The room is spacious, and Harun always does an excellent job cleaning it; his service is enthusiastic.
Facilities: Good.
Service: Very good, though it's a shame they don't allow a slightly later checkout đ. They require checkout at 11 AM, and by 12 PM, they were already calling us to hurry up and leave. They're quite strict about not allowing late check-outs, probably because rooms are in high demand during peak season.
Environment: Very quiet, you can't hear any motorbike noise, and it's convenient for getting to all the attractions.
I was upgraded to a Deluxe room but it was at the extreme corner next to the service staircase. Grateful for the upgraded but the room conditions were not up to par . Hair in shower room , the shower holder fell when I was taking it out and it dropped on my toe . Hence the blue black toe shown ( hehe ) . I could not sleep the whole night as the air con was very very noisy even when I lower the adjustment. The day curtain was torn . I sound it out to reception the next morning to see whether they can change my room as I was staying for another 2 nights . They did and I reckoned it was another up grade as now the room has a standing shower room . In the other previous room , you have to stand in the bath tub to shower and for a man of 65 , it is a bit tricky . The hotel really needs an up grade too . It is in a good location and CAT bus is nearby . The CAT shuttle is a complimentary bus that moves around the town area .
The saving grace for my trip was that the staff was up to par and reacted quickly . Well done on this .
Now , I wait for my toe to heal .
This hotel truly deserves a good review. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit.
**Service:** Top-notch! The hotel knew we needed to change (Penang was so hot!), and they let us check in early at 10 AM since a room was available. Water was also delivered to our room very quickly.
**Location:** Super convenient. There's a 7-Eleven right next door and a shopping mall.
**Accommodation Experience:** I requested a standing shower room in advance, and that's exactly what I got. The bed was quite large, and the overall feeling was spacious and clean.
**Dining:** During the May Day holiday, there was about a 5-minute wait for breakfast, which was perfectly acceptable.
The hotel exceeds my expectations. The room has sleek interior design and is spacious and clean. The amenities look new and well maintained by repurposing rooms in the 15th floor. The lobby and the complimentary coffee is great too!
Location wise, not much going around the hotel but grab is easy and quite near to Georgetown too.
Itâs just that my room has a weird smell near the bathroom (probably from sanitation/sewage) because it smells the same in the toilet near the swimming pool. Not a dealbreaker because the smell is quite contained and you wonât smell it from your bed or anything but it may be the first smell that welcomes you as you enter the room as the bathroom/toilet is area is just beside the door.
Although the hotel opened in 2014, the rooms' facilities and cleanliness are still very well-maintained. The shower has great water pressure, making for a very comfortable bathing experience. The pillows in the room were a bit uncomfortable for me â too high and too springy. The bed was large and the mattress was very comfortable. My room didn't come with bathrobes. It was quiet at night, and the air conditioning in the room was strong. Directly opposite the hotel is a large shopping mall, and a big supermarket is not far away. It's also within walking distance to various attractions. The infinity pool is excellent, with a good long lane for swimming. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10 AM, and the food selection is substantial and fitting for a 4-star hotel, offering everything you'd expect.
The hotel's location is decent, and the building itself is impressive. The lobby service was good; we arrived in the morning, and while early check-in wasn't an option for most, we were able to store our luggage and head out to explore. The room size was acceptable, and it was kept clean. The Wi-Fi speed was a bit slow, but housekeeping did a great job every day. There's a lively night market right downstairs, bustling every night except Wednesdays. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Mural Street. Breakfast was fine, and the restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. During our stay, there was some exterior renovation happening, which the hotel informed us about in advance. However, the most annoying issue was the highly unstable water supply during those days. We occasionally had no hot water during the day, and sometimes even a complete water cutoff. When the water did return, it was very yellow. On the evening of the 23rd, there was no hot water at all, and we had to wait until 11:30 PM for a hot shower. This was the biggest flaw of our stay, and I hope the hotel addresses and improves this.
⢠The Hotel: The hotel is easy access from main road. The building is conjoined with michelin restaurant (same entrance in lobby).
