotel entrance—quite lucky!

KateswNo conditioner or lotion, and no vanity kit. It was shampoo instead of shampoo and conditioner. Breakfasts were good, but the coffee was from a thermos... Breakfasts were buffet style.

kongzhongguanjing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The location is extremely superior, very old hotel with local characteristics
This time I stayed in Hotel Hafnia on a trip to Faroe Islands in the Faroe Islands. The overall experience is very good, especially the location, which can really be described as extremely superior. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the port and bus terminal, which is convenient for taking local buses, day trips, or hanging out in the old town of Tórshavn in Tols Harbour.
The hotel itself is a historic old star hotel with beautiful interiors and complete facilities. There is even a real fireplace in the hotel lobby, which is especially practical for places like the Faroe Islands in bad weather. The cold wind is blowing outside, and you can roast the fire by the fireplace and warm it when you enter the door. It is really comfortable and has the atmosphere of a traditional Nordic hotel.
The public areas and lounges are beautiful and suitable for sitting down after a day of travel. The view from the hotel window is also very charming, surrounded by typical Faroe Islands scenery. There is also a very distinctive traditional small red house teahouse next to it. The roof is covered with weeds. It is very local and feels good when you take a shot.
The front desk service is especially commendable, and the staff have been very warm, friendly and patient. When I checked in on the first day, the front desk staff who received me was Patricia, a Spanish student who came here to participate in the famous Erasmus project in Europe. We also talked a lot and felt very kind. This experience of chatting with people from different countries on the trip also makes the hotel more special.
The hotel also provides a free glass of red or white wine every day. The lounge environment is very beautiful. It is very pleasant to come back for a drink and rest at night.
The decoration of the room is also very distinctive, especially the murals on the wall, which is very artistic, so that the room will not look the same. The facilities in the room are also very complete: refrigerators, coffee machines, free tea, etc. are basically everything.
There is also a very interesting little detail: the hotel provides free apples, you can take 🍎 at any time. There is also a creative design of Snow White quoted scriptures and the text of ”Take a Chance on me”, which makes an ordinary free apple very interesting, 😂
The door key is also the old and very heavy traditional key 🔑, which is very old in your hand. Of course, if you don't want to carry it too heavy, you can also send it directly at the front desk, which is very convenient.
The hotel's sauna is also free and can be reserved with the front desk in advance. It is especially comfortable to go back to the hotel to relax after a whole day of travel in the weather in the Faroe Islands. 🧖♂️
In addition, when we participated in the local day trip, the driver and tour guide learned that we lived in Hafnia, and also directly evaluated that ”Very nice hotel!” 😂 can be recognized by the locals, which is also a very interesting small bonus.
Overall, Hafnia is not only a convenient hotel to stay, but also a hotel with history, design, local characteristics and human touch. From the real fireplace 🔥, traditional key 🔑, special murals, to the small red house teahouse with weeds on the roof, to the lounge, free apples and sauna, many details can feel the hotel's intentions.
If I come to Torshavn for the first time, I would recommend staying here. Convenient location, friendly service and beautiful scenery! 🇫🇴❤️
