My husband and I stayed in a Superior Double Room for two days at the beginning of March. We had a wonderful view of the park and the Eiffel Tower. The room is beautiful to look at, but a little damaged in some parts (for example the shower). The biggest problem of the room was the ventilation system, as it smelled of the drain several times. The cleaner does her job, as she cleans the room daily, but the problem is exclusively ventilation. I might also point out that you can hear the chairs being moved in the bar in the room. I would also suggest that a different choice of breakfast be made every day, as it was the same breakfast twice. However, I would like to conclude by praising the staff, who were friendly at all times.

I don't expect luxury from a hostel, but I do expect cleanliness. On the surface the hostel appears clean. Most importantly, the bed sheets and mattress are clean. However, look beyond that and you'll see it's filthy and obviously never given a deep clean. Down the side of the lower bunk there is what must be months and months of rotten food, old socks, dirt and dust that has been allowed to collect. No wonder the room smells so musty and stuffy. My bunk had blood streaks from a squashed bug (and live mosquitoes flying about), as well as sticky finger prints all over the bed panels and window. Furthermore, the noise level is crazy. I understand on a Friday people want to party so the bar was blasting out music and the 1st floor rooms are not sound proof - I actually didn't mind that. What annoyed me was the fact that they were blasting music through the speakers in the 1st floor toilet/shower rooms. WHY?! This made the room and hallways even noisier. Its only saving grace is the location (and free wi-fi). It can feel a bit dodgy walking through there alone as a single woman at night, but so can any big city... The hostel is close to some great bars, restaurants, and tourist attractions (Père Lachaise Cemetery, for example). I'd recommend hiring a bike to get around - there's quite a few Vélib' bike stations a short walk away.

Maybe depending on the roommates, I couldn't ventilate, and some roommates were calling at the room. But basically it was okay

The rooms were small but clean. There were small cubes where to save your stuff but not even a carry on would fit there. The private bathrooms were ok but there were no towels to even dry my hands on or to step out the shower afterwards, so everything was a bit wet. Sometimes I could not get it into the common bathrooms for some reason and I know I was not the only one (problems with hostel card) We asked whether they could add us all to the same 4-bed room since we were 3. They said they could and afterwards they did not 'by mistake' so this was a bit disappointing. The place in general was awesome, it was very nice, clean, friendly staff. They also have lockers where to store your luggage if needed. Breakfast was a bit expensive but totally worth it. Location was convenient since there is a metro station just around the corner, so it was pretty easy to move around such a big city. I would probably go again.

Had a really good stay there! I went with one friend and we met amazing people! The bar is cheap and nice!! A perfect way to meet new friends from around and from the hostle. I recommend. Our windows was broken and they fixed it! It’s not Wow but it’s still cute! The bathroom is really basic.

This is a Youth Hostel, not a 'backpackers hostel', so while there are plenty of young people staying, there are also families, school trips and older adults. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a private 2 bunk room with shower (no toilet). The rooms are very basic but include a wash basin, and have comfortable beds. There was clothes storage and a table and chairs. It was much larger than hotels I've stayed in in Paris. There were two sockets in the room, which weren't very accessible, but with an EU plug and 3m cable they were fine to charge phones from. The doors were heavy (as in most hotels) and toilets were shared, meaning it could be loud with people moving about at night, however earplugs easily blocked the noise! Breakfast was included, which was a varied and fresh offering. There was also a well equipped guest kitchen with fridges. Guests can use the refectory for socialising and eating meals, there is also a games room/bar with entertainment. The location was in a residential area with good transport links, but also walkable to central Paris in under an hour through other residential neighbourhoods. On Saturdays most intersections had a food or flea market. Ideal for traveling on a budget.

Staying at The People Bercy was a wonderful experience. It was very conveniently located such that while we arrived as well as departed from the city, bus and metro station was just 2 mins walking. You can reach anywhere in Paris from here. Staff was very helpful, hotel was spacious, clean with a pleasant vibe. I and my husband stayed in a private room, it also had a cute little french balcony. Check in and check out was hassle free. Stay was worth every penny! I also cooked noodles in their kitchen, there were dishes that you can use and wash post meal.

