Quartz Hotel & Spa
4.5/5103 Reviews
This is my second visit to the Quartz for medical tourism. The location is perfect in a nice part of town and the upper plaza has its own level connected to the New City Medical building and so medical offices are easily and safely accessible to guests. Pool and spa were well maintained and a beautiful garden is also out in the area. Within walking distance is a market and a ****** and little shops. Taxis are easy to find should you need. The rooms are exceptionally clean with comfortable robes and attention to details like lighting and temperature. The staff is pleasant and there is always someone who speaks English well enough to communicate. They are friendly and helpful. There is an upscale Spa and artist feel to the place. I will be back.
Hotel Araiza Mexicali
4.2/5108 Reviews
The worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a long long time. I stayed for two nights, the first night there was a security guard at 3 am on my floor corridor talking on his walkie talkie at FULL volume, for 40 minutes, which is 40 minutes too long. I called reception but their response was that they didn’t have any register of hotel personnel by the corridor at that time, AKA “you’re making this up”. After a while, I was finally able to fall asleep, only to be woken up again at 7 am due to cleaning personnel vacuuming the corridor. Let me say this again, 7 am, VACUUMING the corridor, oh you know, only the LOUDEST of cleaning procedures there can be. When I called reception, their response was that cleaning starts at 11 am, AKA “you’re making this up VOL. II”. And can I just add, this is on Christmas eve, a date when most hotels in Mexicali receive visitors, not an off season. How does this happen? Who allows for this to happen? One of the busiest seasons and it feels like Araiza’s guests are at the bottom of its priorities. On the second night, the guests next door started blasting music, drinking and overall being as loud as one possibly can. I get it, its Christmas, but maybe stop when it’s 2 am you know? So, after a while, I called reception and asked for them to intervene. They said they would send someone to check on this but 20 minutes passed and no one did. I called again and they said it was only TV noise and there’s nothing prohibiting a guest of watching TV on their room. It was NOT TV noise, I recorded how loud it was, went to the reception and showed them. They had 2 security guards come up with me. The noise from these guests could be heard from the elevator. The security guards knocked on their door and asked them to keep it down and lower their music. This whole ordeal took around 30 minutes. Some time passed and then, again, they blasted music and started being impossibly loud. I had to call reception and ask for security guards for the third time. All the while, I felt as if I was inconveniencing hotel personnel with this, as if no one ever complains and this is just how things are until I showed up and started complaining. Seriously, TERRIBLE service, absolute disappointment given that this is one of the top hotels in the area. I’m never putting a foot in here again, and you shouldn’t either.
Grand Hotel Tijuana

So not bad at all. Stayed for about a week. Ordered lots of room service and drank at the bar. Room was wonderful. My only complaint was when I called room service one night and the guy was obviously annoyed, quite rude. I asked for the total of my order to have money ready and he judt plainly say ”no. Anything else? I responded no then he hangs up. No time or thank you. Other than that I enjoyed the security of the hotel, we left money out and maid service came by while we were lit and they didn't take it but instead changed our sheets, towels and tidied up my workstation (desk). Will be returning in April again.
Hotel Lucerna Tijuana

There are just way better hotels to stay at, where you can get better service in an area more conducive to walking around without needing a taxi. We booked this hotel because of its star ratings. We enjoy staying in nice hotels! This hotel is a 3 star at best based off the services provided by the staff alone. They missed so many little details it’s SAD! I am here on a medical recovery so we ordered lots of room service. Not ONCE did they get our orders correct. Each time the staff had to return 1-2 times to bring things back and looked frustrated that they had to bring things that they had forgotten. Last straw was I ordered a salad and they didn’t bring dressing, they took 30 minutes to bring the dressing and then asked for a charge correction because they made yet another mistake! We ordered drinks several times with no ice buckets and waited an hour for that also. The room was poorly cleaned. Leaving trash cans with no trash bags inside of them. We went out for a walk so they could clean the room and again. Poor job cleaning, floor not swept, still no trash bags in the garbage and bathroom not cleaned well. The area isn’t the best, the streets are wild so it’s difficult to just take a walk across the street unless you are literally running across. It isn’t really near anything. The room next to us had children staying there that we could easily hear all night. Not blaming the children it’s just the rooms are not very sound proof at all.
Real Inn Tijuana by Camino Real Hoteles
4.1/5105 Reviews
Disadvantages: This hotel is in the city center, the traffic volume is relatively large nearby, the sound insulation effect of the room is not ideal. Another point is that this hotel does not provide breakfast (it is a high-class hotel nearby, after all, the accommodation fee is so high) Advantages: Excellent location, convenient transportation, close to the airport and long-distance bus station. The best place to enjoy the lively, diagonally opposite the hotel is a well-known RIO shopping plaza, which has Adi Nike stores, well-known cosmetics stores, Apple stores, etc., a small partner who knows Spanish, about a Mexican girl. In the Spanish-style love movie (about), there is a Starbucks coffee shop under the hotel. You can have a cup of matcha star ice music (personal preference) in the afternoon. If you can’t sleep at night, you can also think of your sister. Come to the small bar next to the hotel lobby for a drink, and have a good night's sleep. Maybe there will be an affair in your dreams. Last reminder: Tijuana is a relatively bad border city in Mexico (the murder rate of drug abuse is high), so nothing to run around.
K Tower Boutique Hotel by Lucerna
4.3/5101 Reviews
I’ve been on Trip Advisor for a long time and have never posted a review. I felt compelled to do this after staying at the K Tower Hotel for the past 2 weeks. My wife and I decided to go to Tijuana for alternative cancer treatment at the Oasis of Hope Hospital in Tijuana. Needless to say neither of us was very excited about the prospect of spending several weeks in Tijuana. However all of that changed once we found the K Tower hotel. From the manager Jose to the concierge Christian and Marcos and all of the wait staff in the excellent restaurants we have been more than satisfied with our stay here. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure we are comfortable and all of our needs are met. Our room is huge and extremely clean. Both the downstairs pool and the upstairs rooftop pool are gorgeous! The rooftop bar, pool and hot tub are straight out of Architectural Digest and are top notch. There is a DJ most nights playing really good music. The food in the 3 restaurants is amazing- fresh fish, beef, chicken and vegetables with amazing presentation and so is the room service for that matter. Rooftop sushi is excellent and fresh. If you find yourself in Tijuana please don’t hesitate to stay here at the K Tower or its sister property the Hotel Lucerne (they are adjacent).

Very satisfied, the environment is good, the space is spacious, and it comes with kitchen tools. I can cook noodles, especially for foreigners who are not used to eating local food. This is especially helpful.
