Staff was very helpful. I was having problem with my alipay and the counter staff helped solve my issue. We bought tickets to Tian Men Mountain and Zhang Jia Jie Forest Park through the inn and he was kind enough to make sure that our tickets had no problems. Location was good. Near Tian Men Mountain entrance. Lots of good food. No need to worry about meals.

I picked the best hotel to spend a night in Furong Town! It was perfectly located in the center of the Ancient Town, so it was easy to walk everywhere. The room was cozy and had everything I needed. I enjoyed sitting out on the balcony with a fabulous view of the river. The owners are incredibly friendly and communicated with me through WeChat to answer any questions I had about the city. They provided a schedule of events, map, etc. They also arranged a taxi for me to the train station and gave me a kind gift at checkout. I felt very safe and welcomed as a solo traveler. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay!

I recently stayed at this amazing hotel that made my experience with my newborn truly special. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, helping me with my luggage and even offering to help with any extra requests. The facilities were clean and comfortable, making it easy for us to settle in with our little one. The hotel also had a lovely atmosphere, which made our stay relaxing. The city view is impeccable! I was particularly impressed by how accommodating they were, allowing us to enjoy our time without any stress. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to any new parents looking for a friendly and supportive environment. They truly made our stay memorable!

I took a long time researching and almost booked 2 other Instagram popular Minsu only to cancel and take this one instead. I am glad I did because this Minsu has the best view in whole of Furong Town! Many people make the mistake of wanting to stay right and close by the waterfall but the beauty of Furong Town is the wide landscape view of its ancient grounds and gorgeous waterfalls. As such, a view from a certain distance will be the most ideal and the most perfect. We simply love this accommodation! This Minsu is located by the entrance of the Furong Ancient Town. As you start your exploration into the town, you will be taken along multiple paths that will eventually lead you to the waterfall, as you walk through the trail and enjoy the waterfalls. Continue down and hike up into the cliff side steps until you see signages that point towards an exit. You will see some structures that is half built- walk up and then walk straight out and a left turn and you find yourself right back at the Minsu! The location is simply brillant ! We stayed in the 2 bedder suite and had such a wonderful time in the room enjoying the comfortable beds and the great view, we found ourselves lounging indoors most of the time only venturing for a bit outside when the weather was cooler. We will definitely recommend anyone to come and stay in this Minsu. Be sure to also have your dinner there , the food is good and views even better! You will not regret! The Minsu provides to and fro from the railway station , please add them in WeChat and arrange! They are very friendly !

Very considerate hotel. I came here to participate in the competition. Since I arrived at 5 am, I could only contact the hotel. The lady was very nice and enthusiastic. She let me put my luggage at the front desk. Because I participated in the competition, I needed some mineral water. The hotel owner let me use it at will. The most considerate thing was that after my competition, it was already evening. In fact, I had already checked out. I came back and was covered in mud. I wanted to take a shower in the hotel. I said I should spend money, but the owner said no, which touched me very much. I will stay at his house next time for the competition. I have to disturb them again. The hotel owner also provided me with a Zhangjiajie tourist map. On the first day, I followed the route map he gave me. This trip to Zhangjiajie was worth it. I traveled by myself first and ran through the entire Zhangjiajie. Thank you and wish you a prosperous business

I choose this hotel based on previous reviews and they couldn’t have been more precise! I think this hotel is #1 if you want to have THE BEST view of waterfall (book on Floor 3 or 4) The staff was amazing picked us up and dropped us off to and from the train station and helped us with our bags. Breakfast was just as explained hard boiled eggs and a local bread. I’m a coffee drinker but I guess it’s not a thing here in China so don’t expect your morning coffee with bacon eggs and toast. I’m a picky eater had I known I would have brought snacks to enjoy the view of the fall from my room (it was amazing) room SUPER CLEAN! All staff SUPER NICE and they try to communicate through WeChat or translate. I would defiantly stay here again!

Have you ever enter the hotel with luggage in a hot day and being presented with ice cream? I am really sorry that you didn’t. Here is the hotel where you can experience it. And not only this makes it best! The hotel is a bit far from the city center, but this town is tiny which makes tranquility here an advantage. We had a room with mountain view and balcony. The view were nice, the room were spacious and convenient with large bathroom, bathtube at the balcony (why not) and nice “Chinese” styled furniture. Every day they refreshed our water supply with two bottles of it. The owner or host were really nice and helpful. Although he didn’t speak English he made a great effort to help using translator. He booked for us most of the tickets to attractions, organized the transfer to the airport and helped us to plan the route inside parks. The breakfast has only one option, but the view from the terrace where it was served and the food itself were amazing. Highly recommended. Worth every penny and more.

