⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Comfort and Service at an Amazing Value! I had an outstanding stay at Best Western Plus The Ivy Wall Hotel in Puerto Princesa. From check-in to check-out, the staff provided excellent customer service — always warm, attentive, and eager to help with a smile. They truly made me feel welcome and valued throughout my stay. The room was immaculate, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was soft and cozy, the linens fresh, and everything—from the bathroom to the minibar—was spotless. I also appreciated how quiet and relaxing the atmosphere was, perfect for unwinding after exploring the beautiful sights of Palawan. One of the highlights of my stay was the morning breakfast buffet. It offered a great variety of local and international dishes, all freshly prepared and delicious. From tropical fruits and made-to-order eggs to Filipino favorites and good coffee, it was the perfect way to start each day. The dining staff were equally wonderful—friendly, efficient, and attentive. Considering the high level of comfort, cleanliness, and service, the affordability of this hotel is truly impressive. You get a 5-star experience at a very reasonable price, making it one of the best values in Puerto Princesa. I highly recommend Best Western Plus The Ivy Wall Hotel to anyone visiting Palawan. Whether for business or leisure, it’s the perfect mix of luxury, convenience, and Filipino hospitality. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Wonderful hotel!!! The service, cleanliness, food, and activities were all top-notch! The hotel offers lovely complimentary touches like free lemon tea in the fridge, a bag, a scarf, and local coffee. In the evenings, they bring pastries to your room. The coconut balls are absolutely amazing! During the day, there are free snacks and refreshing drinks. There's also a happy hour – buy one cocktail, get one free. We experienced the dinner buffet, which was excellent! You can even try their famous suckling pig. Breakfast offers something for every taste! There's also a restaurant on the second floor with incredibly large and delicious dishes. The hotel's massage service was also great; you can choose between a 1-hour or 1.5-hour session. They offer free bicycles and boats. Definitely take a boat ride; you might spot sea urchins, starfish, and small fish. You can use the bikes to explore the town. The gym is excellent, with everything you need, plus air conditioning, towels, and water! The pool is clean, and the water temperature is very comfortable. Archery is also free. Swimming from the shore in the sea can be a bit challenging as it's very shallow, but you can take a boat out to deeper water for a swim. And the sunrises here are incredibly beautiful! If you want to visit the underground river or other attractions, you can arrange a tour and rent a car at reception. It might be more expensive than in town, but you save a lot of time. We rented a car and drove to the beach ourselves. It was an hour's scenic drive, and you're there. They even provided us with a bag of beach towels for the trip. During our 4-day stay, we never felt any discomfort; everything here is designed for guests. The staff are the most smiling and responsive! We will definitely return to this hotel chain again!!! Thank you!

I booked a room with a balcony on Trip.com, but the room I was shown was a single window room with no balcony. The staff explained that there were various types of rooms available. I wasn't satisfied, so I spoke to them and they changed my room to one with a balcony, although it took some time. The staff were very friendly.

The staff were by far the best thing about this place! They were incredibly friendly and helpful. The place itself was good and the room was nice and clean but the bed was a little small and my husband is quite tall. There was a decent little swimming pool downstairs. We were only there for one night so didn’t really explore the local area but booked the firefly tour through the hotel which was a lovely little excursion. The breakfast was good and there were some decent veggie options on the standard menu!

Very clean and modern Hotel, nice rooftop pool. The only thing I would complain about is the coffee at the breakfast. The taste is very watery and not strong as it should be. Also the cinnamon roll I bought from the restaurant was not fresh.

Really nice resort only 10min away from the port by Tuc Tuc. The room very clean and with all the essentials for the staying. My room wasn’t exactly view on the pool as expected so I would have to say a little bit overpriced. Nice breakfast. They arranged me an half day tour of the main spots in Coron and they were really flexible. The only thing that often happens to me travelling solo is that at pool bar for lunch I asked half portion of a serving because it was meant to be for 2/3 people (in the Philippines they often have family sharing portions) but they said it wasn’t possible that they could serve me half portion but the price would’ve been the same and I found that annoying. Other than that they offer shuttle bus to the airport and everything else was as good as in the pictures!

The hotel was a bit far from town but always had tuktuks outside available to take you in. The pool was picturesque but the water a bit dirty as it's not a filter system. Still really fun to hang out by the pool! They had a Christmas Eve feast including a lechon roast and all of the food was amazing. The pool bar is cool, but they had run out of a lot of items during the Christmas holidays. They also had no scooters or motorbikes available to rent (again, holidays). I'd recommend!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before heading to El Nido. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The view from the pool, overlooking Honda Bay, is simply breathtaking. The hotel offers complimentary airport transfers and shuttle service to/from Robinson's Mall. You can also conveniently book a minivan to El Nido directly through them. In my opinion, the breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Options included scrambled eggs/omelets, cereal, bread, jams, and butter. There was very little fruit and only one salad. The rice, soups, and other dishes weren't particularly appealing to a European palate (the meat and fish were too overcooked). However, the à la carte menu for dinner and lunch (which is paid) was, on the contrary, very delicious. The hotel itself is quite old. The furniture in the rooms shows its age. There was also a slight musty smell, although the cleanliness was maintained. The staff were incredibly pleasant and responsive. Overall, the hotel is suitable for 1-2 nights, but don't rely too heavily on the photos.

