Luang Prabang Hostel

Luang Prabang City Center
The hostel is okay (but the room is not cozy), it is close to the morning market. However I had a breakfast included and didn’t get it. The receptionist didn’t pick up the phone when I texted and called. I wanted to rent a bike but also couldn’t because of it. In the morning when me and my friend were waiting for the breakfast, we lost more than 1 hour and then went to the market to buy breakfast despite the fact that it was included in our booking.

The owner of the youth hostel is from northern China and is very hospitable. Conveniently located near Pusi Mountain. Many foreign friends like to stay here. The facilities are complete, clean and tidy, and they are very satisfied with the accommodation experience!
OULAYPHET GUESTHOUSE
4.4/538 Reviews
The Chinese hotel is not recommended. It is actually very convenient to the old town of Luang Prabang. The bridge leading to the old town was washed away by floods and has not been repaired. A ferry is required to cross the river. Although 10,000 kilo per person is not expensive, it is only available at 10 o'clock in the morning. Crossing the bridge It’s a 2.5-kilometer detour, which is inconvenient, and the hotel is average!
Khonesavane Hostel

Luang Prabang City Center
Very comfortable B&B, good value for money, close to attractions, scooters available for rent, and in a great location, close to the best night market we've ever been to for food and quality clothing. The hotel has helpful and friendly staff, laundry service, and booking transfers to the waterfalls and train station.
Ancient Luangprabang Hotel

Luang Prabang City Center
It was comfortable with a calm atmosphere because it was conveniently located and away from the main street. I stayed in another area, but I felt that this area had few mosquitoes. We requested and got it through the second floor of the corner room of the annex, but the terrace here was comfortable, and it was good to slow down while watching the life scenery of the neighborhood in one hand at noon. In the morning, you can also visit the bowl from this terrace. The size of the room with luxurious use of trees and stones is sufficient. I think it's only this room, but there is no partition in the shower room, and I use it to make sure that the water doesn't jump to take a bath. It may be for couples or accustomed couples. The hot water was too hot and came out firmly so difficult to adjust. Staff is also English OK. polite and friendly. Breakfast is American style, not buffet. He gave me a naive but polite service. If you say you want to repeat again, it is a guest house of ”YES”.
Indigo House Hotel

Indigo is fantastic. The room I stayed in 'Peace' was great. Clean, big bed, TV, small fridge, kettle, roomy with space to hang your clothes etc. Bonus was the bath! Can lay in the bath and watch TV if you want. This room was also perfect as it is at the rear of the property making it very quiet. I asked for a rear room as the hotel fronts onto the night markets which operate every night of the week till 10pm so ask for this if you don't like noise. Safe in the room as well. It is a great location as well - walk to all the main sites. The breakfast supplied gives you a few choices - I had the Indigo House - eggs, toast, juice, coffee, mushrooms, and bacon if you want it. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Recommended and would stay again
Y Not Laos Hostel

I don’t usually write reviews and was very skeptical about this hostel when I booked it since it’s so low cost (I paid USD $15 for 3 nights including taxes). I took a chance on it due to all the prior/raving reviews... so here I am writing one in case you have the same doubt! This is a relatively newly opened hostel and on my arrival, Mr Lai Lee put me in a separate room so I can have some privacy to myself. This is such a nice gesture (tho it’s low travel season in Laos), but he didn’t have to do that... the bed and linens are clean and they assured me there will be no cockroaches as I’m terrified of them lol... I saw none during my entire stay here and they kept the common areas very clean at all times. In the morning, they serve you either western style omelette or Lao noodle soup for breakfast which really makes you think if they charged enough for my hotel stay! This hostel is located near the Phou Si Mountain and everything you need in LP. The local restaurant right across the road is excellent too. In mornings I usually chat with Mr Dao and he shared his experience as a novice monk and some local insights with me... it’s really an experience that I would pay triple or more to get and my stay here has been an awesome one. Hope you will too! :)

1950 Luangprabang Hostel

advantage: 1. The location is very good! Convenient transportation! It is very close to the night market, the Grand Palace, and Pusi Mountain. It can be reached in about ten minutes on foot. It also takes 20 minutes to walk to Xiangtong Temple to give alms in the early morning. There is a comprehensive supermarket opposite the exit, which is very convenient. 2. The service is enthusiastic. The owner is a handsome local guy from Luang Prabang. He can speak Chinese and English and has studied in China. He will provide help according to the customer's needs, such as booking cars to scenic spots, exchanging coins, etc. The other customer service staff at the front desk all have young faces and bright smiles. They all speak English or a little bit of Chinese and answer all questions, which makes people feel very comfortable! 3. The hygiene is also good. Disinfected slippers and bath towels are provided. The mattresses and pillows are quite comfortable. Public spaces are cleaned in time and there is no odor. It's not adjacent to the main street, so you can open the sleeping compartment door and it's an independent space, very quiet. There are electric fans and ventilation fans in each warehouse, so you won't feel stuffy. There is also air conditioning in the large room outside. 4. The front desk is also a coffee bar. Authentic Laotian coffee beans are freshly ground and made, which is convenient for friends who like to drink coffee. Disadvantages: The public space is a bit small, the stairs and aisles on the upper and lower floors are relatively narrow, the washing area and bathroom need to go down several narrow stairs, and the shower needs to go up several narrow stairs, the bed sheets and quilt covers are not pure cotton, and there are some small facilities There are also shortcomings. However, the shop owner listens to suggestions with an open mind and can feel that the shop owner is doing things with heart. The new business has just opened. I believe that the shop owner will provide better services to customers in the future!
