We stayed here for one night en route to London from Moraira in Spain Easy check in. Clean room at end of corridor as requested. Dog friendly We visited the Guggenheim Museum and hadn’t realised it was so far We didn’t stay for breakfast Perfect for a stop over

We arrived via the airport bus and found the accommodation easily thanks to reading the reviews beforehand. It is a doorway with a many signs including one for Bilbao city rooms. The rooms are on floors 4 and 5 with Reception on the 4th. Check in was fast and simple with a warm welcome from the lady at reception. The whole two floors have well lit clean corridors and the lift is great. The room was a very clean well presented modern double with a large shower room and plenty of storage. The window s can be opened and I like other reviews mentioning the heat and the ceiling fan... we can say it’s chilly at night but the heating does come on at ten! The location of these room is very central and excellent l. Great transport links if needed but we walked all around the old and new parts of the city with the Guggenheim, bars and restaurants all on our doorstep. Shopping in Bilbao is fantastic and dint be afraid to visit the 2nd hand stores .. some amazing finds!!!

Bilbao was my first stop on a 5 day holiday to Spain, and was probably the place I was looking forward to visiting the most. Kind of a odd city to negative, but after asking around to people who had visited before, decided to base myself in the old town, and found Casual Bilbao Gurea to my liking. My taxi dropped me off at the front of the theater, as I had to walk the last few minutes of my journey. Best to have Google maps out, as there is no big sign post of the hotel, and after walking around, I noticed out the corner of my eye a small sign on the side of a door. One through this door you have to walk right to the back behind the stairs and get the lift up to the floor where the hotel is. Nice enough place, and I was check in to my room in no time. Simple, but main thing is that it was clean. Staff are extremely helpful, and was most satisfied with my stay. If back in Bilbao again, I would most certainly consider staying here again.

We stayed recently with our 3 year old twins. It was a fantastic spot, fantastic family room in a great location close to everything. They also organise all the parking close by. What really makes Pension Aida is the staff. I did the initial booking over the phone with Paul who was a pleasure to deal with and helping us with parking where to eat, what beach to go to etc. We we're enjoying our stay so much we stayed another night. Step in Joseph who was also an absolute delight. Again helping us with suggestions and going out of his way to bring us to his favourite cafe. The staff here make this the perfect spot. When in San Sebastian, this a gem. Not to mention the incredible value.

Bedroom with double room for single use and private bathroom. Excellent cleaning, very good bed quite above the category of membership, very good and careful reception girl and gave me very useful information for the stay and how to move. In spite of the distance from the city center there is a fabulous 50-metre train from the structure that brings you to the city center in 14 minutes! Two bus lines at 200 metres (20/30 minutes to reach the nervous points). The Metro stop is inaccessible because it is beyond the river, so the news reported is wrong! Quality ratio /prezzo excellent. You can want breakfast because there is a small kitchen in common. Very satisfied!

I needed my boyfriend to stay over while I was traveling and this was the perfect place. This isn't a 5-star hotel, but it did the trick and we were very comfortable - here is why. PROS - Coming from Bilbao Airplane or taking Bus?...: It is close to 2 blocks from Bilbao Intermodal and if you are coming from the airport, this hotel is an easy walk from where the bus drops you off in San Mamés. The location is also SUPER safe. - Transportation: If you look down the street and cross it, you will also see the tram station along with the metro station. - Food?: There is food everywhere. This is Bilbao. Spend 2 euros (or really please buy a Barik card) and go into the city, you won't be disappointed. The best part about the tram is that it goes theoretically left or right. I live close to NYC so I understand it can be complicated, but the system in Bilbao, chef's kiss. - Bed/Room: Pro? The bed/room you get in sleek, modern, and for a REALLY CHEAP PRICE! Please don't hassle your way into spending a lot of money on a hotel in Spain. It is not truly worth it. Just get this place, feel comfortable, and safe. - Staff? There are not many, but the ones that are there will help and accommodate you. You just need to be nice. I say this because I went in to check in and someone was being helped. They weren't that nice to staff, so please remember, we are all human. CONS - Cleaning: I will say, the bathrooms were clean, but the headboard for me was dusty. It might have been that the room wasn't used a lot. But please don't worry, it did not effect my stay considering the price was reasonably cheap. - THE ENTRANCE!: You need to understand, their rating is a 2/5 stars but it is NOT because they are bad, in Spain it is based on what the hotel/hostels have and DON'T have. So what they don't have is a front reception. Listen closely if you are going to go here. Once you get on the street, you will need to buzz into the door as if you are requesting to go to someone's apartment. OR they will give you a code before hand. We very much enjoyed our time at this hotel but I’m going to do something I don’t usually Pros: *Great location *So clean, I can’t emphasise this enough. *Very modern decor *Good wifi * comfy bed *Good communication * walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go * supermarket literally next door * super lively surrounding street. Cons: *I had to keep asking for emails/communication in English, they kept sending it in German, I’m Australian * noisy inside the room. We could hear our neighbours talk, listen to music, shower at 1am 😩 * we kept hearing a noise when we arrived, mid afternoon, and thought it was construction work ,turns out it was the hot water system.

This time, I stayed with a friend for 2 days and 1 nights. I stayed on Saturday, but I went wrong to make sure I was in time for check-in on weekdays, and when I arrived, the front desk was over. Naturally, there was no one at the front desk and I was quite impatient, but if I was patiently calling the emergency contact information placed at the front desk, the gentle owner answered the phone. I was told the room number and managed to stay in the room. I was very grateful that I could check my money and passport the next day. We can't speak Spanish fluently, but the owner understood what we wanted to say and responded very kindly. I am very grateful. The room was clean and comfortable to spend the night. There are many restaurants and bars nearby, so I don't think you will have any trouble eating. I would like to take care of you again.

Cristina Enea Rooms is located in a great neighbourhood and it’s right next to the Tabakalera cultural centre. When you come out of the bus station, look up. The Brutalist skyscraper is where you’re headed but don’t be put off by the exterior - inside it is bright and airy. Currently, due to station works, you must cross the tracks via a red pedestrian bridge. That basically takes you to one of the three possible entrances to the accommodation. Ricardo at reception was welcoming and super-helpful and seemed to be there most days from 10-6. The manual code worked a charm for building entry the first time as did the swipe card thereafter. As for the rooms, I liken this to a fancy hostel with rooms coming off a central kitchenette/lounge area. This is fine if your fellow guests are quiet during quiet hours (10pm-8am) but if not… Yes the walls between the rooms are very soundproof - no voices or even water pipes. The room doors, however, are heavy and most people don’t turn the handle so they bang loudly. Also, noise easily escapes under the doors of other rooms (crying babies, folks talking loudly after a big night). There’s so much to like about Cristina Enea Rooms - the location, very comfortable beds and pillows, great storage - but when the number one purpose of accommodation is to get a good night’s sleep then I’m not sure I can recommend…

We canceled another hotel booking and switched to Boulevart Donostia. I'm so glad that we did. The location is perfect...just across from the old part of town and a short walk to La Concha. There's a parking garage right across the street as well. Parking is a little high but there are cheaper options if you don't mind walking a little further. The room was perfect and had so much space. The beds were super comfy and the room was nice and cool. This is our second time visiting San Sebastian and we definitely preferred our room here over our previous stay. I would definitely stay here again when we come back. Highly recommend.