They will assist you with any questions and help you plan your journey and purchase tickets if you need. You can purchase tickets through them, with some slight discount compared to prices on trip.com. Hotel was recently opened, room is very nice and clean. Free breakfast included as well. 😊😊😊

Good location. Staffs are very nice especially a lady who wear eyeglass, she take very good care of us even she cannot speak English but she tried to translate and explain everything. We stay on 4th floor, a room is very clean and comfortable to stay. I can sleep very tight even no air conditioning but the weather is cold. I recommend to book for this hotel.

We had a big room with a very big bed. The bathroom was big with a self-flushing toilet and toilet seat warmer! One wall of the room was just glass so we had a good view out, over some old roofs and windows, and a far view of lovely builidings on a hill. We had a long and narrow balcony with a view of the river, pagoda and bridges. Right below was the bustling street scene near the Hong Qiaio (Rainbow Bridge). The balcony has a couple of hanging bubble seats and even a small table and chairs. Just perfect for viewing the amazing night scenery and people-watch. (Based on an earlier review, we knew the noise stopped at 11.30pm so we had good nights' sleep). We were very comfortable and happy with our room. It was just a short walk from the shops outside the Ancient Town, so we could enjoy both sides of Feng Huang. The entrance to the hostel is hidden behind a costume rental shop, so it's a little tricky to find. The hostel also has a water dispenser for filling up water bottles. All I can say is the location is just the best for watching the comings and goings in the streets, with easy access for walking along the riverside, pagoda, bridges, viewing the performances on the river...yet near enough to pop into our comfy room to recharge.

This accommodation was excellent. The rooms were big, modern and clean, with great views of the local landscape. The service is fantastic. A lot of the staff speak good English, and go the extra mile to make sure you are well looked after in your visit to the area, including free transport to the park and transport hubs. The breakfast is good and varied, particularly the cakes and cookies. We also had dinner every night in the hotel restaurant and it was always excellent. Really recommended, particularly how much effort the staff make to welcome western travellers. There’s also a very friendly dog, and lot of cats, who all like to come and say hello.

Arrived here very late at night 10pm and was surprised to see that the owner has been waiting for us at the counter, despite the late night she was very nice and patient in explaining the room services even though we were only staying for one night for Tianmen the next morning. They allowed us to leave the luggage there while we were out for the day exploring, and welcomed us to rest in their lounge area if we needed to wait for our train. We are pleased with their friendliness and service. The inn is located in a good location in the middle of the many picturesque alley ways, look out for the word “指南针” because we walked past it the first time and was confused for awhile. Very close to the tianmen cable car station and nice eateries nearby! Hotel room is slightly small but clean and very comfortable, cozy. Super recommended :)

When we arrived late for breakfast at 9 AM (usual hours 7-8:30 AM), they graciously prepared fresh meals for us without hesitation. Excellent location as it is within walking distance to tianmen cable car. Might be hard to find the place if you don’t read Chinese as the English name can’t be found outside the building. The room itself is very clean and I think it’s new. Even though there are no smoking signs, people still smoke inside - including the owner. I was lucky to have a room that didn’t have any smell so that’s why I still recommend this place.

I couldn’t ask for a better place! A lovely family ran business with amazing location and smart, clean rooms. Upon arrival I was already greeted with tea and the owner with her son offering to plan my trip for me. As I am a solo traveller I spent a lot of time with the family who always invited me for tea and food. The owner was very accommodating from planning the trips to the mountains, to buying tickets, booking taxis and she would even offer to drop you off at the entrance to the park every morning. I would consider this place over any other hotel. It will definitely make you want to come back again!

This hotel is super comfy. New hotel, everything is brand new. The Staff also very friendly and helpful. Room is very clean and Aircon works very well. Close to Bus and train station, and also the cableway station to the TianMen Mountain. A lot of convenience store and also restaurant. There is one restaurant just a few minutes walk from the hotel. the food is fantastic. One of the best meal ever had in china. Sure comeback one day. Recommended

Nice homestay with perfect location. Room was big and the bed was comfy. We got a free breakfast and free ride to the train station! I recommend this place to everybody.

Stayed one night and highly recommend. Hotel came and picked us up from the railway station and dropped us back. Booked the panorama room which had good views. Hotel is not overlooking “the waterfall” but has a nice view of the water and town before the waterfall. Got beers from the fridge next door and sat on the balcony and watched the town at night. Location is within the town and need to pay to enter the scenic town but staff will help. Staff speak English and via Wechat and happy to help! Highly recommend this hotel and thank you for looking after us. We got breakfast at their restaurant, steamed buns and soup and was the best tasting breakfast so far! Thank you

Our stay here was good. The girl at reception is very kind and always wants to help, and even gave us a lift to the train station when we left, but you need to ask in advance. The hotel is right next to the scenic area of Furong. Our balcony and room were beautiful- but our mosquito net was broken so the room got very damp. Also there was some mould on the curtain in the bathroom and the chair on the balcony. The breakfast was free and very nice, although the kitchen it is cooked in looks a bit unclean which put me off. There was free snacks but no free water which we have experienced everywhere else in China. It looks beautiful at night. I wish it was cleaner.

