4-Star Hotels in Aichi Prefecture, Japan

This was my second stay at this hotel. Compared with my previous visit about 5–6 years ago, the facilities are starting to show their age. The air conditioner was leaking water, and the bathtub drained very slowly. After just 2–3 minutes of showering, the water had already risen above my ankles, which was quite inconvenient. Other than these maintenance issues, everything else was fine. I hope the hotel will consider improving these facilities, as I otherwise had a pleasant stay.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's right in the Chunichi Building, which is directly accessible from Exit 13 of Sakae Station. You take the elevator from B1 up to the 24th floor for the hotel lobby. The room layout is great; you can fully open three large suitcases. There's an observation deck on the 7th floor where you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Nagoya's nightscape. To get to Mitsukoshi Department Store, you can use the underground passage and come out at Exit 16. The hotel is also very convenient for Nagoya Station, just two subway stops away. This will definitely be my top choice for my next visit to Nagoya.

Upon checking in, the front desk provides a tablet for guests to enter all their details, after which you receive a room door code. The room looks exactly like the photos, with the only drawbacks being a noticeably dirty sofa and carpet, and the hotel's somewhat remote location. The only nearby attraction is Osu Shopping Street; getting to other places feels quite a distance away. On the positive side, the fridge is large, and there's a washing machine, a small oven, and a microwave, along with a kitchenette for cooking. If only adults are staying, each person can download the Loop shared electric assist bicycle app, as the hotel has a station on the ground floor, and other nearby stations are also quite easy to find bikes at.

The hotel's location is excellent, situated between two subway stations, both about a 6-7 minute walk away. It's a direct, two or three stop subway ride from Nagoya Station, and getting to other attractions is also very convenient. The room size is decent, a bit larger than other hotels I've stayed in. A special thanks to Ms. Mishima at the front desk; she was incredibly helpful, assisting me over two days with bus routes to various destinations. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Great location, a few minutes from nagoya station, underground shopping. Hotel has a public bath, quite good the only problem I had was with other guest not removing their shoes. Great restaurants nearby and a Lawson downstairs.

Our family, including two elementary school-aged children, stayed here for a room-only plan. The entire room was incredibly spacious. Having separate bedroom and living/dining areas was fantastic, especially in the mornings and evenings, as everyone could go about their routine at their own pace. The furnishings and appliances were top-notch (especially the ReFa hairdryer and shower, and the super comfortable sofa bed). Plus, there were trial appliances available for use, which made our stay even more pleasant. There's a 24-hour convenience store and a food court on the ground floor of STATION Ai, where the hotel is located, and plenty of dining options within walking distance, so we never had trouble finding food. We'd love to stay here again!

I stayed here once in 2019 and loved it so much that I chose it again this time, but it really disappointed me. I asked for bottled water, and a slightly overweight man at the front desk very curtly told me, 'You two, only one bottle per person per day!' I was so angry and asked them to find someone who could speak English. After a long wait, a woman finally came out, looking a bit arrogant. After I explained the situation, she said there was no such rule. I told her I just wanted to clarify who made the rule about one bottle per person per day. I could do without their water, but I needed an explanation! Service: Genuinely poor, can't compare to before.

We specifically chose this hotel for LEGOLAND, and the room was spacious enough. The kids loved the treasure chest game. There was a wide variety of breakfast options, and the food was quite good. The location is excellent if you're visiting LEGOLAND, but it's a bit too far if you plan to go anywhere else, which is why we later moved to a hotel closer to Nagoya Station. The room was very clean, and the service was typical Japanese standard. There are a few restaurants nearby where you can have dinner.

The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The complimentary toiletries were of excellent quality, and we appreciated being able to choose them ourselves. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. The location was super convenient, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, making it easy to grab a bite even late at night. We were disappointed that we couldn't store our luggage for two days after checking out, but we understand their policy.

Although the hotel is a bit dated overall, its location is very convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Nagoya Station, and the rooms are quite spacious. The service was very thoughtful; on our second stay, they had already opened the connecting door between our two rooms based on our preferences from our first visit and had placed our luggage, which we had stored at the hotel, into the room beforehand.
