It is really a nice hotel. Good ambiance. Some people will complain about back side construction view & noise. But fortunately I got front side room, moreover who looks outside in city hotel? But for sound hotel May change backside windows to soundproof options. Clean & decorated room. Breakfast is ok, rather I would say Good if not Very Good. Reception people are very helpful, I got early check-in at 12:30PM. Nearby Shopping District. As it is busy area, so get ready for whole day huge traffic.

Honestly speaking, the hotel was great. The location was a bit far from the airport, BUT it is located at one of the cleanest places in Kolkata, making it a huge plus. Now for the details: Room: 5/5. The decoration, the ambiance, the wall art. Lobby and other places: 5/5. Absolutely loved the design and hotel architecture. Bathroom: 3.5/5. Honestly, it is a basic bathroom, but I expected more from a 5 star hotel, even on the cheaper rooms. There was no bathtub, which I feel is fairly common everywhere I’ve stayed in. ONE PROBLEM: A major issue I have faced was after turning on the water. It had a smell, which I am guessing is from the river beside it. I feel like the Hotel should add a water filter to avoid this problem, because the smell doesn’t go away until the water is turned on for at least 5-10minutes. If I wasn’t South Asian, I probably couldn’t have taken the smell as easily as I did. I would put this in High Priority to fix for attracting many more customers. Bar and Food: 4/5. Good collection, great taste but very expensive. Lastly, a shoutout to Al Jabbar and Al Sahid from the Housecleaning service, they were extremely polite, fast, very thorough with their cleaning and very well mannered. Absolutely a delight to talk to and learn about the local areas. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Very rare to find such good hotels, with some minor flaws.

We usually stay here when stopping over in Kolkata as it's conveniently located. You can catch an Uber to the airport for around 150 rupees. It's located next to a supermarket and just down the road is a nice shopping center. The staff were very attentive and helpful even though it was a busy time.

As a touring musician, I have stayed at upscale hotels worldwide, and this might be my favorite ANYWHERE. VERY comfortable, quiet rooms. The facility is beautiful and welcoming inside and out with a sharp, modern design. I particularly enjoyed the rooftop pool/spa/gymnasium area -with the excellent view, this was a great place to start the morning! The restaurant and adjacent bar are very nice. Most importantly, every single person who works here, whether front desk staff, security, or ***agement, is OUTSTANDING. They take pride in their hotel and genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. The hotel is also in a beautiful neighborhood. I sincerely hope to come back!

I have just spend some time at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Kolkata and what a good surprise. The hotel team is taking a good care of the place and makes you feel very comfortable. The restaurant is something, food is super tasty and I have enjoyed very much all I have ate. I will definitely come back. Big thank to sandip Ghosn that brings me my room service, Nikhil mondal who takes care of my room everyday, Bhabna from the restaurant but as well the people I didn’t name, from the kitchen to restaurant staff and the lobby, that are all part of the great job. The first night to stay at the hotel, because it is the red-eye flight before the check-in, arrived at the front desk at 6 in the morning, the front desk informed that the early check-in needs to pay another day's room rate, and communication through Ctrip is also fruitless, although it is a rule, but the regulations are also flexible. I just want to take a shower and hope to improve it later.

I stayed here for one night first time in Kolkata from Nepal heading to the Andaman Islands. I was greeted with lots of smiles, very friendly accommodating staff who helped me with everything I needed. I ate and drank at the bar. Everything was delicious. The room was very comfortable stocked with everything you need. Great view of their beautiful pool. It was closed for maintenance so I couldn’t try it. They made me feel like family. I highly recommend this hotel when you want to stay close to the airport in Kolkata. Thank you for everything!
