The West Side YMCA is definitely a no frills place to stay, but the location is excellent. You're right next to Central Park and Columbus Circle. Times Square is an easy walk south. We stayed in 2 different rooms. The first had a bunk bed and was quite small, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. It also had a small TV and fridge. We had a semi-private bathroom, which was down the hall. This meant we had to scan our key on one of the bathroom doors to get in, but once inside we had privacy while we got cleaned up. The bathrooms were kept clean and tidy. We were able to upgrade the second half of our stay to a room with a larger bed and an in room bathroom. Again, this hotel is no frills. It can be rough around the edges, but it's clean and comfortable at the end of a long day of sightseeing. We did not have time to take advantage of the gym, the pool, the sauna, and stuff like that, but they looked nice. I'd recommend the West Side YMCA. If you're visiting NYC, you should be out doing stuff, not sitting around the room. It was everything we needed it to be.

The cafeteria offered a delightful selection of freshly baked goods and various beverages, making it a pleasant spot to unwind. While I explored nearby Bodegas for budget-friendly groceries, the hostel's public kitchen became my go-to for preparing breakfast and dinner. Although the communal kitchen occasionally suffered from post-use neglect, the dedicated hostel staff ensured it remained clean and well-equipped. The cleanliness of the shared facilities extended to the toilets, which were consistently well-maintained and stocked with amenities. This attention to hygiene contributed significantly to a positive overall experience. Despite booking a bed in a 12-bed room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and the daily cleaning routine carried out by the diligent hostel staff. Adding to the positive experience, the Hi New York hostel's location proved to be exceptionally convenient for exploring major destinations. The hostel's close proximity to a subway station, just a 2-minute walk away, made traveling around the city a breeze. This accessibility enhanced the overall convenience of my stay, allowing me to easily reach and explore various attractions without any hassle. The strategic location near the subway station was undoubtedly a valuable asset for anyone looking to make the most of their time in the city. In essence, Hi New York hostel provided a comfortable and budget-friendly accommodation option with its friendly staff, convenient amenities, and well-maintained communal spaces. My stay was marked by a harmonious balance of affordability and quality service.

is ok, fairly clean, friendly and helpful stuff, 24 hours reception, can check-in at any time. next to the train track, very noisy, AC inside the room but makes noise, you cannot sleep without earplugs, unless terribly tired like I was. Felt very safe in the area, I arrived at 02:00 am using the subway, and left 03:00 am with no problems. shop right next to the hostel. across the road other shops for food which are cheaper, only a short train ride to the main attractions. Large kitchen, 2 large fridges, pool table, large seating area in the basement too noisy because of the train track next to the window, noisy AC, no lift, steep stairs, cleanness of toilets was not to the best.

Easy check in and check out system. Clean room, but bit uncomfortable getting to the top bunk, but that is a minor inconvenience. Would advise to wash blankets as it was a bit smelly and seemed that mine wasn’t washed before my arrival. Nice kitchen area to rest and eat.

Well located in Upper West Side, close to Central Park and to the 87th subway station of line 1.

I'm suprised I did not kill myself during my stay here. I know you get what you pay for, but its a difference between choosing a simpler place to live and living in a place that is filthy. Never in the history of mankind have there been a dirtier place than this. If it looks like someone through up on your wall, the cleaning is not good at all (or rather not excisting at all). Extremly small rooms with no inside roof, so you hear everything your neighbours do. The one reason I choose this place rather than a hostel was the private rooms, but its not private at all. You would get moore privacy if you slept on the street. The bathrooms have no toilet paper and don't seem to have been cleaned since the bathrooms were built (and believe me, this building is old). I'm suprised its even legal to have a place like this, its just a hughe health hazard. Even though its cheap, you dont get what you pay for, even if they would pay you to stay here, you still would not get your moneys worth. I have been to a lot of places all over the world an stay at places with the same price range, and even the worst one of those have been much better than this. Thank you for reading, now i'm going to pray and thank God that I against all odds survived my stay at this place.

