Minor issue Was everyday spotting cockroaches at the bathroom toilet. Wish that problem is resolved soon for guests. Apart from all that, a great hostel to stay at hohhot and a great location too.

I traveled on a budget and came to Ergun. I saw the Ergun Wetland and stayed in an extremely comfortable youth hostel. I love it here. The aunt at the front desk is also very nice. She greets me every time and asks me to walk along the road in front of the bus station to see the wetlands and people swimming in winter. I will recall this trip countless times. Excellent location. Take the airport bus to Chunxi Road and then take the Metro from Chunxi Rd Station to just one stop away Xinnamen Station. Make sure you come out at the right exit. You can see the hostel as you come out. The room is spacious! There is a roof garden and a nice lounge area. P.S. Google map does not work in China. Download MAPS.ME. The hostel itself is very cute and cozy, though you will notice that it's already been through some years. The rooms themselves were nice and clean. The bathrooms only have squatting toilets, which in itself is not a problem; however I believe there were some guests around that didn't know how to properly use them and the bathrooms weren't cleaned daily so unfortunaly I cannot give more points on cleanliness. I don't know how much English is spoken and I'm not sure how many tips staff can give about the surrounding sights. We asked if it was possible to get to the Xilamuren grasslands by public bus and the receptionist told us it wasn't. It is though, you can take a long distance bus to Zhaohe from the long distance bus station. We didn't ask for any more directions afterwards...
