Guest UserThe staff here is incredibly helpful and attentive to my needs. They offer free luggage storage and drop-off services at the airport. Even when I was about to take off, they wished me good luck with a small scarf. I highly recommend staying here. I think I’ll be staying here again when I travel to Kathmandu next time.

Guest UserI had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel during my visit to Kathmandu.
The property is beautiful and full of character, making it an excellent choice for travelers who appreciate traditional Nepali architecture and culture. The hotel has done a wonderful job preserving its heritage charm, creating a peaceful and authentic atmosphere that feels very different from a typical modern hotel.
As an eco-friendly property, the hotel does not provide air conditioning or a refrigerator in the rooms. However, I did not find this to be an issue at all, as the weather was pleasant and comfortable throughout my stay.
The staff were outstanding. Everyone was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful, always greeting guests with a smile and making me feel welcome from check-in to check-out.
Breakfast was simple and fairly standard, without a huge variety of choices, but everything was fresh and enjoyable. The yogurt, in particular, was excellent and definitely worth trying.
There was only one minor issue in my room: the ceiling fan seemed to run at the same speed regardless of the setting, so even the lowest level felt quite strong. I never mentioned it to the front desk because it was not a major inconvenience.
The biggest area for improvement would be the Wi-Fi connection. Unfortunately, the signal was quite weak and unreliable, especially for anyone who needs a stable internet connection for work or communication.
Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The beautiful traditional design, eco-conscious concept, relaxing atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality more than made up for the small inconveniences. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic Nepali experience in

KISMATHThe hotel location is excellent, fantastic breakfast, staff cooperation everywhere was excellent.
This hotel is not a four star hotel according to the Nepal hospitality...it clearly shows it's a three star hotel and all the facilities are related to three star or below.
The rooms are small,if staying with a couple or with a girlfriend is fine but if it's staying with two individuals it is very difficult moving and keeping the baggage, and other things.
The windows are fixed and can't open.
I will say again that the staff were fantastic.

After several trips to Nepal, I finally decided to treat myself with a stay at the famous Kathmandu Guest House. So glad I did. So much peace, grace, charm and beauty .. and of course, the history!

来人间走一回Highly recommended! This place is perfect for those who appreciate the history and culture of Kathmandu. You can walk to Durbar Square, and there's so much to see along the way – it's a very pleasant stroll. Just 50 meters down the street, you'll find several modern restaurants offering Chinese, Korean, Western, and vegetarian options. The hotel's own restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though be warned, the food can be quite strong-flavored and salty, so you might want to ask the kitchen to reduce the salt. The staff are all very polite and attentive, always looking out for your needs. The hotel manager is very welcoming and enjoys chatting with guests. When you book a taxi at the front desk, you only pay the fare, with no extra charges. The hotel has just been renovated and is very clean.

Guest UserLakhey Hotel is the best hotel in Kathmandu! The staff are super friendly, check-in is very easy, and they always help me get a taxi. They offered a welcome drink, which was lovely. The boss speaks excellent Chinese and even arranged a trek for me—very satisfying! Hot water is great, breakfast is delicious, and their Sichuan restaurant has amazing food (must try!). After my EBC trek, I stayed here again because I missed Chinese food. Location is nice, rooms are big—I stayed in room 1108 with a beautiful Kathmandu city view. Highly recommend to everyone. Very satisfied with Lakhey Hotel service. Best of luck to the team—hope to see you again!”**

A great hotel in the heart of the Thamel district. Both the rooms and common areas are decorated in a national style, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The panoramic restaurant on the 7th floor is fantastic – delicious food with a diverse breakfast buffet and an extensive menu for other meals, including both local and European dishes. The hotel also has a very good spa, though it doesn't operate late into the evening. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable.
Highly recommend.

Guest UserThe hotel is located about a 10-15 minute walk from Thamel, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling city center of Kathmandu. Its beautifully landscaped garden is a particular highlight. A minor drawback is the heavy traffic on the road to central Thamel, making the walk quite tiring. However, even if you don't venture into Thamel, the hotel's F&B offers relatively reasonable prices for the quality, and dining in the garden's outdoor seating area was a particularly impressive experience. It was a shame that the fitness center was under renovation and unavailable. The cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms were exceptional, even by developed country standards. Overall, I would rate this as a very good hotel.
