An upscale hotel offering great value for money. From the windows, you're treated to unparalleled views of the Seto Inland Sea, its islands, and Hiroshima's stunning night skyline. I would absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Hiroshima. The staff spoke good English and were very friendly. The only minor drawback was that the bathroom walls appeared a bit dated, but this is understandable given the hotel's long operational history.

Good hotel in an outstanding location for Hiroshima’s most important tourist sites: the Memorial Peace Park, Museum, and the iconic Iron Dome. The Knot is a 10-minute walk from these sites. Less desirable is the lack of viable restaurants-especially breakfast- besides the hotel’s restaurant- in the immediate area; while the hotel restaurant is fine, it’s pricey and gets redundant after a few meals. Access to the Hiroshima train station is a mere 15-minute walk to the #2 & #6 trolley line. Don’t be weirded out when you can’t find the reception desk to check in; it’s on the 14th floor for inexplicable reasons. There’s a bar with snacks there, too. Checkout is a breeze. Just toss your key into a bin slot on the elevator on your way out. Overall, a solid hotel choice.

Modern and clean hotel, located close to the electric train (trams) Reception is located on the top floor (14) lots of nice accessories available plus lovely snacks and coffee/tea through out the day, highly appreciated. Room was lovely, clean, has small window, but not an issue. Breakfast was standard, and staff were polite. Shops and restaurants on road, easy to walk to memorial park, about 15 minutes, 3 stops from main train station, easy to navigate to Miyajimaguchi island. Wonderful two days.

The staff are really nice and helpful! My partner was suffering from stomachaches and diarrhoea after having sushi and sashimi, but it’s very difficult for a non-local to seek medical consultation in foreign countries. The receptionist, Mr Inuyama, helped us to find the nearest doctor with care and sympathy. My partner finally got better on the last day of Hiroshima trip. However, there is room for improvement in the cleanliness, the carpet has some stains. Overall a good hotel, strongly recommended.

I recently stayed at the Oriental Hotel Hiorshima, a charming hotel that shows its age in the building and facilities. However, the friendly staff made a lasting impression with their exceptional hospitality. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a complimentary welcome drink and snacks, a thoughtful touch that made me feel valued. Despite the vintage vibe, my stay was incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. If you're looking for a place with character and excellent service, the Oriental Hotel Hiorshima is a great choice. Just be prepared for its charming quirks!

Came back to this place a second time. Breakfast was outstanding. We had a river view room which was on the 15th floor - spectacular view. We were fortunate and got a double (maybe slightly larger - almost a queen sized) bed. The room was not huge but it was big enough, we weren't cramped. The only real downside is there is no onsen or swimming pool.The staff are friendly and helpful. We would come back again.

The hotel is huge and in a great location, very convenient for getting around, and close to the airport bus stop. The room view was decent. The nearby mall wasn't very exciting though, a bit boring. It's also close to the Atomic Bomb Dome. However, the room facilities are really, really, really outdated. The decor is old-fashioned and not suitable for young people. I wouldn't recommend it.

I went to Miyajima on a family trip and used it for the first time. It is a feeling that the old good old inn built by the sea near the bustling shopping street which is the main street is renovated for the present age, and the whole facility ~ the facilities in the room are unified and beautifully arranged It was a very nice inn where you can feel the old history in 々 while being able to feel it. There are many free services available only for guests. The hotel has a lounge with free drinks to enjoy the scenery in the lobby and the top floor, and there is also a service where you can choose multiple pillows and yukata according to your preference. There are plenty of drinks and sweets in the room, so I didn't have to worry about the expenses of fine beverages. This inn will respond as flexibly and pleasantly as possible to the wishes of the guests. For example, in our case this time, when we told our family in advance that there are people with bad legs, they can install a bed in a Japanese-style room, and change the basic dishes provided to each person's taste. Even if I was lost, I was able to make a flexible response and suggestion immediately, so I was able to spend a very comfortable time. The hot spring is in the basement, and it has an old-fashioned atmosphere with only a large bathtub １, and it is not so large, and the scenery is not good because it is in the basement. Compared to the hot spring resorts devised at this time, it may feel unsatisfactory, but it is clean and the temperature is around ４０ degrees, so it is ”good old” while taking a long bath. I felt that it was a place to enjoy. It was stated that the quality of the hot water was slightly salty and smooth, and it was pumped and boiled from the source. I was able to take a comfortable bath without being squeezed or dry even by families with weak skin. Unfortunately, there are no open-air baths or private baths, but some rooms have open-air baths with rooms, so I think you can choose according to your taste. What should be noted here is the wonderfulness of the food. The amount of meals varies or is insufficient depending on the course and price, which is often a big preparation at such a large inn, and the impression and quality of appearance are greatly different from the images on the site. Instead of having a sense of failure such as the dishes that were cold at the time of serving inn dishes, we were able to provide a wonderful dish of a more impressive level. This time we were in the room, and it was originally said that Masazen was the basic set, but ４ kind of seasonal course dishes (Masazen, delicious fish, delicious meat, delicious feast) with guidance on the site. I requested it at the stage of advance reservation and received everything with my family. There is no loss at all in every course, and the abundant ingredients unique to the land are carefully prepared, and all of them are very delicious, and the individual dishes requested by the order are prepared quickly. At the end, he made rice balls for dinner, which were full and could not be eaten, and he was able to provide a supreme time beyond the best. In addition, the breakfast at the dining hall I received the next morning was surprisingly luxurious with a large number of items, but the amount was gradually appropriate and very satisfying. The seasoning is natural, healthy, and exquisite taste adjustment and appropriate temperature, which does not rely on artificial taste operations such as umami seasonings, while protecting the gentle flavor that makes the best use of the goodness of fresh ingredients. Near the pier, up a hill, the environment is quiet, the bathhouse is not big, and fortunately there are not many people. The breakfast is exquisite. Some of the waiters are from Taiwan, so communication is no problem. From the rooms on the sixth floor of the hotel, you can see the old ruins of Miyao Castle on the key mountain (the site of the Itsukushima Battle), and you can see the large torii gate from the side, and the view is acceptable.

Amazing hotel and I cannot wait to go back. The view is to die for. I just wish I had checked in a lot earlier. The convenience store downstairs sells alcoholic drinks, bento and other snacks at reasonable prices. The shuttle bus is convenient but does not run that frequently so I recommend you to check it well in advance. I ended up paying around 3500 yen for taxi one way 🤣