Our plane was delayed, so we arrived late and tired and had to wait an hour standing for check-in. When you have to get up early the next day it is unacceptable. The positive point is that we had warned that we would be late, that there would no longer be a shuttle and the necessary arrangements were made to have a taxi wait for us at the airport. The floor of the room was not very clean, we walked barefoot and dust stuck underneath. To top it all off, we had to have breakfast at 6:00 a.m. to leave at 6:30 a.m. with the shuttle and everything was not laid out when we arrived in the lounge. Despite everything the staff is very friendly, it's a shame. It would take 2 people to check in when it is busy and it is late. I hope this comment will help you improve the quality of service.

The hostel was perfect for our visit to the capital. After a somewhat slightly off-putting start (the person at the bar asked us to wait / ignored us so that he could finish his inventory, then told us to go to the cash dispenser and pay the three nights upfront as his card reader was broken), the rest of the stay was good, and the other members of staff were very friendly and professional. We had booked a private double room. It is located on the fifth floor (no lift). The room comprises of a double bed, a low table with two stools, and a shower room. There are coat hooks by the entrance (we had brought coat hangers) and two bins. The windows are double glazed, although the one in the bathroom does not close properly. There are thick curtains in the bedroom which keep the light out when needed. As it's a busy street, the noise from the street below is noticeable, and because the hostel is close to the fire station, there are often some sirens. We can also hear when the other guests open their doors, which are very creaky. So to be fair, our sleep has been disturbed a few times, but it comes with being in Paris - the same happened to me in the past when I stayed at some friends' places. The room came with two towels (one medium, one large) and two small bottles of shower gel. There was also a large toilet roll. The two bins have been emptied daily. There are enough power plugs to charge our devices, and free wi-fi. The floor felt somewhat sticky (we had brought flip flops), but the bed and bathroom were clean (the shower room is rather dated but the bed is comfortable). People had complained about the bleach smell in previous reviews so.i.had brought a scented candle just in case, but it wasn't needed. The bedroom door opens with a card, which needs to be reactivated each time you come in, as the metro can interfere with it. The staff happily does it in a few seconds, as they welcome you in each time. The hostel also has a kitchen if you want to cook, but we haven't tried it. The bar on the ground floor seems to have a good selection of drinks. The area is really nice, with the Metro station one minute walk away, lovely cafes and bars nearby, picturesque canal Saint Martin, and we also found a small street market on Sunday morning not too far away. It is easy to walk to and from the centre of town from the hostel. We felt safe in the streets, there are schools and families living in the neighborhood. All in all, it was the cheapest accomodation we found in Paris at the time, and we felt perfectly safe and at home, in a great location. We would happily go back!

My flight got delayed, so I arrived late to the hostel around 2 AM on the night of March the 10th ”My reservation was from the 9th, so no problem” I seemed to wake up the receptionist who suddenly got busy on phone but had done the check in procedures, I reconfirmed it's a bottom bunk bed ”due to a medical condition, I can't climb” he said Yes Yes.. My room is on the 5th floor, I was fine and asked if there's a lift, he said Yes Yes ”basically was busy on phone and didn't even listen to what I was saying” I went up ”no lift btw but it was okay” to find the bed assigned is on top, and there was only one person in the room! I went down again asking if I can take the vacant bottom bed, then he got mad!! No you can't, wait for my colleague in the morning to see if he can move you. I asked if I can stay at the reception till then, but no it's closed... So I will just stay here in front of the Reception desk I replied. I affirmed I had my request delivered for a bottom bed, there was only one person in the room, so why can't I just get any?! He got very mad; started to call me crazy, and then shifted to the ”I don't speak English” and saying Me NO ME NO ME NO... He then approached very very close waiving threatening with his finger ”saying we are not discriminating you”!!! What? Who said discrimination?!! Then, I started to film his attitude with my cell phone right away as it was that close it gets physical.. He panicked when I started to film and called the police on me and asked me to go spend the night in the kitchen!!! Unluckily for him, I can understand French pretty well but I only speak English... He asked the police to come because I was making a fuss and a scandal. The police arrived like 30 mins later, while me shaking and waiting in front of the desk as he vanished when I started to film. Very Unluckily for him, the police was very supportive to me and they spoke English... When I told them the whole story; they asked him to return my money as long as they didn't adhere to my request for bottom bed, it's a medical condition but he was so rude to them as well saying, It's not his problem! He refused to refund saying tomorrow in the afternoon I come back to his colleagues be refunded. The police stayed with me till I booked another hotel for the night and THEY SAID IT'S NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY RECEIVE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME PERSON but they can't file a case against him since it didn't get physical. While booking an alternative accommodation at 3 AM outside in the street, he called me in to give my money back!! This is a story I wanted to share, a story of lying, aggressive, and rude receptionist. Ah, and to the police; he stated that there's someone taking the bottom bed... While the key of the bottom bed was actually left on the check out tray!!! If you want ur days ruined and both yours physical and psychological health abused and tortured go to this place and deal with this man in particular. I dare their management

