Hostels in Pest, Hungary

Nice small room perfect for sleeping after exploring the city the whole day. The neighbours don't make too much noise, the hotel is in the city centre so it's close to every major attractions in Budapest. It's also close to the subway. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. I recommend it for someone who wants to spend a weekend or longer in Budapest

The rooms and common areas were really clean! The staff were also very kind! The area around the hotel isn't too dark at night, so it feels safe enough to walk around alone if you're careful, and tourist spots are within walking distance, which is super convenient! There aren't curtains on the beds, but it didn't bother me much. The lockers are secured with your room key!

MP Hostel Budapest was absolutely the most pleasant surprise of my Europe trip! The hostel boasts a prime downtown location, just a 6-minute walk from Blaha Lujza tér metro station. It's surrounded by trendy restaurants, ruin bars, and attractions, making both transportation and nightlife incredibly convenient. While it's a hostel, the rooms are clean and tidy, each with its own private bathroom. The beds are comfortable and offer good privacy, so you won't be disturbed even when sharing a room with others. The front desk service is attentive and thoughtful, available 24/7 to answer questions, and they also offer free luggage storage and city maps. The common areas include a shared kitchen and a bar, perfect for meeting backpackers from all over the world in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I especially want to highlight its excellent value for money; you get the convenience and comfort of a city center location at a low price, which is perfect for budget travelers. Whether you're exploring Budapest's historical sites or experiencing its nightlife, this is an ideal base. Highly recommended for all backpackers! I had a great stay. The staff is very friendly and check-in is quick. Rooms & bathrooms are very clean. Housekeeping is doing a good job. The internet speed is very satisfying. I enjoy the kitchen, which offers plenty of space, well equipped and it even has an oven. I stayed there several times and like it very much. Location is also great, very central and you have all you need just nearby (supermarket, restaurants, snacks/fast-food...) There could be some more activities initiated by the hostel to get people connected. Like cooking, boardgame night, etc...There is a WhatsApp Group, but at the moment I joined the group there were no activities/ chats in the 5 days I've been there.

This is a hotel with excellent value for money. I wouldn't exactly say the bed sheets were very clean. However, the staff were extremely friendly. They came to fix the bathroom power when it went out and even lent me a new hairdryer. They even switched my room because they encountered a problem while fixing it. It is a hotel with very friendly staff and a great location.

Excellent location, walkable to many places in downtown. Restaurants, exchangers and groceries nearby. Metro station Oktogon is right nextdoor. The hostel provides free breakfast, if you spend over 4 euros at the bar at dinner time you also get free dinner. There's a kitchen area in each room unit free to use as well.

It went really well. We arrived in the afternoon and checked in. They were very kind on our last day, holding our luggage for free until we left. The room was nice and clean, and the bathroom had everything (even soap). Perhaps the only downside was that there was only one towel per person, which was a bit inconvenient for washing your hair.

Did not sleep well here at all. There is no privacy in the room, it's not expensive or difficult to put up some sheets or curtains. Very poor effort. It's like sharing a room with your siblings all over again. Very thin walls too so the next door group kept us awake It's supposed to be quiet after 10pm but they all late check in, as a result I was woken by 2am check ins. The socket next to my bed didn't work, neither did the lamp. The pillow is dreadful. The bed is ok. Window didn't close fully and no curtains so sunrise woke me up. Excellent kitchen, comfortable lounge areas, 3 showers & 1 bathroom. All cleaned reasonably well. Check in was easy enough, she is very friendly. The building is absolutely beautiful. The entrance is next to PIZZA ME and a money exchange/kebab store. Supermarkets nearby. Metro & tram nearby. It is in an excellent location. It was cheap and actually good value, I just didn't sleep well If you like privacy and quiet then maybe give this one a swerve

Terrace is awesome, staff friendly. Vacak the cat is awesome too. This hostel is a great option to spend some time on the island, had a good night sleep and it was clean. Often though staff can be missing from the reception during the stated reception hours, and nearby is more of a party scene with few quality dining options. The 400ft Costa coffee capsules aren't exactly good either, so there is some space for improvement compared to some of the newer hostels in town.

Lovely place. Highly recommend! If you’re looking for a proper warm place to stay in budapest, this is definitely your best choice! The room, lobby and kitchen are super clean and tidy. The hotel staffs are welcoming. The location is perfect, where you can find a supermarket within 2 min walk and the tram station within 5 min walk! Also the breakfast are delicious and well-priced! What a great deal!
