Hilton Garden Inn San Mateo

About 15 minutes drive from the airport, about 25 USD by UBER, convenient transportation. About 5 minutes walk from the nearest store, good living function. There is PCR Walk-in test around the hotel, which is very convenient for passengers who board the plane. There are many parking spaces in the surrounding squares, and there is no extra charge. The front desk staff has a friendly service and can try to solve the problem of the tenant. It would be perfect if the airport pick-up and drop-off service could be provided in the future.

The service is terrible, I first walk in with my mom and the only receptionist they have all week round is so out of it and rude, then we walk up to the room and I set up my laptop and start playing games and it’s all good and well. I meet up with my girlfriend and as we’re walking down stairs this guy is just STARING at her butt every time she gets up and I glare at him to kinda tell him no and he just ignores me and keeps looking (we’re both 16). So later that night I go upstairs and start playing games again, but after 15 minutes it kicks me out and says “internet connection failure, check your router” and I go to the web browser and it works just fine. So I mess with it for a while and it wont let me in and then an hour goes by and I can go back in and continue to play; yet another 20 minutes goes by and it kicks me out AGAIN. And it’s been doing this every single night except for the first night when it was completely fine and I was able to play from 10pm to 2:30am when I went to bed. Also don’t eat the eggs, they almost ruined a china town trip for me. Also two cars got robbed back to back in their little parking garage the day I got here.

It is very close to the San Francisco Airport, and there is a shuttle bus that runs every hour. It is very convenient. The surroundings are slightly monotonous. It is a 10-minute drive from the center of San Mateo. It is very convenient for eating and shopping.

Staff member who checked us in (named Fatima) was very friendly indeed. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which was huge. Sofa, dining table and kitchenette which contained a microwave, fridge and coffee machine. King-size bed was very comfortable and the sheets were very soft. Room was extremely quiet throughout the night. Shower was pretty powerful. Complementary coffee and water in the lobby.

Unfortunately looking for a place to stay in San Francisco and everything was crazy expensive! I found this place which was about $130 per night because I only had a one night layover. The room itself was dated but fine for one night. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are just a couple of things to be aware of. 1. It’s gonna cost you $40 to get there and back from SFO in Taxi so you need to factor that in. So now you’re paying $170 2. This is not a great neighborhood 3. It has no restaurant or store nearby, it is in sort of a residential area so if you want to eat you have to get delivered. If you want a drink? Sorry there is nowhere. As I said the place is ok. Just will never understand why hotels in SF are soooo expensive!
