The hotel looks really nice and will look great on anybody’s instagram. However, I had a room on the first (ground) floor and these should be avoided by anybody caring about privacy. One of the windows opened on the courtyard and the other opened on an alley, at street level. Anybody walking by inside or outside had a direct view inside the room.

The hostel is very clean The beds are wide and clean. The mattress is thin and hard and not very comfortable but I concede that it is the standard of hostels in China. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bathroom is also very clean. The location is great 10 min walk from the night market and from the bus stop to Mogao.
The only negative note is that in December the room is very cold. Underfloor heating is almost absent. I asked for two blankets to be able to sleep.

Absolutely loved this hotel!
The staff is super charming and kind and helpful
The location is in the newly developed ”old street” which is very charming. In the area there are many restaurants and some bars. Yet the hotel is very quiet.
There is underground parking and a lift directly from parking to hotel floors.
The room is very well designed and well equipped.
I particularly loved the fact that although I arrived around midnight I was able to give my clothes for washing and they were ready when I woke up. They have a washing machine with a dryer function. And I really needed some laundry after two weeks of travel across South Korea.
The 2pm check out was also quite amazing as I was super tired after my long journey day before

The room is antique, just next to the Moroshi Temple. The small hot pot next to the skewers is particularly convenient, and it is really charming to take a quiet return to the village. I think the price is also right. Compared with those business hotels that are more biased and at least 300 large, this one is really good value for money. And the hotel brother has been busy and busy, and has been very natural to laugh and communicate with you. Compared with the standard process-style smile service of business or star hotels, people feel warmer in their hearts and really feel like visiting friends. Because it is a bungalow, the room will occasionally find small bugs and the like, but this is normal, the bungalow will definitely have these, especially care to pay attention, but we don't care about this. Other sanitary environments are very good
I forgot to take the photo in the room, but it is the same as the picture introduction.
Should you say or not, some suggestions, purely personal suggestions: 1. In such an antique yard, there should be a few lounge chairs. Imagine how comfortable it is to lie down in the yard and drink tea in summer; 2. The socket in the room is indeed a bit small, just two bedsides and bathrooms have a total of 3 5-hole plugs (and the side of the bedside is still occupied by the stereo), now it is mobile phones, cameras, charging treasures, drones...especially inconvenient; 3. The lenses in the projector are a bit dirty and the picture is a bit blurry.
On the way to Dunhuang, I met this treasure homestay. The green courtyard is surprising in this cold season. The handsome boss welcomed and sent to the attentive and thoughtful home away from home. The room we booked is in Uyghur style, and there are other ethnic minority style rooms that are also very beautiful, which makes people have trouble choosing. The fruit delivered by the homestay is sweet and delicious, the mutton skewers are fresh and juicy, and the breakfast is a local specialty meal. You must give the boss a thumbs up 👍. All 5 points are recommended!
The room has a fantastic location, with a balcony directly facing the Danxia landform and offering stunning sunset views. The Danxia Scenic Area is right next door, with plenty of authentic local snacks. The hotel is situated in the middle of the loop, offering beautiful scenery no matter which way you turn. Staying in the mountains is incredibly peaceful; I even saw a blue sheep, a Class II protected animal, during my morning run. The scenic area is vast, and staying here allows for a more in-depth exploration.
The best homestay I have ever stayed in the Qinggan Dahuan Line, the owner is very tasteful, the room including the outside of the homestay is very clean, the details are in place, and the facilities are perfect. The bedding and electrical appliances are all better brands. It can be seen that this is a homestay run by the boss. The boss is very enthusiastic and very thoughtful. The small yard in the homestay and the environment next to it are very good, super recommended.
This hotel is in a very good spot, opposite the river, away from the traffic and tourist groups. The restaurant offers great food and drinks. The personal is very friendly and helpful and the room looked very nice, ******* style , and the mattress was comfortable . Can recommend this place without hesitation.
As always I'll rate the hotel I stayed at relative to the cost incurred. So is it value for money?
Location : The location could not be bettered. It is the closest hotel to the Mati Grottoes. Maybe a 500m walk away.
Service : Very good, very friendly ! Welcoming and efficient on arrival. Took food orders for delivery at lunch and dinner (which helped a lot as in Winter all the restaurants in the village were closed)! And also helped me buy snacks in the afternoon (as the usual stores in the village were closed during Winter).
Bedroom : Basic however with 2 beds (comfortable and clean) and a I really liked the sunny alcove with two seats and a table, to sit and drink tea/coffee (bring your own!).
Bathroom : small but most importantly hot water and plenty of it ! The toilet is Western style not a squat (phew - good for my old knees!)
Breakfast : was provided but as I don't often eat breakfast I can't comment further.
You shouldn't expect a 5 star hotel, it's a basic Chinese hotel so don't get expectations up, however it is great value for money, clean and has everything you'd need for a short stay. I would definitely stay here again !

