I loved it lovely place and good quality room and kitchen was available more than happy to stay again

The location of this accommodation is perfect. Just 10-15 minutes walk from Canterbury West Train Station. There is a Sainsbury's local at the corner and the main street is just 2 minutes walk. The host is very nice and friendly. The room is clean, bed sheet and duvet smell good. For amenities, there are only hand wash and body wash, you have to bring your own stuffs. It's a good experience to stay in this accomodation.

The room is clean; the only issue is a little bit of a weird smell. And it would be great if a shower and shampoo could be provided.

Second time staying here and it was just as perfect! Staff are so friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and well decorated, the bed is the best ever!! Will be coming back again. Highly recommended 🥰💕

This was genuinely a wonderful and most special place. The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet. They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it. The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard. The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need! The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality. Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible. Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite. A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!! There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise. She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!! Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too! It may be that the check-in was close to 10 pm that day. Self-check-in, according to a password sent by Ctrip, find the room 🔑, and then the password, it feels a bit of an adventure, if you are alone, it is best to stay at dawn. The garden is quite large and carefully arranged, that is, the table in the room is too small, the computer can not be spread out, and the bathroom is small. Overall clean.

Small single room. Clean and tidy. Bathroom and toilet is also very small. A sliding door for the toilet . Very close to city centre, high street and department store . Excellent location. Few minutes walk to bus terminal .

It is a classic B&B in the city center that costs about 100 pounds. Because the house was so beautiful, I stayed a few extra days. I uploaded some photos I took, highly recommended.

I really admire Alex as a hotel practitioner so perfect for taking care of the family hotel! This comment is not to write a simple clean and tidy, good service, good location to express my feelings! I want to say that the layout is very special, very artistic, fully utilized all resources but not crowded, everywhere reflects the high taste and intention of the operator! At the time of the tourism industry has not yet recovered, Alex provides guests with a variety of food and beverage experience. He has great kindness! So this is a highly recommended family hotel! I will come back again! As a hotel practitioner, I really admire Alex for managing his family hotel so perfectly! 忘了取消酒店… 嗚嗚

The first day was too late. There were no people and cars on the street in the town. It was very warm to enter the house. It was a very retro English family house. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. It felt like living at home. I slept well on the first day. The breakfast was very rich. I will choose this next time.

This is an old couple who runs a hotel located on the hill. They are very kind and treat people very well, especially the breakfast, which is great. Looking at the scenery outside the window, they are enjoying an authentic English breakfast and black tea. . Very good choice in this small town, I will definitely come again next time!
