LLinxiqinmugongCons: The duvet in the room was quite thin, making it a bit chilly at night. It's also located a bit far from the city center. Pros: On the positive side, it offers great value for money. The surroundings were clean and well-maintained, and the service was exceptionally friendly and attentive.

GGuest UserThis place is excellent if you’re a stressed out business traveler, looking for a good rate, and if you’re willing to manage your own transportation from the airport and back, but the amenities after a long late night arrival waking up the next day, sitting in the hot tub having a swim in the pool and a steam and a sauna along with an icy cold shower afterwards just recharges you after a long business trip, especially if you international like me I wouldn’t necessarily call it family friendly, but it’s definitely good for entrepreneur business travel if you can get a good rate otherwise there are other hotels out there if you can’t get a good rate. The rooms are not specifically special compared to the competition, but it’s an a quieter area and the fitness and aquatic amenities are what makes the difference for me as I have back problems and after a long international flight all I wanna do is get in the hot tub or take a steam or sauna. I’m needing an airport shuttle. I would not recommend this hotel and if you aren’t willing to risk having to pay a premium for a car service or Uber then do not book here. I wish I could stay at this hotel long enough to enjoy all of their amenities as they are really good, but as breakfast is not included, it can be a pricey for what you get when you compare it to other hotels in the area and hotels closer to the airport. Yet as long as I can get a good rate on this hotel, I will keep going back as I frequently travel international for work and just having the peace of the secluded area and the steam room and sauna make it a huge selling feature for me as they really assist my rejuvenation after a long day or more of travel.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, next to Millennium Park, and the rooms facing the park have a wide view. There is a supermarket and a restaurant downstairs, which is quite convenient. The room is average, large in size, but the facilities are relatively old. However, the hotel has no swimming pool, only a gym, and no breakfast restaurant. These two points are deducted, which also surprised me a little, thinking that these two items should be standard for luxury hotels. I booked a room with breakfast, because there is no restaurant, and I can only eat by delivering the meal to the room. But the hotel breakfast rules are unreasonable. Although there is a breakfast limit of 31 dollars per person per day (corresponding to the breakfast set of 30-31 dollars on the menu). But this limit does not include the delivery fee, service fee, and tax. It means that you have to pay 30 dollars out of your pocket to have a normal breakfast. When checking out, after reporting the unreasonable policy to the hotel, the hotel promised to waive this part of the fee in the bill, but the bill received after arriving at the airport showed that the full breakfast fee was charged (including the price of the set itself), nearly 100 dollars per day. Finally, through the continuous communication between Ctrip and the agent, this part of the fee was refunded. The result is good, but the process is tortuous.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a typical airport hotel, had a very helpful shuttle driver (Ray) and the other staff interacted with were very friendly and helpful.  Located just offsite from the airport, opposite a shopping mall and had a small selection of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.  Room was clean and had everything needed. Bathroom had good water pressure and provided nice toiletries.  This was a one-night stay prior to flying home from O'Hare and met all needs.

MMianqiuweibaThe hotel is located in the Loop area, with a relatively high safety factor. The location is excellent, close to the Chicago River, and it is very convenient for boat trips. It is very convenient to go to various attractions, whether it is the Magnificent Mile or Millennium Park and the Chicago Art Museum, you can walk there. The hotel service is OK, and they do not actively provide toiletries, but you can ask the front desk to provide them. I need to remind you: when choosing a room, it is recommended to choose a room without breakfast. The so-called breakfast is just a $20 coupon for you to go to the restaurant on the first floor, but you can't have a satisfactory breakfast for $20, and you need to tip and pay taxes. The key is: the difference between breakfast and no breakfast is almost enough to book a room without breakfast. The explanation given by the hotel is: the price with breakfast allows customers to cancel the reservation at any time a few hours before check-in, which only gives you the right to cancel the reservation. This is the only unpleasant point of the stay. I stayed for 5 nights and spent nearly 6,000 yuan to buy this breakfast. Although the solution provided by Ctrip is a drop in the bucket, it is more important to be in a good mood when you go out, so I just give up. I hope Ctrip can clearly state the terms and conditions in the product details in the future, and I also hope that the comments can help everyone~

GGuest UserI was to pay 117 at check in per room. Hotel made me par 285 for something I didn’t have time to use which was tickets to attractions and that fee included a fee for checking out. ..49 a room for coupons snd 65 per room check out fee. Our car was too tall for the 85.00 a night parking but the garage at the corner only charged 58.00 a night. I wouldn’t recommend driving downtown Chicago unless you like being stressed out. I’m asking trip.com to reimburse the difference between the 117 and 185.

GGuest UserWe booked a room that unfortunately was for the wrong dates through a third party. We were told by the third party that they would refund us but that the hotel had to release our reservation. We called them immediately after realizing the dates were wrong which was within an hour. The reservation was for two days from then. The hotel said they would not cancel it. They charged us almost $600 for a room we did not stay in and called in advance to explain our situation. They also did not allow for us to change the days to the days we were actually looking for. While the hotel is lovely and the staff was pleasant even delivering the bad news I won’t be looking to book with them again.

GGuest UserI made a mistake with my reservation but the staff was so kind to help me solve the problem. the hotel itself is a little outdated, but it is a good stay near the airport. the airport shuttle bus is very punctual, and the location is very nearby the airport. I also tried dining at Gibson’s steakhouse, which is a steakhouse within the hotel premise , and it was full with locals and conference visitors. Taste was okay.

GGuest UserThe place is safer, there are no homeless people, there are big supermarkets, Chinese and Western restaurants nearby, it is more convenient, close to Northwestern University. The room is quiet, hygienic, good service, simple breakfast, air conditioning switch is not easy to find (in the air conditioning cover, not easy to open), free parking.

GGuest UserUpon check in, I was assigned a room & given keys. We opened the door only to find someone else was already occupying the room. Imagine the fear of the person in that room as we had keys that opened their room door. We had to bring all of our luggage back down to the front desk to get a new room assigned. I booked a king room but was given a room with double beds. When I contacted the front desk, the lady at the front desk was unprofessional and made no effort to address the issue. She told me the hotel is sold out of king rooms and for me to contact Trip.com because Trip.com is the one who booked a double room. The representative from Trip.com was very professional and apologetic and made attempts to rectify the situation. However the hotel did not answer the calls from Trip.com. The room we were assigned was ok. But the ac/heater unit in the room was full of dust. The pillow cases appeared clean but smelled as if it had not been changed between guests. I’ve stayed at numerous Hilton properties and am usually quite pleased. But we were quite disappointed with this Doubletree property.
