was a superb choice to stay here, the location is 10 mins via car ride from the kun ming railway station and most importantly the team is very professional yet warm in managing your experience. was given a free upgrade from my original room that was smaller, this room is huge! really ideal for couples / friends / family. The team would add you on wechat and even though I left my room on do not disturb, they checked in if i need anything like water refill. Plenty of food options for dinner / road side stalls at night and a nearby supermarket round the corner as well as 7-11. The washroom is smaller so if you are particular of the size of the washroom then book bigger rooms with bigger washrooms.

We stayed in attic room for a night, the view is fantastic especially during sunset. This homestay located up the hill but not too far from downtown (5mins walk). What I love most about this place is the hospitality and friendliness of the owner (Nana) and a man (I assume her husband). They were very helpful and generous even though they cannot speak English but we could communicate through translation app.

A dorm bed was the only option left when I booked. The dorm was super clean and spacious, fresh new, but the bed was hard as the mattrass is thin and placed on wooden board. If you are tired after the hike, you will sleep well. Best view from the bar and terrace ever.

Pros: bed and shower room were clean, jasmine tea was the best that I have tasted, scent of the shower cream and shampoo made me wanted to keep them for myself, the location was good ,breakfast has more variety than the others. Cons: no closet to hang my clothes or tower Conclusion: I was really satisfied and enjoyed the stay and would surely recommend it to all of my friends.

Traveled and used hotels in many places. But I've never been as impressed as I was at ibis Kunming Nanping Pedestrian Street. The receptionist who took care of me on the afternoon of December 11th took very good care of me. I walked up to the room and inquired about it myself. Does the room smell? Is it comfortable to stay? We just gave a little feedback and the staff offered to change rooms immediately. Make every service easy. The welcome fruit was wonderful.

The staff here are really very nice! We arrived at the hotel at almost 10pm as we were travelling in from Dali, and after checking us in, they brought us to try the Yak Butter Tea (i hope i got it correct) even though it was so late. They were also nice enough to help us carry our heavy luggages to our room, as there's no lift. While the room we booked stated ”Mountain View”, the room we got faced the road outside with definitely no mountain view. So we enquired and was told that all rooms had no moutain view, and had to go to the rooftop (5th floor) to experience it. Nonethless, the view at the rooftop is lovely! And there's several of the staff's pets (i'm guessing) roaming around the rooftop area :) The room itself was huge, beds were huge and comfy as well. There's a voice assistant system in the room as well called ”Xiaobao”. But i guess as we were foreigners and perhaps our accents were different, we could not utilise Xiaobao, which was quite hilarious but thank goodness there's still manual controls in the room. For any housekeeping requests or questions, it's through wechat which was extremely convenient and they are very responsive even in the wee hours of the morning. There's a few smaller convenience stores around the hotel, and saw some bars but sadly did not have enough time to explore. This hotel is not situated at the main road, but it's just a short 3 min walk till there as some of the bigger vehicles may not be able to enter the small lane where the hotel is at (8-9 seater is still possible). Will definitely come and stay here again if I'm ever back in the area!

Upon arrival, I was a bit unsure of how to navigate to the hotel, but the staff went above and beyond by coming out to fetch me—such a nice gesture! I had a parcel delivered to the hotel before my arrival, and though one of them didn’t arrive on time, the staff was very helpful and even contacted the delivery person on my behalf. The room was nice and clean, just as expected. However, there was a slight cigarette smell in the toilet, which I believe was due to the connected ventilation with the neighboring room. This hotel is part of the same chain where we stayed in Dali, and it offers the same 118 heartwarming services that we loved. We only stayed for one night this time, but we'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

tea horse guest house is one of the main check points along the trek, and has a viewing deck (with bar) where you can get a cup of coffee and enjoy the views of the mountain. the location is superb, and is the perfect spot to stop at if you are doing a 2D1N hike. sit outside of your room and look at the stars at night. as the area is being developed to accommodate more tourist, you’d notice lots of construction going on… amenities are super basic, soap shampoo is provided in sachets and the en-suite rooms have wet toilets (open shower and toilet without partitions). food here is basic, nothing to shout about. my stir fried vegetables came swimming in oil… which i learnt is just how the people in this area cook their food. you can scribble your signature on the walls floors chairs furniture etc as a momento… but the scribbling was too overwhelming for my liking. consider this location for the heritage (being the middle point of the entire tea horse route)… and for the views. even the shared toilets have a view!

Room is clean and spacious to open up 2 big luggages. Bathroom of our original room has some broken floor tiles and a detached shower head from its socket, we thought these are potential hazards. Staff apologized and was prompt in switching us to another room. Overall, recommended!

Spacious, very clean, soft towels, conveniently located near kunming train station (3 minutes walk). Friendly helpful staff. Not many breakfast choices though. Overall very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

The location of the hotel is very convenient near the underground train station and the market. There are some food shop near by. The hotel very clean and meet the standard. There is a breakfast room and washing machine on the 2nd floor. Staff could not speak english but we use the translator it's not a problem.

The hotel was new. The room looked spacious and clean. Although there was no breakfast provided, there were nice food options nearby within minutes and walk. However, Hotel did never inform where to wait for the airport pickup shuttle bus during the entire booking, which is very inconvenient for international travellers. Although we added 华顾酒店前台1 as friend on WeChat and wanted to check where to wait for airport pick-up shuttle bus, we didn't get any reply. In the end, we had to make international call at the airport to the hotel to get such info.

