A very comfortable stay. The hotel is close to Sendai Station and there are several carparks nearby. It was also very convenient to have a FamilyMart next to the lobby on the ground floor. The laundry area is quite small and would have been nicer if there were more machines available. The dryer was unfortunately not very efficient. Service was great and the hotel was very clean. Rooms were of a good size. Would return.
Our 8-day stay at Hotel Metropolitan Sendai East was exceptional from start to finish. We booked a Superior Double room, and it felt surprisingly spacious and comfortable—especially for an extended stay.
If I had to sum up this hotel in one word, it would be convenience. Its location directly within Sendai Station makes getting around effortless. Trains, buses, and a wide variety of dining options are all just steps away, which made exploring the area incredibly easy.
The breakfast selection was generous and satisfying, offering plenty of options to start the day well. What truly stood out, however, was the customer service—consistently attentive, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay.
We would absolutely choose to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sendai.
The hotel's location is excellent; it's right by the Kōtōdaikōen subway station. Across the street, you'll find Mitsukoshi Department Store and a shopping arcade, making dining and shopping very convenient. The hotel room was a decent size, and overall cleanliness was good, though the windowsill had some dust when I checked in, perhaps due to a rushed cleaning. Also, there was no air purifier in the room. Overall, it's still quite good. The front desk staff were very friendly, and breakfast was nice too.
Amazing hotel with great service. All the amenities provided are top notch, and perhaps being a business hotel, it comes with everything imaginable in your room. Fridge, water kettle, pajamas, notepad and pen, alarm clock (yes, analog Casio), USB C-A converter because the bed still has USB A socket, takubin (luggage delivery) forms, trouser press, shoe brush, etc, etc. I think their motto is don't wait until the guest ask for it, just make sure it's available. They really anticipated everything. Starbucks and 711 on the 1st floor. Wanted to try the restaurant on the 13th floor, but because I had no reservation, and there were already many people there, sadly they turned me away.
The hotel is quite nice, about a 10-minute walk from the station, which is convenient for shopping. Mitsui Department Store is nearby, just across the street. The hotel has a large public bath, which is great for a relaxing soak after a day out. Just try to avoid peak hours.
The location is great, not far from JR Sendai Station, less than a 10-minute walk, and the path is easy to navigate. There are many shops and convenience stores around, and even several drugstores right across from the hotel, which was perfect for our late-night shopping spree until 11 PM!
The hotel also offers a good selection of drinks and snacks, plus late-night supper. The public bath is clean and comfortable, and you can enjoy it until 1 AM, which is absolutely ideal for those of us who like to stay out until after 11 PM and then come back to relax and unwind!

The dinner buffet was great, with a wide variety of choices, including Sendai specialties like charcoal-grilled beef tongue, crab legs, Shiroishi Umen noodles, and Hirata pork. The onsen uses 'Tabibijin' bath products. There's also a good selection of souvenirs for sale. The room was quite spacious too.
This was my second stay at this hotel. Coincidentally, it was during a Japanese long weekend, and the room rate for two nights skyrocketed from over 800 to nearly 1500 yuan. The bed also downsized from 1.6m to 1.4m. My experience declined, but that's not the hotel's fault, it's my wallet's fault.
The hotel is conveniently located just right outside of the train station (shinkansen west exit) and it’s linked to the shopping malls that are around the stations. The bus stops are just below as well, good if you are taking a bus out or if you joined day trips departing from Sendai. The hotel is also very comfortable and the hotel staff are very friendly.
The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The spacious environment made the stay very comfortable. The bathroom was fully equipped, featuring a rainfall shower and a separate wet and dry area for added convenience. The extra-large double bed came with four pillow options, catering to different preferences. Additionally, the room provided a hairdryer, straightener, and curling iron, which was a thoughtful touch. The staff were polite and friendly, making the overall experience even more pleasant.

CcocozhengwenExtremely satisfied with my stay! The room was quite spacious. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Sendai next time, and I'll recommend it to friends who need a place to stay. The drip coffee provided by the hotel was also surprisingly good.

MM315587****The location is great, right in a shopping street, about a 15-minute walk from the station. There are plenty of shops nearby, making it very convenient for dining and other needs. The hotel uses a self-service check-in and check-out system at the front desk, and the overall experience was excellent. The room I booked this time was over 30 square meters, which is quite spacious for a Japanese hotel and offers great value for money. The facilities are also relatively new. I'm very satisfied with my stay.

GGuest UserThe ryokan location is excellent. My room has a huge picture window facing east. I can see the famous bay with its many islands, including the Fukuura island (福浦𡷊), in the morning with wonderful sun rise view. The Japanese breakfasts were excellent especially the one on our second day… fresh grilled fish, etc.. The Kaiseki dinners for both nights were wonderful with fresh grilled fish and high grade wagyu beef plus oyster cooked to perfection. The Onsens on the other hand are just Okay. However with the view of Fukuura island and its red bridge … nice.
Cch.bWe stay here for two consective years and the main reason is their breakfast buffet which is not a huge line but they had every local famous items to offer, one of the best breakfast with variety of local choices for guest to enjoy with proper menu rotation. Easy access from Sendai station, walking distance to Sendai Station, Bus stop, Aeon supermarket, Montbell shop, lots of nearby local restaurants, family mart and 7-11. coffee capsule machine available at lobby from afternoon time onward.
