A hotel with a magnificent view. It is really hard to find such a view. Especially the view from the top bar floor is extraordinary. The rooms could be cleaned more meticulously. It is not dirty but it could be cleaned more meticulously. The breakfast was average, the dinner menu was not very extensive, at least in the bar section. The welcome in the lobby was respectful and smiling. We were offered hot towels and fruit juice as soon as we arrived. The hotel is on the slope of a hill but I think the lack of a link bus service to the city center is a shortcoming.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of major destinations such as shopping malls, Kandy Lake, and the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Hygiene is acceptable, but the room had a strong odor, and the facilities are rather old.

The moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with a refreshing juice and walked us to a viewpoint — the sight of Sigiriya Rock was absolutely mesmerizing. The room is incredibly cozy with beautiful, interesting wooden decor that gives such a warm local feel. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh fruit and great coffee. A perfect stay for exploring the ancient rock fortress!

Very clean and beautiful hotel located atop the mountain. We had a gorgeous view of Kandy! Food was delicious and service was excellent. The staff were very attentive to our needs. The hotel is about 10 min from city center not too far. Would recommend to anyone visiting Kandy!

The service is very good, the environment is average, the room is very humid and there are big bugs. The advantage is that the location is very good. It is on the top of the mountain in Kandy and has a good view. When you wake up in the morning, you can hear the chanting of Buddha's Tooth Relic Temple and see the morning mist.

The landscape is good, December is not the flood season with less water. The air is very fresh, but I was bitten by the water for the first time in my life and the blood flowed. The waiters at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The facilities are really not good. There was no hot water in the bath for a few minutes, and there was no hot water later. The whole room has a small mirror on the bathroom sink. Toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided, and the hair dryer has to ask the hotel for it. Bottled water is not provided, there is a small bucket of drinking water in the room to drink. No quilt? There are two blankets found in the cabinet that will cover it. The concept of ecological environmental protection can be understood, and the comfort level is definitely discounted. Finally, it is difficult to go to the hotel's mountain path. If you encounter the rainy season, there may be a landslide risk.

Melheim Kandy Villas is a charming hillside retreat that blends comfort, nature, and warm hospitality beautifully. Nestled amidst lush greenery with sweeping views of the Kandy hills, it offers a peaceful escape from the bustle of the city while still being within a reasonable drive to key attractions. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows or balconies that let you soak in the serene surroundings. The beds are comfortable, and the overall ambiance feels homely yet refined. While the property is generally well-maintained, a few minor maintenance touches could make it even better. One of the highlights is the service — the staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and eager to make your stay memorable. The breakfast is hearty and flavorful, often featuring fresh local produce, and dining on the terrace with a view is a treat in itself

This hotel is located in the forest within walking distance of Sigiriya. Since it’s in the forest, I expected there to be a lot of insects, but to my surprise, there were hardly any inside the room, and I was able to stay comfortably. I had booked for two nights, planning to climb Sigiriya Rock in the morning and then relax by the pool in the afternoon. However, it seems that the hotel has a policy of turning off the electricity in the rooms during the daytime. Although I asked a staff member to turn the main power back on and they did, it was soon turned off again. When the main power is off, the room becomes completely dark, and neither the Wi-Fi nor the air conditioner works. It was clear that even if I asked them to turn it back on again, the same thing would just keep happening. I felt it would only add to my stress, so I decided to move to another hotel.

The building was nice and the room was large and the staff was great. The location is also convenient, 15 minutes drive from the station and 5 minutes walk from the bus terminal. The shower is cold only with repeated hot water and water. The room also has no air conditioning, so it gets cold at night. It is still good if you have a blanket and slippers.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Oak Ray Tea Bush. The food was delicious, the hospitality was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The view from our room was absolutely amazing and was one of the highlights of our stay. However, we were disappointed to find a cockroach in our room. This was especially upsetting for my wife, as she is very afraid of cockroaches, and it made her feel very uncomfortable. We hope the hotel can improve its pest control and housekeeping to ensure guests have a more comfortable experience. Aside from this issue, we appreciated the warm service and beautiful surroundings. With better attention to room cleanliness and pest control, this hotel has the potential to provide an even better experience.