The room is very exquisitely decorated. You can see the Nine Bends of the Yellow River when you enter. The scenery is really beautiful. The facilities are also complete. Daily necessities such as razors, makeup remover towels, etc. provide a lot of convenience.
The front desk service is also very good! ! It is worth mentioning that because my friend who was traveling with me had a fever, I went to get two bottles of water in the morning and explained the situation. The front desk sent us a lot of water in the evening. Not only that, it was also equipped with a medical box, thermometer, and antipyretic medicine. All of them are in place for the safety of tourists. I hope I can stay here next time. I highly recommend everyone to come and check out and there are souvenirs! !

GGuest UserWe stayed 2 nights at the guesthouse. The family who owns it cares about you and your comfort all the time, a thing that we haven’t experienced at any other place in this country.
We stayed at the tent: it is spacious and much better than expected, super comfortable matress (even with a heating blanket in case you are cold, which can be in Xiahe) and pillows. Everything in the house is very clean, it’s only 5 minutes walking from Labrang monastery and 20 from the bus station.
We are glad we spent our time in Xiahe at this guesthouse, would come back for sure!!
GGuest UserIt’s a dreamlike feeling and the wilderness experience is great!
When staying in the wilderness, the first thing is to look at the scenery. The scenery of the desert hills is not to mention. Although it is at the foot of the mountain, it is still refreshing.
It’s also great to take photos in an open space. They gave us guidance on how to take pictures of the starry sky and provided a mobile phone holder. It was great. PS. If you come here, be sure to ask the housekeeper or the boss for a candlelight lantern (the store will provide it for free). The atmosphere for taking photos is great. Got it
In terms of meals, we ordered a barbecue from the store and ate on the terrace of the room (four people can sit on it, and if more than four people eat on the sand below the terrace)
SSimona F.I loved the Courtyard B&B. The rural but very chic style. My room was generous, furnishing in the same traditional style. Clean throughout
The reception area very attractive and provides nice secluded spaces for relaxing- working in my case) under Bamboo trees and mandala decorated glasses of the ceiling. Very peaceful.
I very much appreciated the presence of a kittens with mum and a little doggie which I perceived like mascotte of the place. They were very well maintained and cared of. The stuff is very nice and helpful and we were able to understand each others in some way. I highly recommend this accomodation both for holiday and work.

AAnonymous UserA large courtyard with a very rustic feel, very cozy, with cute cats and dogs. It was already late at night when we arrived. Thank goodness the boss for waiting for so long to help us check in. We dined here the next day. Four of us had copper pot hot pot. We were very satisfied and the seasoning was very fragrant. Tutu looked at us eagerly under the table while we were eating. It was so cute!
GGuest UserWe were four friends living together. The whole room was very spacious, the decoration style was very nice, and there was a small balcony outside. It was also relatively quiet when sleeping. The service attitude was also great. The boss lady was very nice and made us coffee. The breakfast variety was also very rich. There were also many apricots in the yard. The boss lady picked a lot for us. They were delicious and we ate a lot. When we left, we went to eat, so we called a car ourselves. As a result, the driver of the car we called had a very bad attitude. The boss lady immediately called a brother to take us to the place where we ate, which provided us with full emotional value. It was great~!

2205092****This guesthouse is truly unique! Each room is named after one of the twelve zodiac signs, with designs that blend local flair and astrological elements. In the evenings, you can go stargazing, with options for an indoor lecture and actual observation from the rooftop. The instructor mentioned that summer is the best season for stargazing, and if you want to spot your own zodiac constellation, it's best to visit around two months before or after its designated month. They even gave us wishing bottles for our own zodiac signs, which we filled with sand from Mingsha Mountain the next day to take home!
The host is incredibly warm and helpful; you can ask her about local tourism, car rentals, and more – she's very considerate. Breakfast is different every day, with a thoughtful and nutritious selection. There's also an adorable cat who loves to 'accompany' you during meals, often sitting on a chair. She gets so happy if you share half an egg yolk with her every morning! She also recently had three tiny, adorable kittens!
The guesthouse features a classroom and a spacious, bright lobby, making it feel especially suitable for study tour groups. We initially planned to stay two nights but loved it so much we extended for another night. The village atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, and it's about a 15-minute taxi ride to Shazhou Night Market and around 20 minutes to the train station, so transportation is very convenient.
Highly recommend for family trips and educational tours!

GGuest UserThe B&B has a large yard, a good environment, and is surrounded by green trees. It is very close to the Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake scenic area. The owner will take you to a small path, which takes less than ten minutes to reach the scenic area, which is especially convenient for watching the sunrise and sunset. The room is spacious, clean and tidy, and there is no odor. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the spray hot water is large, so it is very comfortable to take a bath. Recommended! ! !

GGuest UserExtraordinary host. Picked us up at the trainstation, drove us to the Nightmarket and back and organized us breakfast. Very recommendable! The location is somewhat out of the city center, but with the helpful host not a problem.

GGuest UserThe good impression of Dunhuang started when the store owner answered my call. He was very enthusiastic to help us book tickets for ”See You Again Dunhuang”, helped us book a taxi for the pick-up station 🚖, and organized us to watch the moon together at night. The store owner is a photography enthusiast with a big golden retriever 🐕. He lent us a cowboy hat and Rose to take pictures at Mingsha Mountain. The point is: the homestay is only a few hundred meters away from the middle gate of Mingsha Mountain, which is super close to satisfy us to watch the sunrise and sunset of Mingsha Mountain.
