BenzhuodazhuThis hostel is located right next to Xi'an Sports Park, and it's a short 15-minute bike ride (on a shared bike) to attractions like the Bell Tower and SEG Shopping Center. Plus, the airport shuttle bus stop at Xi'an Hotel is only a five-minute walk away, which is super convenient if you have an early flight. The hostel itself has a great vibe, and everyone does a good job of keeping the common areas tidy. Compared to other hostels I've stayed in, this one is excellent. It's a fantastic choice for budget travelers doing a quick day trip or young people catching an early flight out of Xi'an.

My first time trying this place, and I thought it was great! I booked the cheapest room, which I think was a 16-person dorm, but the front desk lady upgraded me to a 12-person one. I even extended my stay for another night.
The environment inside is quite peaceful. Everyone in the common areas is pretty respectful, except for a few loud shouts during billiards sometimes!
Oh, and there were a lot of foreigners, couples mostly, chatting among themselves – it had a nice vibe.
Since it was my first time, I wasn't familiar with everything and didn't prepare toiletries. When I went to shower, I even saw two guys coming out of the same stall, which honestly stunned me a bit.
However, the privacy in the restrooms and shower rooms is excellent; they're all enclosed. The hot water comes on quickly, the water pressure is strong, and everything is clean.
Everyone seemed pretty well-behaved. I mostly kept to myself, though, and didn't really interact with anyone. At one point, a foreigner asked me in English if he could use a stool. I honestly didn't understand anything he said, but I got his meaning and just waved my hand. He must have thought I was refusing him because he started to leave. I was so flustered I couldn't speak, just waving my hands around like fans, trying to convey my meaning. He must have seen my panic and understood, so he moved the stool. Only then could I relax and continue drinking my hot water alone. (I saw the front desk staff, both a guy and a lady, speaking English with the foreigners, and I was so envious! Ugh, I can only read English; I can't understand or speak it. I really need to practice my listening and speaking skills. I'll try my luck again next time.)
Overall, I think it's a pretty good place.
Oh, and its location is fantastic, right by the Bell Tower. But make sure you exit the correct subway station, or else a directionally challenged person like me will spend almost an hour wandering around trying to find it!

I loved the localization of this hostel. It's inside of the Muslim quarter, so you get the full street food experience and there's a lot to see. I feel like the Muslim quarter was the most lively place in the city, and there's always a reason for it: people like me love it! The rooms were very clean and tidy, I liked that there where places for you to but your stuff in the bed space, it felt cozy. The air conditioner worked well, but turned off after some time, which was not super nice. The bathrooms were kind of dirty, with lots of hair in the ground. I get that people shower in the bathroom, but I noticed that even after cleaning staff had just cleaned, there was still hair, and the bathroom was super wet, making it difficult to use. The staff didn't speak english at all, but used translation devices when necessary, which is ok. Overall, it was a good stay and I would do it again, but there could be more attention regarding toilet cleaning.

Guest UserInitially not as terrible as I had feared despite the low price. The layer of dust I saw when leaving my luggage early (in some corner because there was nobody to talk to) was gone when I checked in later. Place was easy to find (first image, take the elevator to the 5th floor and you're there) and in a very local area. Nice eateries and a small mobile phones and accessories mall turning left then right when leaving the building. Huimin Street and Drum and Bell Towers in walking distance. Free water dispenser and plenty of space in the hostel despite the lack of power outlets at the workspaces. But there comes the problem. The voltage at the power outlet seems elevated, my charger melted and almost caught fire although I used it everywhere else in Asia as well as for several weeks in China already. Other chargers I tried at this place also got extremely hot. They put me in a separate room to prevent another bad review on the potential production of spit, noise, dirt and sometimes even cigarette smoke in the dorms. One bathroom even had a seat toilet. Obviously plenty of smoking in the common area.

A hidden gem nestled at the foot of Xi'an's City Wall! The location is absolutely perfect; step out and you're greeted by a thousand-year-old city wall, instantly setting an incredible mood. The interior is clean and fresh, with complete and well-maintained facilities, making for a very comfortable stay. The service is thoughtful and attentive, with care evident in every detail. It's a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle, offering stunning views of Chang'an (Xi'an's ancient name) at an unbeatable value. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Xi'an!

Located on the second floor next to Luomashi, this place is similar to a university dorm. The sleeping area and washing area are separate, so washing up doesn't disturb those who are sleeping. The transportation is incredibly convenient, making it easy to get to all of Xi'an's attractions. Being right next to Luomashi also means shopping and dining are very accessible. I stayed for three nights and encountered five foreigners, so there's a good concentration of international guests. Each bed has an outlet, a privacy curtain, and a small lamp, which is very convenient. Soundproofing is decent; generally, it's pretty quiet and not too noisy. Next to the front desk, there are slippers for changing into, and you can store your outdoor shoes there, which prevents any odors in the dorm – a nice touch. The bathrooms have disposable toilet seat covers, toilet paper, shower gel, and shampoo, which is good.
Improvements are definitely needed: The impractical trash cans in the women's restroom should be replaced immediately with foot-pedal bins, or the lids should be removed entirely so people can toss things in directly. The current bins are worse than having none at all, as even throwing a hair or a piece of tissue means contaminating my hands. Please install some shelves above the sinks for people to place their belongings, which would also make it easier for the cleaning staff to tidy up the counters. There's a lot of standing water in the showers; improving this would be better. The shower stalls are quite small, and larger individuals might find it hard to turn around, so be prepared for that.

I tried matching the number listed in the confirmation email to the number on the front door of my room, but it didn't unlock, so I ended up having to call Lao Bang.
I felt a bit uneasy and found it quite difficult for a beginner (I had a similar experience).
Although they spoke English, I wondered if it was really necessary to call.
I would have liked some mention of WeChat or something.

This was my first time staying at a hostel, and it was a 10/10 experience! The service was incredibly attentive, thorough, and patient. They even play movies in the evenings, which gave me such a cozy and nostalgic feeling, just like watching films with friends back in school. Lying in bed with my eyes closed, I found myself reminiscing about my dorm days. I sincerely hope Sifang expands and opens branches everywhere!

The environment is good, a three-story building in a large courtyard, with enough space, air conditioning, hot water, etc. The boss and his wife are also very nice. They will help you with anything they can. They knew I was climbing Huashan and gave me a pair of gloves. They rode an electric bike to pick up a parcel for me early in the morning. Don't worry about staying here
