An excellent hotel on the outskirts of Donegal Town. You could easily walk in of an evening to explore and have a bite to eat if you wished. We ate in Chapter 20 (hotel restaurant) both nights and were very pleased at the quality of food and the choice on the menu. Child’s menu also has a good variety. All staff were very friendly and were happy to make meal adjustments to suit our requests. We used the pool while we were there. This was very well kept and on both occasions the water quality was checked and amended if necessary. The jacuzzi and steam room were also very good. all in all a lovely hotel and we would have no problem recommending to others.
This hotel is starting to look tired in respect to decoration in some areas. The photos on the wall look good.
The venue appears to facilitate weddings, and the view from the reception room is good. however this appears to be the best feature.
The main concern is silver fish in the bedroom. When we spoke to staff offered another room however at 2:30 am no realistic. When I spoke with reception in the morning there was a blase stating that it is a water front hotel. breakfast was adequate how hot food not as good as cold selection.
On arrival at the Hotel was a total put off . Firstly the young receptionist couldn't find our reservation, then requested proof of confirmation through emails sent by trip. Then requested proof of identification either a passport or drivers licence. Then asked if she could take a photocopy of my drivers licence which I agreed , but should have said no as I now would like to know what's going to happen to this information. The room was nice bed was very comfy. Breakfast was lovely young friendly welcoming staff.
Could not fault this place .from checking in to checking out not one negative thing could I say about any aspect of the hotel,it's staff
Service excellent, cleanliness superb food standard up there with the best
Staff really did the hotel proud .
The staff were all lovely and helpful.
Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The decor is a little dated but everything is to a high standard.
Only problem is that check in is quite late but check out is early
