Very well located bereeen Upper West Side and Harlem and close tò the tube, beds provide you with as privacy as a shared room can do. Vatious plagues available at the couch (mine were not working but they changed my bed on the spot). Reasonable priced lunch and dinner plates.
The plus was the opportunity to have a shower on the leave coming along with the 5 dollari loker I hired after leaving the room.

soysamThe deluxe single room has a nice interior, equipped with a fridge and a safe. Although the bathroom is shared, it's a private unit that requires a key card to access. Being on the top floor, the view is quite good.

This is a no friils, basic motel. If you're trying to save money on your lodging while traveling to New York City & surrounding areas, this is a great place to stay to save money. The motel is close to various local amenities as well as the Metro North train station. Taking the train will bring you to Grand Central Station in heart of NYC - Manhattan, in 30 minutes. I found the room, bed, linens and the bathroom to all be clean. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, mini drip style coffee maker, TV and a small desk. The bathroom had clean towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner. Though it was a bit cramped. The stand-up shower was great with good water pressure and plentiful hot water. There is parking in front of each room and it was fairly quiet. Again, this is a budget motel. So if you're not looking for anything fancy, I would recommend this place. Can't beat the price for being so close to NYC.

I thought it was a really relaxing place. Since June 5th, I have stayed several times in a row. I stayed for almost a month, but it is very convenient because there are restaurants, a market, and a convenience store nearby. Good location. After all, it's safe and secure, and it feels like a little sure house with a round on each floor. I want to use it again.
The staff were all very kind. The front door is also safe with a security door. I was relieved with a security door that could not be easily invaded from the outside.

Staff were very welcoming and supportive, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a cheaper place to stay in Upper West Manhattan.
One thing the beds could use is curtains, for privacy, and chargers, bunks like the latest Hostel International designs. I stayed in the private room during the week, so I'm not sure what the larger dorms are like.

Josh was a very friendly host. Checkin/Checkout was a breeze. As was the swimming pool. Large (for a motel), perfect for a proper swim and relaxation after a long drive.
The room was decent. Yes, it's old school, and the bed is on the very soft side (if you prefer more firm beds, you might not like it), but it was clean, and all worked as it should.
The shower head is fantastic. If you like a perfect water pressure, you'll love to refresh here.
There is a petrol station nearby, as well as a local diner. For more than that, you'll have to drive to one of the nearby villages (5-10min drive)
tl;dr: All great, would stay again. Bed mattress is very soft.

This hotel appears to have recently refurbished its rooms. Everything in the room and bathroom was new looking and clean. We had a king bed, which was nice but did not give much room on the sides, but it was adequate. The breakfast was very simple: 2 dry cereal choices, some package oatmeal, breads and small muffins, 2 juices, milk. Unfortunately the 'dining area' is in the reception area and only has 3 tables, despite many more rooms. It would have been nice to have a picnic bench or two outside for people to sit and chat or have breakfast. But the price was right and the rooms good. Surrounding hotels were trying to charge $300 and above.

We check-in very late around 4:00am due to our late flight and 1 missing piece of luggage. Got our room promptly, but the bath tub was choke and dirty. Tried to change our room, but was told that there was no other available room, but they sent someone to fix it in the morning.
The hotel is pretty basic, more for people with own transport.
Location wise, there is not much around the area, but we found Denny's within walking distance. There are a couple of other eating places as well, though we didn't try them.

Important: Bring your own lock and plastic slippers.
Check-in convenience: Quick check-in.
Safety: Located near Central Park, the main gate is locked at night; you need to ring a bell to enter, so it's relatively safe.
Facilities: The common areas are quite large. The bedrooms are capsule-style rooms with doors that can be closed, ensuring ample personal space. There is no elevator.
The communal kitchen is downstairs; it's a bit small, but it has a kettle. The rooms have radiators, but they weren't turned on at all, so it was quite cold in winter. Only one blanket was provided, so I slept in a sweater.
The shower room is small, with limited space for clothes, only a few hooks.
Cleanliness: Okay.
Environment: Close to the subway and Central Park.
Service: Okay. Free luggage storage is available.