Location was great: Within Lijiang Ancient City and just a 5-min walk to the main road. Stayed during winter season and was glad to know that hot water was consistent. Room was cleaned up daily in the 4 days we stayed there to explore Lijiang and the surrounding areas. Breakfast provided was hearty with a good variety. Reception area is also conveniently located beside a cafe so you can also enjoy a cuppa over breakfast. Shoutout to the staff who were friendly and responded to our queries in a timely manner. They also helped to link us up to a local tour agency that helped us out with a Jade Dragon Snow Mountain day-trip which we thoroughly enjoyed. This was despite us not having a local Chinese number and only having WeChat as the only communication tool. All in all, really enjoyed our stay here at Songzhuju (松竹居) and will recommend it to my friends and family who are looking to explore Lijiang.

Very convenient location about a 1-minute walk from Sifang Square. The main Wuyi Street is a short walk north, and the other big street Qiyi is a short walk south. Room was clean and the staff very helpful. No English is spoken, but I speak some Chinese and the staff can add you on wechat to communicate and share locations. The staff upgraded me, and the room was nice, clean and quiet—despite the very central location. Location could be a bit hard to find the first time, but the Trip.com app opened up Baidu maps for me and led me straight to one of the hotel entrances, though it wasn’t the main one (was just 10m west of the main one). I called the number and the staff guy came right over, so no problem. Other reviewers also say the staff can come guide you over, so you could also try that.

Stayed here 2 times… Best feature - in the ancient town but near the entrance. So don’t need to drag your luggage through the cobblestone streets. Also quieter at night. Near the South Gate. Restaurant opposite the homestay is awesome! Had a 3 person room the first time, big screen Projector as TV. When we return to stay the 2nd time, messed up our bookings where there wasn’t enough beds…decided to stay in a 2 bed room as we are only staying for the night. Bit of a squeeze. Haha.

We really enjoyed our stay here 😊😊 From when we first check in, the lady and the male receptionist help with both our heavy luggages to the 3rd floor. They are so strong!! When we check out early in the morning, the guy also helped carry our luggages all the way down. Thanks for that. So what can I say... The room - it huge!!! It has everything you need in this room, and I mean everything. We loved the filter water with both hot and cold. Make it so much easier and convenient. They also provide oxygen and humidifier if you ever need it. Then there is the smart toilet, which is so nice and also has auto flush. The water pressure is good and good heating too. Lastly, not to mention the little washing machine, which comes in handy!! Please note, the cleaning lady only do basic top up if you are still staying in the room. But don't be afraid to ask them if you need them to do a full clean. Location - it less than 5 mins walk to the old town, so very convenient. This is great as it is not inside the old town which means car cannot drive in and will be a problem carrying luggages in the old town. Service - excellent. From the people that greet you to the cleaning lady, they are all very friendly and helpful. Also receive a leaving gift when we check out. Overall, I would recommend anyone wanting to stay in this hotel!

We are very happy with our stay at Lijiang Anly Private Soup Hotel. It is located at the heart of the Old City and is surrounded by various small shops with local goods. The rooms are clean and cosy. The terrace gives fantastic panoramic view to the Old City of Lijiang. Breakfast is served from 8 to 10, and it is good. We are especially thankful to the hotel stuff, because they helped us with everything. They met us at the airport, helped us to organize the trip to the mountains and to rent a car. We highly recommend the hotel!

Innkeeper Liu and wife are very good, hospitable, helpful and have fast response. The inn provided a list of recommended restaurants nearby. The Inn is 1 year old and getting better with time. Good location inside Dali old city 5 min walk from the east gate, and 10min by motorised tricycle to Erhai. There are no stairs in this inn. The family room bathroom is a little awkward but the other room bathrooms are very modern and clean. The air-conditioning, bed linen and beds are good. There is a good amount of glazing but no openable windows so we kept the door open whenever we were in. The inn is homey and safe. The neighbours sing karaoke but this is part of the China experience, as are the neon lights across the street. Enjoy that along with the beautiful views of the mountain from your room.

Next to Erhai Lake in Dali, the hotel room I stayed in was on the 29th floor of the elevator apartment. The hotel decoration was very warm, the boss was very warm, and the service was thoughtful and considerate. There was a road construction at the main road, hence accessing the homestay was not so convenient. Luckily it was near another intersection so didn't pose a huge problem. The staffs were very friendly and super helpful in helohng us to check in, carrying our luggages to our rooms. There are many good restaurants very nearby and lots of coffee places too. The water pressure in the bathroom is weak and the soundproofing is not great. Hope they can improve on that. Otherwise, we had a good stay.

Quiet alley within the Dali Ancient City. The hotel was thoughtful to soundproof their door and windows. Also provided disposable ear plugs in the room. The decoration of the hotel is very cosy and the room was simple and comfortable. Breakfast consist of a set of local cuisine that is healthy and nutritious. If you are looking to stay within the Dali Ancient City, you may consider yuntang.

Great location, walking distance to ancient town, Erhai lake is 5km away where you can take taxi there quickly. Beautiful and perfurmed garden, no elevator but the staff there will help you to carry luggage. Staff is helpful in booking car to your next destination. Large room with nice decoration, relaxing atmosphere.

I would honestly stay in this hotel for its service. The staffs and bosses there are very welcoming and would answer any and every question I have thrown at them. They have helped me to book tickets to the surrounding attraction and helped me with transportation there, making commutation a lot easier in such a big place. Additionally, the view from the rooftop is impeccable as the location itself is quite near to the mountainous area providing a breath taking view of the clear sky and mountain. This is an absolutely fantastic hotel. It's in a terrific and quiet location, just a short walk to the ancient city. The room was really comfortable, exceptionally clean, and very modern. The staff don't speak English, and I don't speak Chinese, but they were all very helpful via translate apps, the most friendly and helpful guys of any of the hotels I've stayed in so far in China. It was a bonus to have access to a washer/dryer on the rooftop. They kindly gave me a lovely gift when I was leaving and refunded some money I'd forgotten about. Highly recommended as it will be hard to find anywhere this good elsewhere in China.