I booked a room at the last minute after my flight was cancelled, and was so impressed with everything about The Local. They were so helpful and accomodating, from my initial phone call, to letting me check in early when a room became available, to booking a cab to the airport early in the morning, at their discounted rate. The Local is situated near the iconic Gantry Park, and is walking distance from shops and sights. The rooms are well designed and super clean, and the lobby has everything a traveller needs, from computers, printer, charging area to a bar area, comfy couches, local art...and my favourite: a roof top lounge area with views of the NY skyline and Queensborough Bridge. I highly recommend staying here!

This Hotel was amazing, the staff was friendly and accommodating to me and my daughters for the two days we stayed in town to visit their mom and brother at oishei children’s hospital, definitely a five Star place

The hotel is in a good location, 14 minutes drive from the Grand Falls. There are also many restaurants nearby, no need to drive, there are many things to eat in 10 to 15 minutes, and there is a supermarket next to it.

I had an overall good experience staying at the Kama Central Park, during my weekend getaway to NYC. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful, especially since I was a ***** who accidently booked a stay at a women's only dorm on Agoda (especially since Agoda didn't really specify that the hostel had Men only dorms, female only dorms and mixed dorms, and when I booked there was only one kind of dorm available) and they were still willing to accommodate me and they did. I got in about 15 minutes before check in and they still booked me in too, which was great. I really got only a couple of negative things to say about my stay and the first was they only give you one towel for your entire stay since they're pretty short on towels, so if you plan on staying there I'd recommend you bring a couple of towels of your own. The other thing is the showers aren't all the same quality. I wouldn't recommend showering in the one person bathroom especially if you get dorm 506 like I did because the water in that shower is cold. The men's shower on that floor however is better (apart from that one always running) because the water isn't cold but not really hot either, it's just ok. I liked the little console in the bed, and that let's you turn on the airflow, change the light color, dim the lights, etc. as long as you got your card. I'll also admit, I got a little worried for leaving my luggage in the bed because the doors to the bed pod, because the bed doors don't lock, but if you keep your belongings in the bed with the doors shut and out of plain view then you shouldn't worry about anybody stealing your belongings. I had a great time in NYC, but if you stay there then you might want to remember to bring a couple of towels and shower in the shower rooms, not the bathroom in your dorm.

A typical American breakfast, you can have enough, the front desk is very good, and you can pick up hot water and coffee at any time. Although the surrounding environment is not prosperous, it is not far from the city center. Walk to Times Square for about 15-20 minutes and walk to Central Station for about 30-40 minutes.

Not my first time making a visit to this hostel and I'd happened to enjoy my stays at the NY Moore. One of the best Hostel in NY right now and I'd recommend and use it when I am consulting or on a project for a client. The murals and the space are by far the best. The location has nearby ramen spots so google search. Knickerbocker isn't fair and if you looking for food trucks, that is also nearby. The bedroom is always nice and has a good amount of space for each visitor to the hostel. There is free wi-fi and Netflix (Oh my panda) for some of you Netflix junkies out there (HAHA) But you will have a good time here and the best part is ” handicap accessibility for those looking for a hostel with options, Not many hostels have that option. Nice kitchen to cook your meals and diner space as well. STAFF is awesome and we love ramen on at the NY Moore, LOL

The location of the hotel is wonderful, the back of the hotel is situated in the Niagara parc, so the falls are in walking distance. The beds are very comfortable, rooms are clean and good. Staff is very friendly. Only one thing the coffee was bad, we love espresso coffee, fortunately we are prepared and have our own espresso coffee with us.

This place was a great find, with a perfect location to the Falls! Step out the door, cross the street, and the Falls await you. Breakfast is included, and it was quite yummy. We liked it so much, we decided to have dinner there on our second night, and it did not disappoint. You will be hard pressed to find a better place to stay on the New York side of Niagara Falls!