The cabin room was actually pretty small & tight to start with. It actually is a 4 bed dormitory divided into 4 cabins (made of wood). There isn't enough space in the room because it's literally just the bed. So you can easily hear what the other person is playing on the mobile. Moreover, the breakfast is pretty basic. The staff at the reception was very helpful, I requested for a late checkout and they helped me.

Le séjour de notre groupe scolaire dans cet hostel fut un désastre ! Nous avons rencontré de nombreux problèmes dès le début de notre séjour, notamment le service de réservation toujours en ”congés” qui répondait avec des délais jamais vu pour un service groupe, et de plus désagréable et non professionnel au possible. Dans l'ensemble, le niveau de service offert par le personnel était très bas, ce qui a rendu le séjour très désagréable. Le pire a été le service après-vente, où nous avons soumis une demande de geste commercial pour compenser les problèmes que nous avons rencontrés : - Douche qui fuyait dans une des chambres : l'auberge a répondu que les élèves l'avait ”cassée” ; c'était la CPE qui logeait dans cette chambre... aucun élève n'y était jamais entré... et on lui a donné une serviette pour éponger au lieu de la changer de chambre ! - Une autre chambre qui ne fermait pas : ils nous ont dit que c'était les élèves qui l'avaient cassés (encore c'est pratique!) alors qu'au check in, ils nous avaient prévenu ne fermait pas. - Il a fallu insister pendant 24h pour qu'il y ait quelque chose de fait, entre temps les occupantes, des filles mineures, ont dormi sans aucune sécurité au sein de l'établissement et le lendemain ont du laissé leurs affaires dans une chambre qui ne fermaient pas. - le petit déjeuner : un croissant réchauffé + une boisson chaude au choix entre du café, du chocolat et... de l'eau chaude, pas un sachet de thé ou autre ! C'est connu, les gens raffolent d'eau chaude le matin. Demande de remboursement d'un enfant malade qui n'avait pas pu venir, on nous a dit que le stock (d'eau chaude et de croissants congelés??) avait été prévu en avance et ne pouvait pas être remboursé. Malheureusement, après avoir essayé par tout les moyens d'avoir un retour qui ne soient pas des allégations mensongères pour justifier leur service médiocre, ce fût peine perdue nous n'avons plus jamais eu de retour du responsable de cet établissement ce qui n'est absolument pas professionnel au delà d'être juste correct. Nous avons même dû redemander plusieurs fois pour avoir la facture finale (et correcte !). Nous avons même essayé de contacter le service après vente du groupe LOUVRE HOTELS mais nous n'avons jamais eu de retour a nos nombreuses demandes : Nous avons bien reçu votre demande, d'ailleurs voici sa référence : **********7. I am very grateful to the friendly and friendly Hadia, which has increased me from the day of booking to 6 days. It takes 1 minute to walk at the 7th subway station. There is a friendly buffet restaurant opened by the friendly Chinese people nearby. Due to my own mistakes, I finally booked one more night. To top it all off, we had to have breakfast at 6:00 a.m. to leave at 6:30 a.m. with the shuttle and everything was not laid out when we arrived in the lounge. Despite everything the staff is very friendly, it's a shame. It would take 2 people to check in when it is busy and it is late. I hope this comment will help you improve the quality of service.
