The location of the hotel is relatively remote and it takes multiple transfers from the airport to take public transportation. The nearest small shopping mall also takes more than ten minutes to walk. The flight arrived in the morning, but could not be checked in early, and had to wait until 2 pm. If the hotel can be more flexible on the check-in time, the experience will be better.
The room facilities look old and there is no power socket at the bedside, which is very inconvenient. I live on the 5th floor of the top floor, but the roadside noise is still very clear, and the sound insulation and shading effect are not satisfactory. Although the water pressure and hot water in the bathroom are great, there are obviously stains on the towel that have not been replaced for many years. There are not many breakfast options and the taste is ordinary.
The actual experience of this hotel is completely not worthy of its 4 star rating. On the whole, the price is very low and I will not stay for the second time.
The location is quite convenient and overall it's decent, though a bit old-fashioned. The front desk doesn't provide adapters or anything like that, but it's fine for an overnight stay, and the price is very reasonable.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommend — A Wonderful Stay!
After 6 days of traveling, Novotel Budapest felt like a true home base. The breakfast spread alone is worth it — fresh fruits, sausages, cold cuts, unlimited juice and coffee, hot meals, and as a Filipino traveler, I was delighted to find rice! A small touch that meant a lot after days on the road.
The pool and sauna were a perfect way to unwind after long days of sightseeing. The bed was comfortable, and I loved the thoughtful detail of drinking water stations on each floor so guests can refill their bottles.
Location-wise, it’s excellent — within a 30-minute walk to the Parliament Building, the iconic Shoes on the Danube Shore, and St. Stephen’s Basilica. Prefer public transport? The nearest stop is just a 4-minute walk away.
A well-rounded hotel that balances comfort, convenience, and great amenities. I’d stay here again without hesitation!❤️
This is a pretty standard hotel, but it's really close to the airport and they have a shuttle service, which is super convenient. It's also very quiet, making it perfect for travelers flying in or out, or those on a layover. The rooms are clean and tidy, and all the amenities you need are there, including a water heater. I especially liked how the toilet, sink, and shower are all separated – very well thought out. Overall, a great hotel that I'd definitely recommend.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Mercure Budapest Castle Hill – my entire stay was absolutely flawless! The hotel boasts an unbeatable location right in the heart of Castle Hill. You can easily walk to famous attractions like Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church, and it's super convenient to reach the city center and train station with metro and bus stops right nearby. Getting around couldn't be easier.
The room itself was pristine and stylish, with a design that beautifully incorporates local art, creating a fantastic ambiance. It was spacious and bright, and the soundproofing was excellent; despite being on a main thoroughfare, it was incredibly quiet. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. The bathroom facilities were complete, with plenty of hot water and stable pressure, making for a great washing experience. High-speed, free WiFi was available throughout the room, allowing for smooth work or streaming.
The 24-hour front desk staff were warm, professional, and multilingual, making communication a breeze. Check-in and check-out were efficient and quick, and services like luggage storage and directions were thoughtful and thorough. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety of Eastern and Western dishes, all fresh and continuously replenished, providing diverse options to kickstart your day. The hotel's restaurant, bar, business center, and parking facilities are all comprehensive, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
The hotel environment is clean and grand, with unique designs in the public areas – the playful decorations in the lobby were particularly eye-catching. Overall, the value for money is outstanding compared to other hotels in its class; the environment, service, and facilities are all top-notch. If you're visiting Budapest, this is definitely a prime choice, and I'll certainly choose it again next time!
The Basiliq Hotel was beautiful and clean. It is perfectly located for all the main tourist sites and is right in front of the Basilica. I didn’t need to use any Bolt taxis, as everything was within walking distance. There were also many wonderful restaurants nearby.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was one of the nicest stays I’ve had. It really made my trip to Budapest special. I would highly recommend staying here.
I stayed at this hotel for four days, and I've grown quite fond of it. I found the transportation incredibly convenient, especially if you're planning to leave Hungary by train to your next city, as the train station (Keleti pályaudvar) is right at your doorstep. For daily commutes, you'll mainly rely on subway transfers. However, I must mention that this area, being Keleti, doesn't feel as safe as other parts of the city. It can get a bit chaotic at night, especially on the streets to the right of the hotel, which are often quite deserted. I had their breakfast here, and unfortunately, I never got to try their stir-fried noodles; it was stir-fried rice every day. I heard they used to have amazing stir-fried noodles. They generally offer yogurt, fruits, cheese, and various dishes, though the bread selection isn't extensive. Overall, I think this hotel is quite good. Their hospitality and service are also commendable; when I first arrived, I rested in their lobby, and they provided water and fruit. Room service was decent too!
The room was spacious, bright, clean, and tidy. Since we rented a two-bedroom apartment, the kitchen was fully equipped for self-catering, and a dishwasher was a particularly nice touch. The location is excellent too, with several chain supermarkets (including Asian supermarkets) within 500 meters and a metro station just 300 meters away. Overall, it's incredibly good value for money.
Very nice hotel! Perfect location - metro station, market, shops are nearby, pleasant park right in front of hotel. Easy to visit lots of attractions and interesting places on foot.
Great view from a balcony, a lot of space in the room. Comfortable beds, bathcoats and slippers are also available on request. Tablet for ordering room services and communication with reception is very convenient as well.
Good hairdryer in the bathroom, not like usual hotel small hairdryers.
Delicious breakfasts, there was something new to choose every day.
Very friendly and helpful staff 🩷
The only things I would like to have in the room - more hooks for clothes and towels in the bathroom and the second feet towel for the second guest, we had only one.
The hotel facilities are a bit old, but very clean. I didn't encounter any unpleasant issues during my stay. The hotel breakfast was great, and the staff were quick to replenish food. The location is excellent, within walking distance to two major attractions: Fisherman's Bastion and Buda Castle. If you walk a bit further, you can see the Parliament Building and Chain Bridge at night. The only downside was that on the last night, the couple next door were, uh, *very* loud, and it sounded quite painful. I'm pretty sure the whole building could hear them...