Provided town map for me and suggested the places to visit. Free postal card as well. Night time opposite has bar and live band. A but noisy but the view in the midnight still very pretty. Morning view is nice too while still not much tourists. The balcony is really comfortable to stay. Listening the river flow, drink a cup of tea or coffee and just relax at the balcony. Worth to stay as I get tired of city life.

The balcony room is the best choice with a swing and settee area to chill by the river. Owner is helpful too. The only complain we had was the toilet seat cover had stains and is small which is not a big issue at all since they provide seat covers. Tips: walk out of ancient city to eat for half the price

Great place to stay to visit the Phoenix Ancient Town. Cars cannot go inside the Phoenix Ancient Town. So the hotel is well located on the edge and you can easily access by crossing the road and going down the stairs. The room was clean and had an air conditioner. Wang spoke English and was very friendly to explain the main attractions. She also assisted to carry the luggage. Thank you. As pointed out in other reviews, there are a bit of stairs to reach the hotel. As a trade off, you will get some amazing views. For tourists, please note that the easiest way to come here is via the Fenghuangguchen High Speed Railway Station. From there you will need to take a taxi for around CNY25. I don’t think there was Didi yet at the time of this review.

Hotel just a short walk from NanHua Road entrance. Hotel along river blank. Have good river view. Con side is rather noisy. Noise from people and tour groups tour along river blank and pub music noise. Room wise is spacious,. Bed comfortable. Con is insect in room if previous occupant opened up window. Have a big moth flying around in the room

Pros- Great location by the river, beautiful and close walking distance to the food shops, famous bridges and the red lady singing on the boat (5-10mins). Clean warm room. Bit of scuff marks and stuff on the walls and wooden furnitures but overall charming, nice and modern and no like stinky smells from the river/mosquitoes/cigarettes etc. Warm showers and has all the standard amenities (hairdryer, soap shampoo, shaver etc). The manager is super friendly and hospitable even though she doesn’t speak English she really tries her best to help. Cons- noisy bars and karaoke until 11pm, tour groups in the morning start like at 7am below the balcony (maybe one or two when I was there 2 days) and 9am construction work starts. The free tour is sadly in Chinese only, and the free outfit doesn’t include photos or makeup, it is about 199 yuan for that but if you don’t want photos or makeup it’s free. Don’t think they wash the outfits super often either. Laundry is apparently not a proper one and you have to hand wash. No lifts if you have a lot of luggage.

The hotel was comfortable and the hosts were very friendly. It was just a bit hard for me to find because of the name. But if you’re coming from any bus station, you’ll walk towards the map location, and will get to a fork road. The left one goes down to the river walkway, the right one goes to the hotel road. Take the right one and keep looking to your left, and the hotel is just a few meters from the fork road.

The location is great, inside the old city. It was a bit difficult to find because I was not looking at the street numbers so I ended up in another hostel and the lady there helped me and brought me to the hotel. Most Chinese people I encountered have helped me a lot even though don't speak Mandarin. I was offered a better room with views of the riverside, but I had a tight schedule and was alone, so I didn't need an upgrade, I just wanted to sleep there. But if you go with family or couple I highly recommend you take the rooms with views, the village is amazing at night with the lights. In my case I went from the train station to the hotel through the Maglev and a bus. But I took the taxi to the train station, I think it's better, faster and cheaper that you just take a taxi to the hotel. Thanks for everything!

The homestay is located at the entrance of the ancient city, which is very convenient for traveling. The proprietress is enthusiastic and thoughtful, and introduced the tourist routes and special food in detail. The room is clean and hygienic, the environment is quiet, and the viewing platform and balcony have beautiful scenery. You can also experience Miao clothing for free, and do exquisite makeup for 50 yuan, so that you can take beautiful photos. When you leave the store, you will also be given a thoughtful souvenir. There are literally so many home stays around this area. I think all of them are pretty similar. But according to my cousin, the one they stayed was really small and not clean. Luckily, this one we booked was pretty clean and nice. It’s away from the bar street and it’s quiet at night. We have a 4 years old so definitely a plus! It’s super close to the bridge and you can see the river and lighted buildings after night, pretty beautiful. Pictures are from our balcony before dark
