Hot Springs Hotels in Hebei, China

On my way back to Beijing, I passed through Thaiwoo and decided to stay a night. Due to sleep considerations, I chose the Nanshanli Hotel, which is located further inside the scenic area. It was indeed very quiet at night, allowing for a good night's sleep. The room came with a private balcony offering a pleasant mountain view, which was lovely. The room package included breakfast, buffet dinner, afternoon tea, and a circus show. Breakfast was quite crowded on weekends, so I recommend going early or towards the end. The buffet dinner had a good variety of dishes, and I suggest going earlier if possible for better taste. Afternoon tea consisted of four snacks and two cups of Gaiwan tea, which was decent. I didn't get to see the circus show due to time constraints, but I think children would enjoy it. It happened to be a weekend, so there were a lot of people. The environment was great, and I plan to visit again during the off-peak season if I get the chance. The air at night was incredibly fresh and cool.

I stayed here with my parents and my dog. The front desk contacted me in advance and added me on WeChat, sending the address beforehand, which was very helpful. A big thank you to Xiao Xu! We arrived on Saturday afternoon and were able to check in a bit early, which was very considerate of them. My dog was treated wonderfully throughout our stay, and the atmosphere was great. The hotel has a large lawn and a gentle slope behind it, filled with flowers. Sitting on the balcony, soaking up the sun, and looking out at the blue sky, green landscape, and flowers really gave us a vacation feel. The location is a bit far from Cable Car No. 4. You need to take a shuttle bus, but dogs aren't allowed on it, so we had to walk. It wasn't too far though, about an 8-minute walk. The entrance to the underground parking garage is quite narrow, but it's spacious once you're inside. Too many people park on the street, making it very crowded. I think if you're staying here, it's best to park underground to make it easier for others to get in and out.

The room was spacious, easily accommodating our family of four, including elderly parents and a child, with its separate bedroom and living area. It even had a kitchen with a washing machine and dryer, and a large refrigerator, just like at home, which was perfect for storing food, and keeping drinks and snacks chilled or frozen in summer. The hotel is very close to the town center, practically right downstairs. Just a few steps away are the dining and commercial streets. It's close to KFC, and there are also many Chinese restaurants and food trucks, with all sorts of entertainment options concentrated here. The best part was the hotel's hot springs, with multiple indoor and outdoor pools. The outdoor ones felt really pleasant and not stuffy. They lit up at 7 PM, creating a lovely ambiance. It was also very convenient to access the hot springs directly from the hotel corridor. The hotel breakfast was predominantly Chinese, and quite filling.

For a hotel of this caliber, I'd say it's pretty good. The location is excellent, right next to the beach. Breakfast was plentiful, and the service was prompt. Zhao Ying at the front desk was very helpful, answering all my questions patiently and thoroughly. However, there were quite a few issues with the details: When we booked the table tennis club, we assumed it was part of the hotel's facilities. To our surprise, after the 'person in charge' arrived, they asked us to switch to another table with noticeable damage. That wouldn't have been a big deal, but then the 'person in charge' and three teammates started playing on the table we had just vacated. My family then started using a robot practice machine, but we were stopped and told that we had only rented one table. With just one minute left on our time slot, we were 'precisely' reminded that our time was up. To keep my family happy, I didn't say anything, but I have to wonder: if both tables were the same, why were we made to switch? And if they weren't the same, why wasn't the price different? This is the first time I've encountered such a situation at a hotel, and I'm not even sure if this is under hotel management's purview. The overall room hygiene was acceptable, but there was always a urine smell in the toilet cubicle. The hot spring pool in the small courtyard was full of fallen leaves, clearly not cleaned for a long time. The door to the courtyard was warped, making it difficult to open and close, and the sensor light kept turning on by itself, so we had to block it. There are many steps throughout the hotel, and some of them lack accessible ramps. Even where ramps exist, they are so steep that they wouldn't be practical for people with disabilities. I hope the hotel can improve on these points and continue to get better.

