At 3pm check in, the room wasn’t ready. I was asked to wait and would be advised when it was ready. The lady forgot, and I returned to the desk to check. Around 3:50pm we were able to go to the room. For my partners birthday and one night stay, we had wasted an hour waiting for the room. It wasn’t clear from exiting the lift where our room was going to be, as the rooms numbers didn’t reach the our room number. The hotel entrance was grand and very pleasant, with a pianist playing in the evening. The room walls were awfully thin, as we found out. The breakfast was very good, with a great selection and quality of the food. The location was perfect, to walk to the sightseeing spots and local amenities. Left disappointed by the customer service on arrival.

The hotel has luggage storage service at the front desk. Each person received a free cup of coffee both days. The room and lobby are clean and tidy, and they are cleaned and towels are changed every day.

I have used this place a few times for groups. This time they really fell short. There is no one in charge. Very difficult to speak to a manager. Issues with the restaurant. Short staffed. Food was too salty. Soya sauce based dishes were not edible. No one asked when sent back unfinished if there was an issue. Only robots delivering food and very inexperience staff. Couldn't order more drinks in good time. Breakfast is buffet and is very basic. Ok. It is clean. However, for £250 a room I think that it is overpriced. Thank goodness for Trip.com much better rate 2 days before the event. Baths do not drain. Taps and fittings are loose or not finished properly. Poor customer service overall, despite having 5 rooms in our group and dinner for 10. Said they would call me back. Which they have not. That was after speaking to a man who said that he was not the manager, had only worked there for 8 weeks, yet told me that I was not familiar with the service industries! Such a shame. Will have to find somewhere else next time. Not a hint of a smile or an apology or anything to say that he would feed back. 🤷

Very good hotel in central location, with helpful staff. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Room was a little dated but clean and quiet.

Lovely stay from Thursday to Monday. The hotel was lovely and the staff couldn't be more helpful, in particular Theresa and Jose. The food was excellent with lots of choice. Great swimming pool too. Would highly recommend a stay here with plenty of attractions nearby.

Not the best view from the very large ground floor window. Thankfully slightly obscured by the mould on the glass but the last time I saw windows this big directly on to a public car park was in Amsterdam in a certain coloured district.

I loved this hotel. The decor was tasteful, staff was extremely friendly. Rooms were cosy and clean. Had some drinks and snacks at their bar and the cocktails were really nice. Staff were attentive and polite. The dinner menu in the restaurant was really nice too. Breakfast became busy and I think the staff were struggling to keep up because I had to wait a while before glasses were stocked to get juice and milk was replenished for my tea. My only gripe about the room was lack of electrical sockets near the bedside tables to barge the phones. Would definitely stay here again.

It's a very good hotel. I really like it. The environment and hardware are very good. The location is superior, the scenery is beautiful, the service is considerate, the praise is great. I will stay next time

I was treated to a wonderful Mother’s Day meal by my family. Even though the dining room was very busy, the service was impeccable. Our drinks arrived quickly and the meal that followed was just perfect. I ordered the beef which was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were fresh and not over cooked at all and finally the Yorkshire Pudding was one of the best I’ve had. I would 100% recommend their Sunday Lunch menu, you won’t be disappointed!!!!!! Thank you to everyone, the waitresses, bar staff and of course the chef for a perfect Mother’s Day meal.

Lovely location, (pretty village) lovely grounds and impressive entrance. However, we weren’t in the main hotel. The room was large but old fashioned. The roof sloped at the sides which we banged our heads on several times. The window was small which made it stuffy and it was very dark, no main light in the bedroom only lamps. Bed was king size and comfortable. The room and bathroom was clean. We used the restaurant once for dinner and we had 2 breakfasts and the food was nice and reasonable priced. Breakfast was self service (as ours was included) with a good and plentiful variety. The staff were friendly and helpful but professional. We didn’t use the pool in the end as it meant going outside and back inside, as our room was not connected to a covered route to the pool. Nothing really to complain about but we did expect the room to be a bit more luxurious. Slightly overpriced for the room. I expect the price was based on the available amenities.

I didn't book the old hall, but this one is really good. The cleanliness and comfort of the room is my most important. The decoration is red classical style. There is a wedding atmosphere under the floor.

My recent stay at Ringwood Hall in Chesterfield was, unfortunately, an absolute disappointment from start to finish. The hotel suffered from poor communication and a noticeable lack of front-of-house staff. For the price, the experience was nowhere near acceptable, with glaringly poor customer service and a complete lack of attention to detail. One of the most misleading aspects was the so-called ”all-inclusive” package. The menu was dismal, with very few options and a steak priced at £30 that was incredibly chewy and unpleasant. Worse still, the menu didn’t change, so the same underwhelming choices were all that was offered. The restaurant staff were clearly overworked, with many of them appearing very young and inexperienced. Although they tried their best, they were simply not equipped to handle the demands of discerning guests. Cleanliness was another major issue. I found old wax earplugs on the floor in my room upon arrival, and despite room service coming in, they were still there afterward. That’s just unacceptable for any hotel, especially one that markets itself as a quality establishment. On top of that, the room itself was freezing cold, and the iron and hairdryer provided were outdated and barely functional. While the property might have a unique charm, the lack of modern facilities was inexcusable. I also experienced an unacceptable delay at dinner. I had booked a table for 6 pm, but wasn’t served until 7:30 pm, with little to no explanation or apology from the staff. All in all, Ringwood Hall fell far below even basic expectations. I would not stay here again and certainly do not recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant or professional experience.
