DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town - Upper Eastside
4.4/567 Reviews
Salt River
Upgraded to a Loft suite. Excellent (once the air conditioner unit was explained). Staff great. Housekeeping a bit too eager. On site restaurant Liberty's seems slow and disorganized, even for South Africa and especially for a Hilton's. Free shuttle to V&A Waterfront every two hours. Walking distance to the Old Biscuit Mill (a Saturday morning must-do). Regular and reliable taxi service around Cape Town at reasonable rates, for drop off and pickup. Airport shuttle. Neighborhood was very safe Don't pre-book tours before you get here; Yasir and his team will take good care of you.
Hotel Verde Cape Town Airport

An absolutely wonderful hotel. We were stranded at Hotel Verde due to the Lufthansa strike. We ended up staying for 4 days. I still can not get over how nice this hotel was. The staff were friendly and the hotel garden is a miniature version of Kirstenbosch. You can only find a place like this in Cape Town, I highly recommend it.
Point Break Luxury Apartments

I stayed at the aparthotel for the second time and found its location convenient and my stay comfortable. However, the building alarm repeatedly disturbed my sleep during the early hours of the morning, and the pillows were not comfortable, making my stay less pleasant this time. If these issues are fixed, I would definitely come back to stay again.
Cape Town Lodge Hotel

City Bowl
Having travelled extensively and stayed in numerous hotels worldwide, I can confidently state that my recent experience was the worst ever. Despite seeing several negative reviews about their service, I thought they were just occasional lapses. However, I soon discovered that the hotel had a persistent service problem. I had a problem with my reservation and spent two days trying to resolve it, but no one cared. To make matters worse, I was charged ten times the amount I had originally paid for the same room (i.e., $300 instead of $30) without any reasonable explanation. When I questioned this, the staff merely shrugged it off, citing fluctuating prices as the reason. The lady in charge of reservations was extremely rude and disrespectful throughout the ordeal. In addition to the issues with my reservation and the exorbitant charges, the air conditioner was not working properly and made a lot of noise. Furthermore, the fridge in my room made a huge noise, which disturbed my sleep at 2 am (I recorded a video as proof). Moreover, the noise levels in the dormitory were unacceptable all the night! making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. In short, I urge anyone considering staying at this hotel to think twice and look for other options.

The Residences at Crystal Towers

Milnerton
The apartment is spacious, clean and luxurious. Lovvvvvve the bathrooms. I had a very relaxing stay at the Residences at Crystal Hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was refreshing and had a wide selection of foods. The location is convenient, close to Canal Walk which we walked to often to buy whatever we needed to make our stay more enjoyable and visiting Hillsong Church opposite the road was an amazing experience.
The Caledon Hotel and Spa
3.4/542 Reviews
We arrived at the Caledon Spa Hotel on a Sunday afternoon just after 14H10 for a 3 night get away with friends. Check-in, according to all our paperwork, was available as of 14H00 but this was unfortunately not the case (as the rooms were still being cleaned) and we were finally only allocated our rooms at 15H20 which was an irritation as we had to sit in the lounge with all our luggage up to that point (this while we were also told that the hotel was not full). I must point out that the staff in question were very polite and apologised profusely for the delay in the availability of the room but still, if you advertise a check in time then stick to it as we planned our timetable accordingly. The hotel lounge in which we sat has a bar attached which was open but only for drinks ordered by patrons eating Sunday lunch in the hotel restaurant. As such, we had to walk through to the ****** to purchase a couple of bottled waters which we found rather annoying. We were advise later that the bar in question is only open on Thursday through to Saturday so at no time during our stay (Sunday afternoon to Wednesday morning) could we relax in the hotel lounge or sit on the outside veranda and order a drink from the bar! It seems that the only full time bar is in the ****** area but it is located in the main entrance into the ****** and basically in the middle of nowhere with no lounge chairs etc on which to sit, only a handful of barstools placed around the counter itself, the staff however were very friendly indeed. We were allocated room 106 which was a ground floor room close to reception. The room was acceptable but a bit tired in that there were scuff marks on the furniture, some of the curtain rail clips were broken and the one lampshade was literally falling apart, basically the room was in need of some TLC. There is some maintenance ongoing on the outside of the hotel so hopefully it will also extend indoors shortly. I must point out that the room and bedding was spotlessly clean and the queen size bed and pillows one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on in any hotel. There was also a bar fridge, coffee / tea station with kettle and a large safe in the room which proved very handy indeed. Bizarrely there was no information sheet in the room advising of even the number to press for the hotel reception and nor was there any explanation as to which channels were available on the included satellite TV package so it was all a bit hit and miss. The bathroom has a shower over the bath arrangement with a narrowish bath so showering even for a lean person cannot be undertaken without care. A plastic antislip mat is, however, provided for you to stand on in the bath whilst showering which did help. For some reason the hotel only provides a small bottle of shower gel and also a small soap in each bathroom which does not see you through if there are two people who shower twice per day. As such, we had to request additional soap from the gentleman w
The Bay Hotel

Camps Bay
Our experience at this hotel went above and beyond our wildest expectations! The hotel's exquisite location grants you a balcony view of the ocean and the majestic Table Mountain as a backdrop. The level of service we received was truly exceptional, leaving us thoroughly impressed. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the range of amenities provided was more than generous. The rooms themselves strike a perfect balance between spaciousness and coziness, creating a truly inviting atmosphere. A noteworthy feature that sets this hotel apart is the complimentary mini bar, offering a variety of snacks and drinks – a rare find. What's even more remarkable is that these snacks are not only delicious but also cater to vegan and gluten-free preferences. Without a doubt, we are already making plans to return to this outstanding establishment in the future.
Whale Rock Luxury Lodge

Westcliff
Had a splendid 2 night stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The staff made us feel so welcome. They are exceptionally polite and well informed on the surrounding area. We were provided with a map full of helpful suggestions, and a thorough introduction to the lodge and all it's facilities upon check-in. The lodge is located right next to Hermanus New Harbour and a few steps from the cliff path, which is well worth the walk. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. It opens onto a beautiful, well maintained garden area but a few steps from the pool. Breakfast was fantastic (reccommend the Full English!), and a lovely selection of breads, cereals, fruits, cold meats, yogurts etc at the buffet. Truly, no complaints. Would absolutely stay again.
French Lodge International

This was a last minute booking, but was so impressed. Easy to find along the Garden Route and nestled in a quiet suburb. Close proximity to a small shopping centre to stock up on ice or braai items. Speedy check in by Fortune, he was thorough and explained how the flood lights work and we appreciate the lodge tour. Slept peacefully and the water was hot- loved the spa bath tub. Loved the breakfast (three options available), huge portions and so delicious! We wish we had stayed longer- we were on tour and George was our stopover along the Garden Route. There are braai facilities, basic cutlery, coffee station along with a fridge and microwave oven in the room. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