GGuest UserThe Estilo Fashion Hotel has great service, a comfortable room and a good location. We arrived in Budapest much later than expected and were very thankful to the staff and their speedy check in process that allowed us to get to our river cruise reservation on time. The staff were friendly and helpful each time we interacted with them.
The location was perfect for us. We were steps away from the Fővám tér station which had metro and tram service to many of Budapest's major sites like the parliament, chain bridge, Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion and many more. We were also steps away from the large Central Market Hall and we were on the popular Vaci Street so there were plenty of souvenirs, restaurants, bars, cafes and other conveniences close by. We took the metro from the station by the hotel that gave us easy access to the Kelenfold Station (to get to/from Vienna or Bratislava),
The room was compact but there was enough space for all of our things. It was a bit narrow with the placement of the desk and chair at the foot of the bed but we shuffled around to get by. There was a large storage cabinet as well as hangers for our things to help get stuff out of the way. The room has a mini fridge and we got a kettle and tea from the front desk during our stay. The room was quiet and the bed was comfy. The room ran a bit hot but the large window helped bring in some cool and fresh air.
The bathroom was good with good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. They have an all in one body wash in the shower and some body lotion by the sink too. We did bring some of our products but the hotel's was decent too. They had a towel rack which made our towels nice and warm and helped dry off our swimming stuff after a nice visit to the Széchenyi Thermal Baths.
The breakfast was nice and plentiful. They had very good scrambled eggs, breads and a tray of cured meats and cheeses each day. They also had a good variety of spreads and healthy items to choose from. We liked having yoghurt with a variety of seeds in it. The juice and coffee selection was nice too to help start our day. Getting there early wasn't a big issue for us but we found as it got busier not everything was consistently available.

GGuest UserBooked this for my elderly family members. If you have a car, this hotel is definitely the best choice! It's worth noting that the parking lot downstairs is not the hotel's free parking. We ended up getting a ticket for 9900 Forints.

BBamBam wowoweeWe had a really nice stay — it truly felt like home! The place was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host was kind and responsive, which made the experience even better.
One small suggestion though: it would be great to include a short video or clip with the instructions (like check-in steps or how to use certain appliances). It would make it easier to follow rather than reading through a long list of directions. Overall, a warm and pleasant stay that we’d definitely recommend!
AAnonymous UserMy recent stay at Bristol Budapest Hotel was an excellent experience from start to finish; I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest.
I arrived at around 02:00, and despite the late hour, check-in was completely seamless. The staff were clearly expecting me; this made the whole process quick and effortless; exactly what you want after a long journey.
The room itself was immaculately clean and very well presented. I appreciated the small touches; like the fridge stocked with a bottle of water, which can be replenished simply by taking it down to reception. The bed was very comfortable, with soft, high-quality linen that made for a great night’s sleep. There was also a good tea and coffee setup in the room; a welcome addition.
Even though my room faced the street, I slept with the window open and wasn’t disturbed by noise at all; something that really stood out. The bathroom was spacious enough, with plenty of clean towels and some lovely complimentary toiletries.
At one point I needed an iron and ironing board; reception provided both immediately without any fuss; which summed up the efficiency of the service throughout my stay.
Breakfast was a real highlight. I had seen some mixed reviews beforehand, but I genuinely don’t understand why. The selection was extensive; covering both continental and hot options. Everything was beautifully presented, tasted great, and was constantly replenished and well maintained. It was easily one of the best parts of my stay.
What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff. Every single person I encountered was friendly, helpful, and welcoming; always with a smile. That level of hospitality made a big difference.
Overall, this is a solid and reliable option for anyone visiting Budapest; I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

GGuest UserThe hotel provides water dispensers with fresh drinking water available daily, which is very convenient and contributes positively to overall comfort. In addition, fresh juices are offered, providing a pleasant and refreshing option throughout the day. It is also worth highlighting that there is a selection of desserts available without added sugar, which is a thoughtful and health-conscious offering. Furthermore, the bus stop is very easily accessible on foot and offers quick and convenient connections to the city center, making it simple to explore the area without the need for a car.
Mmanyuan0730Absolutely thrilled with my stay! The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a stunning view directly overlooking the Danube, with the Parliament building, Shoes on the Danube Bank, Little Princess Statue, and St. Stephen's Basilica all in sight. We were also conveniently located right behind Fisherman's Bastion, the Labyrinth, Buda Castle, and Szechenyi Chain Bridge. Everything was super accessible. The breakfast spread was incredibly generous too!
