This was our second stay at the hotel, and the experience was just okay. The kids’ pool and city view were nice, but the service was poor. We had a frightening experience when we were stuck in the lift for 25–30 minutes. The lift seems old and not well maintained. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and ensures guest safety so others do not face the same situation. We also requested a small anniversary gesture—a heart towel design on the bed—a week before check-in, but it was not arranged due to a lack of staff. This was disappointing, as the request was made well in advance.
Positives
- Fast check in & out process
- 24/7 gym access
- Surau is available
- Excellent breakfast*
- Strategic location
- Decent swimming pool
*I've been to many hotels, from basic to super luxurious & it's hard to find any that serve a decent Nasi Lemak but here (although not great) still i'd say is the best among other hotels that i've stayed at previously
Negative
- Just one. The qibla direction within the room is hidden. If any muslim guests are wondering where it is, it's in the drawer at the door where the laundry bag & stuffs are at (this is the first time EVER that i find it situated at such an awkward place 😆) This seems trivial but please consider putting it where it's easily visible (like the rest of the hotels). Because i've spent quite some time searching for it, only to find it when i was already about to check out from the hotel.
Luckily i prayed at the surau during my stay.
Overall
9/10
They moved towards sustainability road hence they will not provide free mineral water bottles, toothbrushes and slippers in the room. You will need to request it if you really need it. Room is pretty basic, cleanliness is average. Breakfast provided is not the buffet type, it’s the set dine at the coffee shop. If you want buffet, need to add RM7/person/day. Food is not specifically good.
Although the hotel is a bit old, it offers great value for money. The beach is beautiful, the environment is relaxing, and everything is clean and well maintained. I truly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come back again!”
We had such a pleasant family getaway at Colmar Tropicale with our two little ones. The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable from the moment we checked in. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to assisting us with bags and stroller access — something we truly appreciate as parents of two babies!
The French-inspired village is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for slow family walks and photos. Our room was clean, spacious enough for the babies’ essentials, and comfortable for all of us. We also loved how calm the environment was, making nap times easy.
Situated in the heart of Pekan city, this hotel offers comfortable and ambience stay at affordable price. The room is equipped with iron, ironing board, bathtub, safe box, refrigator and working space (business table and chair).
Outside facilities including swimming pools (adult, kids) and playground. Free parking is provided.
Additional cost: RM 35 for breakfast buffet (adults)
Loved the stay, nice hotel, nice ambience, but hope i checked in earlier cause we ended up getting 2 single bed and not king bed because no available rooms anymore :((( breakfast buffet was okay, the spaghetti, cereal and porridge needs improvement, the others are delicious especially the homemade peanut butter, to die for!!! Loved it, wish I could take it home with me. Overall, it’s a nice stay.
I stayed 1 night at Grand Darul Makmur Hotel Kuantan during a business trip. The hotel and room size are quite spacious, which was comfortable. The room does look a little old, but overall still fine for a short stay. Breakfast buffet starts at 7am with plenty of food choices, though the taste was just average. By the way, even if you book and pay through Trip.com, you’ll still need to pay a small tax directly to the hotel — in my case, it was RM3. Overall, a decent stay for business purposes.
A very comfortable stay. The view from the room is absolutely beautiful (you can see the tide coming in and going out 😍). The room amenities are comprehensive and well-equipped 👍 10 stars.

Very Good
Ssmiba msiaRoom have no towel. Was advise by the receptionist that the towel will be sent to room. But no response at all. Waited almost 3 hours no one sent. The room provided iron with international plug, but there is no international plug slot in the homestays. Tried call the receptionist so many times using the phone provided by no one answered at all. Was very disappointed as ended wearing shirt without ironing it. Check out time- I saw towels hanging out at the door (outside) but they doesn't inform or the room bell was not ring. The washroom is very dark as one of the light is not functioning. Overall,it was a disappoinment stays.

GGuest UserLOVED ANTARA super sad that the price of it is slowly increasing……
staffs are super helpful but the different towers can be a little confusing to get around as they all have different names. room is still fairly new hence the cleanliness is still good. i LOVED the washing machine and bathtub. will definitely stay again if theres any discount for the room.
great view too and i clocked in 20k steps a day walking to genting highland and the chin swee temple hehe (est 20 mins to each location from hotel)
RRezal Syadanie Abd RaniI love to stay here very much. Came with my family for a short stay, we enjoyed our time here due to its spacious villa, located in front of the beautiful beach of Cherating, got private pool thats one of the most important part, excellent hospitality by the hotel's staff, the foods were great! And got free snacks and soft drinks too in the fridge.

GGuest UserThe location is superb as there are so many food stalls by the roadside, many cafes and shops just within walking distance. The whole apartment is spotless and very well maintained. We came as a family of 6 and everyone was comfortable and enjoyed the short stay. Kudos to the management who made the check-in process very systematic and hassle free. Thank you for the pleasant stay. Will definitely come again.
GGuest UserWhat i like:
- Swimming pool
- Cleanliness
- Scenic view from the hotel room
- Easy Parking
What could be improved:
- Soundproofing (i can hear the voices from other guests that are a couple rooms away from mine)
- Breakfast (it was average. I loved the waffles though)
Other:
- The condition of the road leading to the hotel simply put is terrible. I've stayed at the residential building years before this hotel was even operational & even then the road was terrible & has remained the same if not worse now since there is plenty of construction works & new buildings being erected. So i guess this one won't change for awhile.
But for the hotel itself,
I give it an overall
8/10 ✨

MMarina YoshiWe had a lovely one-night stay at Swiss-Garden Beach Resort on a last-minute, impromptu trip with my husband and our two kids. Even though it was short, it was exactly what we needed—a quick reset by the beach.
The resort is spacious, family-friendly, and very relaxing. The kids enjoyed the open areas and beach vibes, while we appreciated the calm atmosphere and comfortable room. The staff were friendly and accommodating despite our last-minute booking, which made the experience even better.
Overall, it was a simple but meaningful getaway. Definitely a great option for families looking for a short escape without too much planning.
