The staff members are one of the best people in this industry! Genuinely friendly, kind, and extremely helpful. Don't be afraid to chat with them. They like to chit-chat and joke around. It's a really adult friendly, kids friendly environment. Untop of this, the hygiene is 10/10! The rooms, toilets, badrooms, and wash rooms are clean. The breakfast/diner, halls are clean. The breakfast and diner are more than okay to start and end your day with. Everything is prepared by the lovely staff of the hostel. Ps. They're master chefs. They just won't admit it... The hostel is located at the lake of Geneva, and the area is beautiful! It's totally worth it to take a morning or evening walk. It's a very safe environment, and people of Montreux will say hello or even start to talk to you. I stayed for 4 days, but if I knew this was going to be this great, I would have booked a few days more! Really recommend this hostel! 👏🏽

Der Empfang war nicht gerade effizient - obwohl man zuhause bereits alle Daten online ausgefüllt hat. Nach 25 km langem Pilgermarsch möchte man an einem heissen Tag einfach nur eines: eine erfrischende Dusche. Leider war der Kaltwasserhahn im Doppelzimmer kaputt, es kam nur heisses Wasser. Der Wechsel in ein anderes Zimmer war dann immerhin rasch vollzogen. Das Nachtessen war ok. Das Beste an der JH Lausanne sind jedoch das Frühstücksbuffet und die super Lunch-Säcke. Das Frühstück ist vollwertig, mit frischen Früchten, Müesli und Brot mit allem was dazugehört. Eine echte Überraschung waren die (am Vortag zu bestellenden) Lunchpakete. 2 Sandwiches, 2 versch. Riegel, 1 Frucht und ein Getränk für nur 10.- Fr - absolut top!

The staff are helpful, courtesy and kind. They went out of their way to help me to get necessary information and even trying to help me to book my next B&B. The facility is clean and everything a traveler could need and want. They have a dinning area, kitchen and chill room with sofa and TVs. The best part is they provide a locker FREE in the room where you stay. On top of it, there are power outlets in the locker so you could charging your equipment in a secure locker. How cool is that?! Loving it.

Stayed 1 night on business trip. Was concerned about arriving late and not finding anyone to check me in. However, this is not an issue as they have a self-check in ”system”. Just have to keep your eyes open. Room had 2 singles and a futon. Bathroom was good size. Everything was very clean, not surprising as the employees were Portuguese (known for cleanliness). The furnishings were very basic, nothing fancy. The room size was good. Breakfast was typical continental (pastries, cheese, cold cuts, fruits, cereals) and was served in the in-house restaurant. I would have like to lunch there but it was only open for breakfast on Tue and Wed. Given the amount of celebrities who've dined there (pictures on wall) I imagine the food is good. The restaurant is quite charming and intimate. The village is on the vineyarded slopes of Lake Geneva with beautiful views on the lake and the Alps behind. Its a tad expensive but this is Switzerland. My one complaint would be the early checkout time of 10:00 which seemed inflexible because the staff have to get everything cleaned and leave.