⢠The room: I arrived an hour early and the staff offer earlier checkin since my room was ready, how amazing! The room was enough for 1 person and there's a designated space for luggage so it didn't block the way / on the floor. Clean and well maintained. Basic amenities were met. Hot/Cold water works (just need time to warm up). Window can be open for air movement. I didn't have breakfast service because there're SO many restaurants nearby and walking distance.
⢠The nearby attractions: The reason I chose this hotel cause it's all walking distance from places I want to go. The famous Penang Laksa is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel! And 2 minutes walk from the hotel is Kimberley Street (famous for night market street foods). There are 1 convenience store 24/7 within 4 mins of the hotel walk. The iconic P66 Store is walking distance (7 minutes), Makan Pagi is just 10 minutes walk, and even: the famous Armenian Street is just 1km / 10 minutes slow walk away from the hotel. The location is just strategic for my itineraries.
Overall, I enjoy my stay and if I visit Penang again, definitely will stay here. It's safe for female solo travelers.
Notes: 1) Like others pointed out, there's no concierge and trolley service so you gotta drag your suitcases. Entrance access is wheelchair friendly too!
2) There're 100 MYR deposit, to be returned when you checkout (don't lose the paper receipt!)
This hotel is considered an older, established 4-star property in the old town, and some of the facilities are a bit dated; I hope they can be updated. The hotel breakfast is excellent, with a good variety and local specialties, though I wish they'd improve the drink quality. My room was old, the AC was leaking, and the ceiling was visibly peeling. Lin at the front desk, who speaks Chinese, provided exceptional service, while others were just average. We arrived on New Year's Eve without a reservation for the buffet dinner, but Lin communicated with the restaurant and managed to get us an extra table so we could enjoy our New Year's Eve meal. However, the 188 MYR price didn't match the quality; if this were in China, it probably wouldn't last a month. The salmon was cut into small strips, and the plate was empty quicklyâlooks like it's the same everywhere, haha. Ninety percent of the diners were local Chinese. The hotel is located in the old town, about a 15-minute walk to the mural street, and not far from Little India and the Peranakan Museum. There's a hawker center downstairs, but it was closed for the New Year. Overall, the hotel is good, and the location is quiet yet central.
For solo travelers like me, this place is incredibly convenient because of its excellent transportation links. All the main attractions â whether it's the beach, historic houses, restaurants, or various downtown spots â are within walking distance. I stayed here for a week and didn't need a single taxi. In the evenings, I could just stroll out to a bar or find some great food. I even made quite a few friends! The hotel's restaurant is also very good. Overall, the value for money here is exceptional.
Hotel is in a good location. Feels a little bit aged but itâs ok for a few nights. My only complain is the Touch N Go machines which are too high when I drove my car in, itâs difficult to tap the card for entry. Other than that, would be good to have parking at lower floors than 6a and 7 which means we have to drive up 6-7 floors. Probably good to tell us that we can also park on the 3rd floor (sign board says 6a and 7). Besides that, I would say it was a pleasant stay.

RRayTFirst of all the hotel rented out the rooms for individual operator.
So there will be different check in counter.
Upon check in, been told that the room card not functioning as they are doing upgrading, so every time u come back will need to call the house keeping to unlock the door.
Most importantly they charge RM 17 per night for car parking. So a lot of car parking outside which make the entrance a bit difficult

GGuest UserWhat I liked: quick and convenient communication with the administrator during check-in. The room offered good value for money. What I didn't like: The pool rules weren't supported by its infrastructure. There's nowhere to change into dry clothes, but you're not allowed to leave in wet ones. The floor in front of the pool gets scorching hot in the sun, yet they require you to walk barefoot, even without slippers. They even came up with a dress code for visiting.
GGuest UserThe rooms are new and well-equipped, with a pool and gym. The breakfast is more Western-style, with not a huge selection, but it's enough. The dining environment is excellent with beautiful sea views! On the downside, none of the front desk or service staff speak Chinese, and communication can be an issue if your English isn't great. For example, when we asked for more water, their 'Indian English' was completely incomprehensible! It's also about 8km from George Town, so transportation isn't very convenient. You'll also need a taxi to get to the best sunset beach.
RRealricercrabGreat hotel, the pool is awesome! You can also watch the sunrise from the rooftop in the morning. I highly recommend staying here. Plus, there's a coffee shop right downstairs so you don't have to worry about breakfast in the morning.