We chose this place by reviews and for its location. When we arrived we had to sign an agreement with the property rules which are in abundance: from “no outside food or drinks at the property” to fines for stained towels and sheets. Though there are “shhh” signs everywhere I woke up both mornings of our stay because someone was walking and talking loudly right outside our door. The room is really small close to tiny, there’s no fridge (ok, that’s the type of room without one), the safe didn’t work but the friendly and helpful staff kindly stored our valuables in theirs. The place is beautifully located and the food is ok.

We had an amazing stay. Magical place. Everyone is super friendly. Native cabin was amazing feeling. I wish they would have made the ”safe” water area bigger, but you can swim outside also, no problem, but you have to constantly look where you place your feets.

Our stay in Piece of Lio was fantastic, relaxing, away from the bustling of El Nido centre. All staffs that we interacted with have been professional and all go above and beyond to make sure that we were okay. The room was equipped with latest mod and con , including a Japanese toilet. The free shuttle service to centre was great touch since the hotel is located 8km from the centre. We really did enjoy our stay here and definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to relax away from it all, just being there felt therapeutic.

We stayed for a night at this hidden villa, and it felt like a true home away from home. The staff were incredibly kind and respectful, providing excellent service that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was a highlight—absolutely delicious, with a healthy breakfast offered in the morning. You can even request a floating breakfast, which added a special touch to the experience. While the villa is tucked away down a short gravel road, the peaceful and private setting made it worth the effort. The villa is kid-friendly, but families should be cautious around the tiled swimming pool area. There’s no TV, so if you’re traveling with children, make sure their devices are charged. Fortunately, the Wi-Fi is strong and reliable. Overall, it was a lovely, relaxing stay with amazing food and warm hospitality. We highly recommend this villa for a cozy and memorable getaway.

I stayed here for two nights over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and had a genuinely lovely stay. The rooms are large and spacious, with balconies, and it was refreshing that the minibar prices didn’t feel extortionate. The hotel is only a 5–10 minute tricycle ride into town and the free airport shuttle was extremely convenient. The staff were wonderful and full of Christmas cheer, which really added to the experience. Although I didn’t eat at the restaurants as I already had plans, they looked great. I also loved the jetty — it was something a little different and a really nice feature. Overall, a great stay and I would happily return.

Matinloc is a truly wonderful place. We had a great time there. It's peaceful, private, and incredibly beautiful! The people there are very friendly and welcoming. Every morning, a beautiful sunrise appears in front of the resort. The Filipino cuisine was delicious! If you're looking for a place with more privacy and excellent service, this is the resort for you. Congratulations to the entire Matinloc team.

We had an amazing stay at Sheraton Palawan! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive, especially the front office team who made us feel right at home. Their smiles and professionalism truly set the tone for our vacation. A very special mention goes to Hassanul Caye from the restaurant — he went above and beyond in accommodating our requests and made every dining experience extra memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options that kept us looking forward to every meal. The pool is impressively huge and perfect for both relaxation and fun, while the updated amenities gave us that modern yet cozy feel we were looking for. On top of it all, the breathtaking mountain view added such a serene and refreshing touch to our stay. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. Sheraton Palawan is truly a place where hospitality meets comfort, and we can’t wait to come back again soon!

Filipino hospitality is second to none. The people are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. So what makes the staff at the Funny Lion so special. Well, they simply go that extra mile. On our first morning, we almost missed breakfast, but fortunately the staff noticed we hadn’t been in and gave us a call to remind us the breakfast room would be closing soon. When they heard we had an early morning tour the next day, they checked we were OK for breakfast, they reminded us to pick up some beach towels (we had forgotten) and checked we had everything we needed. The hotel itself is also nice with two restaurants and a rooftop bar. The main restaurant does a buffet on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There’s a fair range of food, but I thought there could have been a few more Filipino dishes to try. The Mexican restaurant was also OK. The starters were very tasty especially the ceviche type dishes. The mains weren’t bad but it would have been even better had the dishes been a bit more varied. The rooftop bar was probably my favourite of the three. You can lay in one of the two the mini jacuzzi-type pools and sip a cocktail while watching the sun set. It’s worth taking advantage of their happy hour (5-7pm) where they do a BOGOF on their signature cocktails (very good) or 4 beers for the price of 3. Their pizzas in the bar are pretty decent too. They are individual pizzas so if you’re hungry one might not be enough. As for the room, it was OK. I think we should have paid a little more and gone for a better room, but it was fine. It was pretty standard with a mini-bar, TV , air-con and safe. The nice thing was the freshly cooked biscuits they would leave us every day. Those, the lovely welcome and departure gifts plus the truly excellent service makes the Funny Lion a hotel I would most definitely recommend.