Excellent location, it feels like the hotel is built right on the beach. I've been coming here every year since it opened. The environment is fantastic, and the surrounding attractions are great, especially Xigang Garden – a must-visit for photos. The hotel service is attentive, the rooms are spacious and bright, and the buffet quality is very good. Nearby, you'll find convenient dining options, supermarkets, and pharmacies. The hotel's own sea-view restaurant has an unbeatable location, of course. The private rooms, tea area, and main dining area are separate, showing great attention to detail. The dishes are excellent too, offering superb value for money! Because it's so good, I extended my stay! I hadn't had enough, so I booked another night. I really wish I could stay forever – it's so relaxing and unwinding, I didn't want to leave!

I booked this place for a friend, and the overall experience was excellent. Xiao Hao was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, making all the arrangements in advance and responding promptly. The rooms were clean and tidy, with comfortable furnishings and a tranquil environment, perfect for relieving travel fatigue. The location is convenient, and the price is excellent. My friend was very satisfied throughout the stay and would definitely book again. I highly recommend it for any trip!

Regarding service: The hotel butler was responsive and had a great attitude! However, some of the amusement park rides within the complex were chaotic and largely unmanaged (for example, at the rafting queue, staff would only symbolically ask people to queue, but without actual management, everyone just scrambled for rubber rings). Also, getting around between accommodations wasn't very convenient, with a lot of detours. Regarding facilities: The amusement facilities themselves were quite good. Regarding cleanliness and environment: Given the large crowds during the summer, some aspects of the environment and cleanliness weren't perfectly maintained, which is understandable. Overall, it was still decent. We stayed in a room in the hot spring area, and I saw them genuinely changing the water in the pools at night. In the morning, the hot spring water was very clean! Other notes: It was incredibly crowded, and a bit disorganized (Qilihai is much better managed). The overall experience was just so-so. I suggest the hotel optimize its management to improve the guest experience.

Changling Yudao Resort Family Trip – A Real Experience From May 31st to June 1st, our family of three visited Changling Yudao Resort in Nandaihe. Overall, the value for money was excellent, making it perfect for short trips with kids. Here's a full breakdown of our stay and activities: **1. The pricing was incredibly fair and didn't feel inflated at all, making it very family-friendly. **2. Plus, there were continuous special performances: * **Stunt Stage Show:** Impressive scale with amazing sound and light effects, providing an excellent visual experience. * **Stunt Car Show:** Thrilling and exciting, with fantastic sound, light, and electric effects creating an immersive atmosphere. * **'Chi Wen Jiu Jiu' Bubble Event:** An immersive bubble ocean that the kids absolutely loved. * **Exclusive 'Silver Tickets' from the hotel:** We used these for traditional games like ring toss, beanbag toss, and 'touhu' (pitch-pot), winning more 'silver tickets' to exchange for other activities. It was a lot of fun! * **Petting Zoo:** Perfect for kids who love small animals. * **Brand New Water Park (opened June 1st):** Featured a full range of water activities, as well as outdoor fun like big grass slides. The variety of activities was impressive. **3. Clean and Comfortable Accommodation, Exceptionally Warm Service** The guest rooms were neat and clean, and we even received complimentary fruit upon check-in – thoughtful details that made a difference. After a full day of playing, the park's sightseeing buggies were incredibly convenient; you just waved, and they stopped for you. We happened to meet the hotel's Deputy Sales Director, who actively asked for our feedback on accommodation, entertainment, and dining, and even gave us a thoughtful small gift. Although the hotel's standard checkout time was 12 PM, the kind sales staff extended it to 1 PM for us, showing great flexibility and understanding. **4. Excellent Pre-Arrival Service, Smooth Entry Process** The day before our arrival, a sales representative proactively contacted us via WeChat to confirm our itinerary and accommodation details. They also helped us arrange entry QR codes in advance, saving us from queuing at the entrance. The entire entry process was smooth and hassle-free, and the sales staff was enthusiastic and responsible. **5. Reasonable Dining Prices** The prices within the park were very reasonable, without much markup. The free buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including various hot stir-fried dishes, with both taste and selection being excellent. **6. There were many service staff diligently cleaning and even helping to look for children. Overall, Yudao Resort offers a wealth of activities, thoughtful service, and affordable prices. It's incredibly family-friendly and highly recommended for families planning a short getaway with their children.

In my leisure time, I enjoyed a hot spring to relax and unwind, which was perfect for a summer vacation.
