One night before a flight, small room but everything you need for an overnight stay, comfy big bed, tea and coffee making facilities, tv and mini fridge, we had a room at the rear of the hotel so quieter than the front, we would definitely stay again if we had an early flight.

Really nice and clean. Great beds. Plenty of room. Good shower. Perfect location. Polite staff. Value for money. Close to Warner Brothers and shopping centre. We only stayed a night and hardly touched down but it was great. I will always wonder why every hotel puts out just two teabags though 🤣

My line manager had booked the room for me as my IHG account wasn’t approved yet by my GM and I was greeted by Zahr if I spelt that right, I do apologise if I’ve spelt that wrong, he was very friendly, he did his job by trying to figure out if I was an employee of holiday inn, which he did his checks and my information had come back correct, I left earlier that night and come back and I was still greeted with a friendly welcome from him. It’s been a pleasure to stay with the holiday inn, my room was cleaned to perfection and I’ve had no issues, Zahr deserves to be employee of the month if that’s a thing here. The Comet hotel Hatfield Location : excellent , just cross opposite to mall Room : comfortable , clean , more room space Overall are Good except the service of receptionist . Receptionist service : the Indian lady attitude was bad , maybe we are Asian. Shouldn’t let guest feel not welcoming :( Last, We really enjoyed it . Recommended this hotel

Perfect for a quick stay over. Clean and great value for the price. Sara was super helpful and friendly with a warm welcome after a long long drive. I’d recommend for those in need of somewhere fairly basic and affordable. Handy with the services next door for a various food too.

Not the same as before. There used to be a swimming pool. The hotel carpets are very dirty. Looks like vomit. Otherwise, everything else is fine.

I booked an Afternoon Tea for 7 of us ladies to celebrate my sisters upcoming wedding. There weee 7 of us cousins and sisters who wanted to do something nice. At the time of calling in to book - I was asked to pay for the whole thing up front. Couldn’t leave a deposit. I was told the menu for teas and afternoon tea would be emailed as I mentioned that 3 of us would need the vegetarian option. Nothing was sent. Emailed them still nothing and the evening before I sent a message via their online form to confirm 3 veggie options. On arrival there was confusion when we asked for 3 vegetarian for the afternoon tea. The Tea options were not the same as their options available on their website. They didn’t even offer a Tea menu. The waiting staff were in panic mode and initially I was blamed for not letting them know. When I asked for a refund - a manager came to speak to me. In the end we agreed to stay and were offered a round of complimentary drinks but were told no cocktails available. The crockery was cracked. I had to ask for it to be changed. The bread on the sandwiches were stale. And the Prosecco I paid for was not served until much later when I reminded them It wasn’t until 45 mins into us arriving did we get served. The staff were extremely nice but overall - I would NEVER book an Afternoon Tea and advise others not to. I should have gone to my usual Sopwell House but thinking I would try a different place I tried here. Big mistake

The location is great. Located on the street where all banks, stores, supermarkets and restaurants located. The st albans cathedral abbey is just located opposite of the hotel. However, for the amenities, it would be best if they could provide hair conditioner.

This was a perfect hotel for a weekend getaway, close to London in beautiful surroundings. The Superior King room was modern, spacious and comfortable, and the hotel retains some charming historic features. We loved the outside grounds with plenty of areas to sit in the sun or shade and watch the roaming peacocks. Staff were quite attentive and the food and drinks were good. Definitely thinking of coming back again in the future.

We went today for afternoon tea to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. Food was lovely and when my husband asked for extra sandwiches and tea they delivered straight away. Lovely grounds clean and immaculate throughout. Jane our waitress was cheerful and nothing to much trouble. Only complaint was a couple next to us who also celebrated their Anniversary was given a little extra to wish them ”Happy Anniversary” but had already left. We were not acknowledged even though on the booking we stated it was our 29th wedding anniversary.

Got to the B&B and everything was as we would expect until we attempted to use the shower room sink. Water pouring from beneath. As we arrived late we conceeded we would not disturb the owners so spoke to them in the morning to let them know that we could not use our sink. Simply told that it was strange as it had been fixed recently. Later mentioned that we still found it pretty unnacceptable that we were without the use of the entire sink so requested a 10 to 20% discount of room cost as the facility was unusable to then be told “well you only use a sink for brushing teeth… so there is nothing we will do”. Pretty awful response imo. Not a huge fan of washing my hands in the shower every time we use the toilet or shaving for example. But that is what we were expected to do by the owner. Feel free to book this hotel if that’s the kind of hospitality you would like.
