FFuguideMOMOlaoshiRoom: The female-only mini single room is essentially a large room divided into many compartments. It's surprisingly spacious, much larger than single rooms I've stayed in Beijing. You can easily open up your luggage. There's a small mirror and a clothes rack. The AC cools down very quickly.
The hallways smell nice and are quite wide.
Special mention: The doors, whether for the rooms or the restrooms, seem to have been treated. They close very slowly, which means they're quiet and you don't get any slamming sounds.
The washrooms are very clean, and the shower stalls even have waterproof screens – excellent!
There's plenty of seating on the first floor, making it convenient for dining. You can order drinks like beer and coffee – the German beer is delicious.
The best part is the reading room on the second floor. It has a great ambiance and is perfect for working – a dream come true for remote workers.
Getting around, whether by taxi, subway, or bus, is incredibly convenient too!
JJun8099I chose this hostel for the Dawn concert on September 13th. It's about a ten-minute walk to Xiaolianhua. The front desk staff, both male and female, were polite and enthusiastic. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, with the shower on the left and the vanity on the right as you enter. The shower pressure was great, and the bed was clean. One of my roommates was smoking, but they stopped after I opened the window to air out the room. Overall, everyone was well-behaved and quiet. Everyone also gets an individual locker with a password lock. Other than a roommate's slightly messy suitcase and a few occasionally using instant noodle cups as ashtrays on the floor, everything else was really good.

QQingqiuruhuatuikeaiThe boss is very nice, and there are two lovely volunteer sisters. It's fun like a dream. The boss and the two lovely volunteer sisters live a loving life by the sea. I like their atmosphere very much. I want to give my cat to the boss sister so that the cat can live a good life. Although it is a youth hostel, it is no worse than a hotel. (The hotels on the island are of varying quality. Instead of spending five or six hundred to find a so-so one, it is better to have the boss sister's youth hostel.) The house is warm and romantic, and there is a breath of life everywhere. It's so romantic to face the sea and watch them paint.
DDadadaliziThe location is pretty good, close to West Lake and the subway station, making it easy to find. There's a 'Xiaohongche' (shared bike station) right downstairs at the entrance. Floors 8-10 all belong to the same establishment, with the front desk on the 9th floor. Floors 8 and 9 are for accommodation, and the 10th floor is for recreational activities. It would be better if the male and female dorms were on separate floors, as currently, there are both male and female dorms on the same floor.
GGuest UserOn the shores of West Lake, I found a hostel I'd happily return to again and again.
To be honest, the name initially caught my attention. But after staying there, I realized the details are what truly make you want to stay.
🛏 Cleanliness: Linens are changed for each guest, and the duvets smell like sunshine. The shower rooms are wet/dry separated, so there's no standing water after showering.
🚽 Surprise: A smart toilet! That's a top-tier amenity for a hostel at this price point.
🎸 Atmosphere: In the evenings, you can hear guitar music in the common area. If you don't feel like socializing, you can just relax and listen to the music. If you want to chat, someone will naturally join in. No one judges you; it's very laid-back.
📍 Location: Right by West Lake, within walking distance, and surrounded by plenty of food options.
Next time I'm in Hangzhou, I'll definitely stay at 'Jian Zhi Er Qi' again.
GGuest UserThis place is fantastic! Definitely the coolest hostel I've ever stayed at. The hosts are great, their daughter is very funny, and it has many rooms although there weren't many other people there at the same time as me. They have a ping pong table, pool table, and fuse ball table in addition to a small theatre room so there's no shortage of things to do in the evening. Unfortunately the bar and music venue downstairs was closed during my stay. The hosts went out of their way to help me plan activities and even took me and another guest to a local concert they had been invited to. They have a cat, two turtles, and fish. The cat doesn't roam freely though so allergies aren't an issue. Would absolutely stay here again!
MM478726****I was really satisfied with the room; it offered great value for money. This guesthouse is quite unique, located within an ancient building. Best of all, there was no formaldehyde smell from renovations, which I'm very sensitive to. While it might be a bit old and small, the overall experience was excellent. They even have their own restaurant, which hosts events every night at 9 PM, like movie screenings, dancing, and releasing river lanterns. The value here is truly unbeatable. Plus, the location is superb – just a 3-minute walk to Lu Xun's Former Residence, right within the scenic area. Highly recommend it, it's really good!
MMaxChongCheck-in staff and in house staff were really patient, respectful, and helpful. Asked them for direction and they kindly searched for it.
This is a dormitory style homestay with shared room and bathroom. We stay in a private room with a private bathroom and toilet.Has hot water with good pressure. Non smoking room. Room is clean but mattress is really old and should be replaced. The tatami layout is nice with a simple sitting area.Recommend for owner to install more clothes hanging hooks for convenience. No tv in room.
They have a large common area with regular and hot water dispenser. Many table and chairs for use.
Location is far from city centre but within 10km by metro. Same distance to the west lake
