This was my first time in Shenzhen for work, and I chose to stay at this hostel. It didn't disappoint! From check-in to check-out, I was very satisfied with the owner's service. The room was also very clean, and all the linens were freshly washed. There are two bathrooms, both spacious and clean, making it comfortable for showering and doing laundry. If I encountered any issues during my stay, I'd communicate with the owner, and they'd resolve them immediately. The owner also makes sure to give all guests special reminders and tips to ensure a comfortable stay. The price is also reasonable, and the location is fantastic – a subway station is right downstairs, making it convenient to get anywhere. There's also a good roasted meat shop and a charcoal BBQ place downstairs. Highly recommend it! You can stay here with confidence.

The facilities are excellent, and the location next to Jinsha Park is lively in the evenings. There's a commercial street next to the park, making it convenient for dining and shopping. The bathrooms are very clean, but the hostel doesn't have curtains; it would be better if the business owners could install them.

There are many entrances in that building - this big entrance near the kids playgrounds and McDonalds is the one to hostel elevator. 24h security guard downstairs might ask for ID. Gangxia exit B and Gangxia North exit 9 subway entrances are both 100m away - in Gangxia trains are closer. Hostel itself has limited space, nothing fancy, but friendly staff speak english. I've seen better hostels, but based on ratings not sure if Shenzhen has any lol, at least for male travellers. Dengba was quite similar, more spacey, just a bit more walk to subways.

I had an extra day of travel unexpectedly and didn't have a travel buddy to split a hotel with. Booking a hotel by myself for one night would have been over my budget, so I just randomly picked this hostel. I didn't take many pictures, only mentioned it briefly when talking to friends, but the experience was surprisingly good! As soon as I walked in, a staff member helped me with my luggage and guided me to change into slippers. The slippers were very clean and not meant for outdoor use. After changing, they showed me around, explaining each area. There's a separate restroom, a vanity room, a gym, a study room, and even curtains in the shower area to prevent clothes from getting wet! The room key opens both the room and the locker, so privacy is well-protected. Each bed has its own light and a small table. Overall, I just felt it was exceptionally good 😭😭😭! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit this area! The only slight downside was that my bed creaked when I moved, and also when I got off it.

What an unexpected gem of a hostel! It's located right on Longyan South Road, with tons of local eateries just steps away. The atmosphere is fantastic. I met some great people, and we ended up exploring together and even played some games with other guests. There's a common area where you can watch movies or TV. If I didn't have other plans, I would have definitely stayed longer. The bathroom was a bit small and had a squat toilet, but that's understandable for a hostel – you can't compare it to a hotel.

The common areas were decent, and the environment was quite clean, with good infrastructure, which should have been a plus. However, the staff service, management protocols, and complaint handling were all terrible throughout, leading to a very poor experience.
1. **Indifferent Staff Service; Clear Discrimination Between Local and Foreign Guests**
During check-in, when I asked normal questions and inquired about directions, the staff was perfunctory throughout, repeatedly responding with ”just look yourself” or ”you can see it.” Their attitude was cold and impatient, providing no effective guidance whatsoever. Yet, when dealing with foreign guests, their responses were incredibly quick and their attitude noticeably enthusiastic. This blatant discrimination was extremely unsettling. Ironically, the volunteers and some other guests were more proactive and friendly than the actual staff.
2. **In-House Rules Ignored; Chaotic and Unmanaged Environment**
The establishment clearly stipulates that slippers must be worn when entering rooms, but foreign guests staying in the same room wore shoes the entire time, disregarding this common rule. I reported this to the staff, and the cleaning crew also witnessed it, but no one ever intervened or corrected the behavior.
One foreign guest had an extremely poor sense of boundaries, frequently bringing his girlfriend into the male dorm, even staying overnight in the same bed, severely infringing upon other guests' privacy and safety. The establishment did absolutely nothing to manage or regulate this.
3. **Lost Personal Item; No Resolution, Apology, or Responsibility from the Establishment**
I booked a two-night stay. On my second day, I left my pajama bottoms on the bed when I went out, and found them missing upon my return. When I reported this to the front desk at check-out, they only verbally stated, ”the cleaning staff might have accidentally taken it, we'll follow up.”
Subsequently, I had to proactively message them for any updates. They eventually informed me that the item couldn't be found, with no explanation, no compensation plan, and not even a formal apology. They only replied with a few inexplicable emojis, showing an extremely perfunctory and irresponsible attitude.
As a consumer, I pay for accommodation not to be annoyed or discriminated against, and certainly not to lose an item and not even receive basic respect. The establishment failed to enforce its rules, take responsibility for its guests, and address problems. The overall experience was extremely disappointing.

For travelers on a tight budget looking for accommodation, I’d recommend this place—but avoid the 6-8 person dorms. They’re cramped, poorly ventilated, and can get extremely hot. Most importantly, I had issues with roommates, so I asked the receptionist to switch rooms. I ended up upgrading to a 4-person dorm for a small extra fee, and the staff was very helpful.
In short: The 4-person dorm is a much better choice—it has an ensuite bathroom, while the 6-8 person dorms share external bathrooms with the entire floor.**

This was my first time staying in a hostel, and I feel like I hit the jackpot! 🥹 It's fantastic that the washing area, locker area, and resting area are all separate. I don't have to worry about disturbing my roommates when I come back late after a show and need to get ready; I can just wash up and then head back to my room. Upon check-in, they provided a toiletries kit, which even included a disposable bath towel – super convenient! On the fourth floor, there's a row of hair dryers outside the shower room, so you don't have to worry about making noise while drying your hair late at night. The bed was bigger than I expected, and the mattress was quite soft, easily comparable to hotels costing around 300 RMB.

AAichihuajiaodemiaomiaoOverall, the front desk staff at this hostel were really friendly and made me feel welcome. It's been open for a few years, so some of the facilities are a bit dated, but they're still well-maintained and perfectly functional. The cleanliness was impressive; both the rooms and common areas were spotless and odor-free. During my stay, it felt pretty quiet, with not many guests around, which might be due to it being the off-season for travel.
For a city like Shenzhen, this hostel offers great value for money and is a good option for travelers who prioritize basic hygiene and good service over luxury accommodations.

GGuest UserThis is the best hostel I've ever stayed at. The location, staff, and facilities are all great. I highly recommend it if you're coming to Shenzhen. It's well-managed, and most of the guests are considerate, though there were a couple of times people didn't flush the toilet, which was a bit annoying. It seems like a lot of people in a 10 or 12-person dorm, but aside from when people are packing up, it's very quiet. If you're not used to squat toilets, there's a subway station diagonally opposite, and an escalator leads right down to a public restroom, which is very convenient.

GGuest UserI booked this place for my IELTS exam. It's really close to the test center and I stayed for two nights, which was pretty good. It was quite clean, and there were a lot of foreign guests. I even met an elderly foreign lady traveling alone in China for the first time; she saw me carrying English books in the morning and said hello and we chatted a bit. If I had to mention any downsides: the power outlets were very loose, so my phone wouldn't charge properly, and on the second night, someone was showering loudly between 4-5 AM.
This is the first time I booked a youth hostel. This time I just stored my luggage and went to visit CUHK. The boss went downstairs to pick up the luggage, and finally helped carry it down. Overall, the service was pretty good.