This is a value-for-your-money budget hotel, very conveniently located. We spent one night there. All the rooms were occupied... mostly families, but the place was very quiet. We felt very safe here. The owner was welcoming & friendly and shared information on things we could do there. The room was clean and had a breakfast basket waiting - muffins, banana, fruit juice & water. Some reviewers have complained about the breakfast, but i think, for the money we have paid to stay here, this is decent breakfast... enough to fill you up & get you going. The bed was very comfortable, too. The bathroom needs a facelift, but apart from that, we really liked this low- budget place & will definitely stay here again.

Small, very clean, and comfortable. The staff are super nice. It’s an older property, but well maintained. If you’re looking for a comfortable, clean place to sleep for a good value, this is it. I really like this place! I’ll DEFINITELY be back.

Came to Moonlite Motel from Canada with my daughter for a shopping trip. Motel is perfectly located to the outlet mall, Target, Hobby Lobby, Ollie’s and any other shopping you’d want to do. Motel was very clean, although as others have mentioned, there is a very strong scent of cleaning products in the room. Our room had a security latch for the front door, which made us feel even safer in the room. Rooms look just like the photos. Bed was VERY comfortable and pillows were like what you’d find at a higher end place. Pool was great, and the pool area was very nice to relax at. The pool definitely made my daughter’s trip!! Staff were very friendly and helped us book the short, free shuttle bus to the falls. We used the coupons from the office to get $10 off plus free parking at the Rain Forest Cafe. Overall, great, clean, friendly, kid-friendly place. Will definitely return for our next USA shopping trip!

Called ”Aarya Hotel”, this is a worn, tired motel right on Niagara Falls Blvd. We stayed here years ago and were pleased with our stay (wrote a positive review in 2016). This time, it was a massive disappointment. The good things about the motel: Air conditioning worked, staff were pleasant, bed was okay, ice machine worked. The bad things: 1. No towels at all in the room at check-in. Only a tiny bit of toilet paper, no spare roll, no ice bucket, broken luggage rack. When we asked at the desk, we were given two bathtowels and a floor mat - no hand towel, no face cloth. We were staying for two nights - toss us a handtowel, please. 2. The room also had a single hook in the bathroom - no dresser, no closet, no hooks anywhere else. When we arrived, there was an ironing board set up next to the sink - that was the only place you could hang your coat or stack your stuff. 3. No chair. 4. TV didn't work. We were asked to wait for a technician. Later in the evening, we were told the tech was unavailable and to be fair, we were then offered a different room. At that point, we just decided to go out to a movie - hanging in the room was pretty depressing. 5. Carpet and floor were dirty. Not visibly dirty since the flooring is a dark colour, but I walked from the bed to the bathroom. When I took off my socks, they were filthy on the bottom. 6. Bathroom was not great - mould on the shower curtain, hole in the floor and the shower leaked all over the room. Needs some basic maintenance. 7. The 'breakfast' was horrible. No fruit, no yoghurt, no pastries or bagels. They used to have a wafflemaker, but that's long gone. There is a juice machine that shows Apple or Orange juice, however, 3 of the 4 buttons just sprayed water. If you guessed correctly, one button dispensed watery orange juice. They had white bread or grocery store mini muffins. There was also cereal in a dodgy-looking plastic dispenser, but no milk. Coffee and tea were available, but we didn't bother. 8. Pool was okay - I've seen worse. Wasn't heated, needed a skim and a vacuum, but not horrible. 9. Junk stored by the pool and the office - had quite a collection of Target/Tops shopping carts. Not sure why, but not a great look. And if the management was okay with stealing shopping carts, how safe was the stuff in our room? 10. Office was locked at all times, which meant that it was a hassle to get a towel, or TP, or an ice bucket. The bell was answered promptly, but it was one more roadblock. Again, not sure why the door was locked during the day. I really wanted to like this place because we try to support local/independent businesses rather than chains all of the time, but our stay was a disappointment. It's like the owners have just given up figuring that people will have to stay there during peak tourist season.
