The cleanliness was acceptable and consistent with the hotel’s facility rating. The location was excellent and suited our needs perfectly, as it is located right next to Taipei Main Station and can be reached in less than a 10-minute walk via the underground passage. Breakfast is served on the 6th floor, but there is no lift access, which may be inconvenient for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. However, it should not be a problem for younger guests. Overall, the hotel met our expectations and offered good value for its convenient location.

The room is a bit small and can feel a little stuffy, but since I was out all day and came back late every night, it was fine. The room was clean and tidied daily. The bathroom, on the other hand, was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly. It's close to Gate Z4 of Taipei Main Station. However, thanks to getting lost once, I discovered a closer way into the station – just go into the shop directly opposite across the street (pictured below) and you're in the station.

Great value for money! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff provided excellent service. The location made it easy to get around the city. Perfect choice for travelers looking for an affordable and pleasant stay.

Very satisfied with our stay. Our room is clean, staff are polite and attentive except for one female staff member who gave eyes to their customers. Requests are being entertained, towels are thick, the toilet has a bidet (this is one of the plus points if compared to other hotels), free luggage storage, and of course the location is great. Love the guest area, amenity area, and the laundry facility. Some constructive feedback though: 1. To improve on the soundproofing 2. If we can adjust the air-conditioning temperature. We weren't able to do so, I guess it's centralized 3. That female staff needs some training Overall thank you for providing us a very comfortable stay and keep up the good work! Look for the Z4 exit and you'll just need to walk a few more steps before arriving at the lobby on the ground floor of the Grand Asia Plaza building. And take the lift to Level 7 which is where the hotel reception is located.

The hotel is ok but the room is big. The restaurant in the hotel is a must try. My daughter LOVEs every dishes she ordered. She said, this is the best food she had in Taiwan, so we had two dinners at the hotel. The location of the hotel is not great! We couldn’t get into the local buses to go to Xitou nor to Taichung because the buses were full from the original starting point. However, the hotel offers fare shuttle service to and from Xitou but not Shanlinxi. The front desk lady drove us to Xitou, she was GREAT and very accommodating, she took us to Xitou bus station outside of the normal schedule hours so we can catch the bus back to Taichung. We would come back again with our car to get to different areas in Xitou again.

I traveled alone, and the front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic in guiding me through the check-in process. The room had an en-suite bathroom, and there were also communal bathrooms available. Sometimes, when water usage was high, the en-suite bathroom would run out of hot water, so it's a good idea to shower a bit earlier. During my stay, I accidentally locked my room card inside the locker, making it inaccessible. I quickly contacted the staff, who were very friendly and helped me open the locker so I could retrieve my room card. They didn't even charge me for the assistance. Overall, I think it's excellent value for money. For this price in Taipei, it's a really great hostel.

Room is comfortable even though building is old. There was one small window in the room but it looks out to inside the building. But that was ok since I was there for a concert was mostly out of the room. Did find some hair that was not mine one day after their supposedly cleaned the room. Staff was friendly and helpful though.

This time I brought my wife to Taichung for her birthday, and we stayed at the Norway Forest Cultural Center for the first night. We arrived early to drop off our luggage and immediately experienced the friendly and polite service, which made me feel happy and warm. Although there was a minor issue with the air conditioning in our room when we checked in that evening, the front desk manager came up and helped us switch to a larger and more comfortable room. Their service attitude was also super nice. It's no wonder this hotel has reviews above 9 – it's absolutely deserved. If I have the chance to come again, it will definitely be my first choice! 🥰

A Serious Failure in Management and Guest Service I have never experienced this level of poor service and lack of management oversight at a hotel. Throughout my stay, I had to repeatedly request housekeeping, yet my room was still not cleaned as expected. More seriously, there was even an occasion when I needed to use the bathroom and discovered that there was no toilet paper available. I immediately brought this issue to the attention of the front desk. However, despite making a formal complaint, the exact same problem occurred again the following day. At that point, this could no longer reasonably be considered a simple oversight or an isolated housekeeping mistake. The hotel had already been made aware of the problem, yet nothing appeared to have been done to prevent it from happening again. The most disappointing part is that these issues continued until the day I checked out. After repeatedly reporting the same problems without seeing any meaningful improvement, I eventually stopped complaining simply because I no longer believed that doing so would make any difference. A hotel may occasionally make a mistake — that is understandable. What is unacceptable is failing to correct a problem after a guest has already brought it to management's attention. This reflects a serious breakdown in communication between departments, inadequate supervision, and a lack of accountability at the management level. Basic housekeeping and essential bathroom supplies are not unreasonable requests. They are fundamental standards that guests should be able to expect without having to repeatedly chase the hotel for them. What concerns me most is that the hotel appeared to have multiple opportunities to correct the situation, yet failed to do so. This suggests that the issue is not simply with an individual staff member, but with the way the hotel’s service operations are being managed and supervised. This experience seriously damaged my trust in the hotel and left me with a very negative impression of its overall management and service standards. A hotel’s reputation is built on how it treats guests, especially when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, in this case, the hotel failed not only to deliver basic service, but also to respond effectively when those failures were brought to its attention. I sincerely hope management does not dismiss this as a minor housekeeping issue. The repeated nature of these problems, combined with the lack of effective follow-up, represents a significant management failure and can seriously damage guest trust, customer satisfaction, and ultimately the hotel’s reputation. For me, the most disappointing part was not that a mistake happened. It was that the hotel was given multiple opportunities to fix it — and chose not to.

Very good location, short walk from the Taipei Main station. Plenty of great foods around too! Love how convenient and very central the location is. The downside is that the room is very compact and noise from other rooms or people walking in the corridor late at night can be heard, but overall we had a great stay there!
