Los Cristianos Hostels

Hotel was generally nice enough, although room wasn't in great condition. The spa/health care suite was closed for two days out of our stay due a staff member being off on holiday, but we wanted to use the facilities, so this was disappointing. breakfast was ok although hot drinks were not nice.

The only negative point would be that at 8 a.m. we can book the bathroom handcuffs with towels and see the same empty but obviously occupied hours ... They should put some order in related to this.

We had a wonderful 10 day stay at Paradise Park. We stayed in an annex room which was really spacious and lovely and clean. The room was cleaned every other day but I believe it would have been daily if we had requested it. We stayed half board and the buffet food was great, loads of options and these were changed daily. The kids club and entertainment was exceptional, my 2 year old and 6 year old were really well looked after. The staff in the food hall were so helpful and fun, they were attentive and had fun with my kids too. It is just over a 10 minute walk down a gentle hill to the beach front and also this was completely fine walking back up, and we managed with a pram. We went on a couple of excursions, aqualand and the monkey park. These were fab for my kids, aqualand had loads of slides and options for both my kids and monkey park allowed the kids to feed guinea pigs and had a wide array of different monkeys. I would happily recommend this hotel and Los Cristianos as a whole for a fun family holiday.

Arrived at the hotel was put in room B2 ground floor. No windows only one door that opens onto a patio right opposite a gate that leads onto the street, not very safe feeling as anyone could walk in. Room smelt like hot sewage, cracked tiles in the kitchen area, stains and hairs on the bed sheets and air con remote was no where to be found. Went and complained at the reception desk and they said there wasn’t anything they could do until the morning and they require 20 euros for the air con remote! Me and my partner went out for dinner as it was getting late and when we came back and entered our room again the smell was 10x worse! I went back to the reception desk where the same receptionist stated he can’t do anything for us sometimes it just smells. Extremely disappointed! After sitting in the room for 20mins I packed mine and my partners stuff and walked back down to reception. I said I refuse to sleep in a room that smells like hot sewage, is dirty and has multiple broken things in it and if there was nothing they could do I would want a refund so I could go stay elsewhere. The receptionist then gave us a new room and new room keys but stated we may have to move again the next morning, No map or anything to find the way round it’s like a maze!! Once into our new room now being around 1am we went to sleep. At 2.30am my partner was woken up by 2 men letting themselves into our room!! Horrified we jumped out of bed and the boys ran out of the room, the hotel had given them keys to our room and told them that’s where they were staying!! The next morning I went down to reception and spoke to a lady, didn’t get her name but I believe she is head of customer service. HORRIBLE woman, we explained our situation, how dissatisfied we were with the first room and how awful the smell was, then explained how disgusted we were that two men were let into our room in the middle of the night while us two girls were vulnerable and sleeping and how our first night and morning of holiday has been taken up trying to sort out the room situation. She stated it was our fault the guys were let into our room as they had paid to stay in that one (me and my partner completely unaware that someone else was booked in the room) She said there’s no smell in room B2, it’s our fault for complaining! Blamed us for absolutely everything and said we should be happy we don’t have to pay for the upgraded room they put us into! No understanding at all! Then had breakfast after sorting out the rooms, sadly this was also awful! Stone cold food, stale cereal and mouldy food!! Don’t ever stay here!! Couldn’t recommend it any less!! Awful hotel and useless receptionists!!

My family and I stayed at the Sol Arona Hotel for a week, all-inclusive from 29/09 onwards via Jet2 package deal. This was our first family holiday with our two children (6 & 8), and I can honestly say it was an excellent choice and good value for money. Check-in was easy, and the young lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful, explaining when food is served and how the drinks tokens worked. Our room was located on the 4th floor, room 407, which was our “Sol room with lounge and frontal sea view.” It indeed had a great view of the harbour and sea, perfect for watching the sunset every evening. First impressions: the room was very spacious and clean. However, it was very hot and did not have AC, just a ceiling fan. After opening the window and the balcony door, the room soon cooled down, and AC didn’t seem necessary after our first night. As we arrived fairly late on Sunday evening and hadn’t eaten since lunch, I expected there would be some food available for us being all-inclusive, but sadly this wasn’t the case. Food is served at set times, so we had to find a shop to buy water and some food, which was slightly annoying after traveling all day. The room could have also used a fridge to store water, but we later found we could fill our water bottles in the dining area or at the bar, so we just did that every evening. The facilities at the Sol Arona were good. As others have said, it could use a bit of a makeover to bring it into 2024, but we had everything we needed to make it a holiday to remember. We had no issues getting sun loungers in the mornings; there were plenty to go around, but I’d guess in the middle of summer that wouldn’t be the case. All the staff were very friendly, I’d like to give Dani and the entertainment ladies a special mention as they really kept our two kids busy with various activities throughout our stay. The food available in the dining area was really nice, a lot better than I was expecting, and there was a large choice each day with cuts of meat and fish cook too order Infront of you. Evening entertainment which we attended most evenings was good, the kids especially liked the magician and acrobats . All in all a really enjoyable holiday, and thanks for having us! Andrea's Hotel is towards the best 2 * hotel I've ever stayed in, clean, unexpected comfort and excellent service. The location is perfect, away from the hurly burly but close enough to walk to the beaches and harbour. Some good restaurants close by. The bedroom had a comfortable bed, adequate storage, air conditioning that's works well; also a quiet, effective ceiling fan. The bathroom is fine. There's a kettle, tea and coffee; TV, safe, hair dryer, plenty of duvets etc. We had a balcony with table and 3 chairs. The hotel has a good size lounge with a vending machines selling, crisps, chocolate bars, sodas, etc. Reception is manned 24 hours a day, good English spoken. . The lift works well. They have a secure lock up to leave cases etc. They don't do breakfasts but there's a number of cafes reasonably close; also a supermarket underneath the hotel. We paid about 60 euros per night and stayed there twice. Highly recommend.

The hotel is beautiful and feels like there's a lot of history to it. The room was clean and we both loved the charm, and the location, close to both the pier for the ferries and the beach. We both loved the hotel, but I must highlight your concierge Rodolfo. When we were checking out my wife had left her purse with our passports in the bathroom of the reception level. My wife and I had to catch a ferry to La Palma in 30 minutes when she realized where it was. By then we were at the pier. She called the front desk while I ran back to the hotel and Rodolfo picked up. My wife was of course nervous because of everything in her purse aside from our passports. Rodolfo kept her calm and on the line, and immediately got my wife's purse and put it in the locked box in the reception. He had also been keeping an eye on the lobby so he knew that no one else had used that bathroom since my wife had used it. He also helped to calm her down. When I arrived running back he immediately gave me her purse and reassured us that everything was ok. Indeed it was and I was able to run back and catch the ferry on time. The staff at this hotel is amazing and definitely its best asset, and Rodolfo is at the top. Gracias Rodolfo! Hasta la proxima!
