Rooms are spacious as well. The hostel manager was also hospitable and friendly, giving us recommendations along the way.

Facilities: Because I booked a Soviet-style family room, the room is on the second floor and there is no elevator. When you go up to the room, you have to go through a very steep and narrow staircase. If you are going with elders or companions with inconvenient legs and feet, you need to think carefully. Hygiene: You have to go through a long corridor before entering the B&B. There will be a little smell, but it is not heavy and it is acceptable. A bit of a walk through the uneven pavement and up and down a bridge, with our heavy luggage and mum’s difficulty to walk is not the best. However, to stay within zhou zhuang, that’s the only option. Ask for 2nd floor rooms will be even better. Our room is back facing the alley where the housekeepers walk in and out chatting . Owner is also very nice and friendly.

此行去蘇州，網搜山塘街附近的酒店，便看到這家評分很高的挽河·河景客棧。也是有眼緣，毫不猶豫地就選擇了它。人剛到南京，店主就熱情地打來電話，加了微信，告訴我們客棧位置、入住須知、遊玩攻略等。到了蘇州，店主又提前確認到達時間，並親自到街口迎接。房間裏更是收拾得窗明幾凈，開好了空調，切好了水果，真真地讓人有賓至如歸的感覺。店主是一個很年輕很帥（微胖但瑕不掩瑜）的九五後小夥子，待人接物有禮有節，熱情卻不逾越，周到卻有分寸感，且有求必應有問必答。多虧他，我們才有了物超所值的周莊半日遊，也險險地避過了私家機場巴士的坑。 再來説客棧，如圖所示，臨河而建，兩層客房都在河邊，位於山塘街西側的新馬路上，環境幽雅，鬧中取靜，離2號地鐵線和406路、9002路公交車站都不遠，去幾個知名景點很方便。客房內設施齊全，乾濕分離，智能馬桶，還配備了一次性浴巾，很注重細節。 總之這是一次很棒的入住體驗，如果再來蘇州，想必還會選擇這裏。滿分好評。

Great little place to stay. I booked the room with a balcony view. Enjoyed sitting on the chairs in the morning and evening. Mosquito netting around the bed is perfect for a good night sleep. Overall I would love to come back here again. No issue with Food Delivery into the park. Hotel staff were helpful in arranging Taxi Service to Oriental Land Station (100RMB). Enjoyed the shops and plenty to do over a couple days if you like to take your time strolling leisurely. Also traveled to Suzhou canals near Qilishantang and Pingjiang which are great as well.

Room has an ageing look with dusts, bathroom is a bit mouldy. We came during winter and the room was like a chiller and took some time to warm up. The owner arranged his staff to pick us up on foot from a meeting point outside the ancient town as cars aren’t able to enter. However, his staff didn’t lead us back to the same pick up point even if had requested for help. We lost our way and thankfully my car driver was able to locate us. We booked a room for 4 but amenities were arranged for 2 only. We have to request for extra from bathroom items to pillows. Will consider other modern guests houses at the edge of the water village for the same price.

He took our luggage, put it in the room and turned on the air conditioner when we arrived the night before. He saw us off the next day, which was a big help in the hot weather!! I did not sleep well before I went to this magical little town, I feel so recharged after I had a good sleep, I feel safe. It was a little bit crowded in the shopping streets in the old town during day time because it was father’s days weekend but this little hotel is convenient yet quiet. The room has everything you need, it is clean and tidy, owner has very good taste in interior design. It is very comfortable. I honestly want to live there for long time :)
