This is a long-established hotel, very close to Kyoto Station, the city's main transportation hub. The rooms are spacious with large windows that let in plenty of light. For breakfast, you have a choice of two restaurants: one is a rotating restaurant on a high floor with great views, offering a set menu. The other is a buffet on the first floor with a very rich selection. The downsides are the lack of laundry facilities, the bathroom isn't wet/dry separated, and the room lighting is a bit dim.

The room was very clean, and they provided two bottles of water every day. The staff were all very polite. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options. The only downside was having to queue for breakfast a few times, which I'd never experienced before. The location is very convenient, close to the train station.

This was my third stay here, and I'm already quite familiar with the place, feeling completely at home. Every day, I'd head out for some coffee or matcha, then come back for another drink. In the evenings, the lobby was quiet enough for me to work on emails. The location is super convenient with plenty of supermarkets nearby. KOMEDA is right across the street, and there are tons of restaurants in the Sannjo-kai area, plus many cafes. The room size was sufficient, clean, and well-equipped. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Kyoto!

The room is quite spacious, and the transportation is very convenient, with a subway station not far away. The most convenient part is the hotel's shuttle bus, which departs for Kyoto Station at 55 minutes past the hour, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. It returns from Kyoto Station at 25 minutes past the hour. The driver was very steady and polite. The breakfast was especially good; the hotel offers a wide variety, including Wagyu beef, grilled salmon, and both rice porridge and Western-style buffet options. The fruit was fresh every day, with sweet strawberries and pineapples. The downside is that the laundry room was under renovation when I visited, so self-service laundry wasn't available. Also, I noticed a lingering smell of renovation, perhaps because the room hasn't been occupied much, leading to less ventilation. The surrounding environment is very quiet.

The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of food and entertainment downstairs. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kyoto. The only minor issue was that the bathroom door lock was broken, but we didn't bother contacting customer service as it wasn't a big deal.

When booking a hotel in Japan, being close to a transportation hub is definitely the top priority. Hotel Alla is just a 5-6 minute walk from JR Kyoto Station, where all the train lines and bus stops to various attractions are concentrated. The hotel service is very thoughtful; early arrivals can store their luggage at the hotel, and upon returning from sightseeing, not only is the room ready, but the luggage has also been placed inside. The room facilities are cozy, small but complete, and toiletries can be picked up in the lobby. Breakfast is quite similar to Chinese food, with congee available. I highly recommend this hotel for trips to Kyoto.

Extremely satisfied! The location is super convenient, it only takes a 30-minute walk to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and the scenery along the way is beautiful. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I would choose this hotel again next time.

The hotel is less than 2 minutes from the exit, making its location excellent for getting anywhere. The rooms are very clean, and the breakfast is delicious. The only downside is that the ventilation fan is quite noisy at night, which might affect light sleepers. However, I'm very satisfied and would consider staying here again on my next visit.
