Staying at the Jiangye Resort Hotel was such a pleasant experience. The front desk staff were warm, patient, and incredibly attentive. They even gave me a free room upgrade! The room itself was clean and comfortable, and they provided a complimentary, delicious, and nutritious breakfast. The surrounding environment was also lovely. Overall, it felt very welcoming and offered great value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again next time.
This is a great hotel that's not only well-designed but also provides excellent service.
The hotel offers a convenient buggy service from the lobby to all the rooms, and the concierge staff are very responsible and polite.
The bedding is comfortable and clean. The bathroom design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also thoughtfully provides privacy.
We were a party of three, so we requested an extra bed, which was already set up for us before we even arrived.
The private hot spring pool was sanitized, making it comfortable and reassuring to use. We could even enjoy views of Dongfengyun directly from our room's hot spring – absolutely fantastic!
My only minor suggestion would be to offer a wider variety of dining options.
**Dongfengyun Characteristic Town Tickets and Sightseeing Car Tickets:** The hotel's sightseeing car offers direct pick-up and drop-off to the scenic area, which is very convenient.
**5 Retouched Digital Photos for Travel Photography (advance booking required):** The photo quality was excellent, and the photographer was very professional 👍. The composition and pose guidance were spot-on. I loved them so much that I paid to purchase additional unedited photos.

Starting from good things. Room with private hot spring was nice and clean and bed and bed linen was great. Despite hot spring pool was leaking and needed to refill constantly. But no problem with that if water supply is turned on and you can operate yourself with valves. Hotel staff recommended many places for eating outside. Thanks for that!
We arrived before check in time and asked to spend our time near the pool area which was not problem. When I was looking for toilet then lady from shop told to me that I should go outside the territory and use toilet which is for camper van people. And it was not toilet but old school ditch. Fortunately it was cleaned.
Lot of things are in real life different than in pictures what you can find in web pages. Many hot springs was closed, on site was not operating restaurants and bars. Only you can order food from app or go outside. Area is under the airplanes take off route that means in daytime lot of noise.
About 6pm domestic water supply was turned off and situation lasted until our leaving next day about 11am. Hotel staff wrote that if you want to use toilet I should let them know and they will find a solution. No shower or washing. Breakfast was simple. In the breakfast area is operational coffee machine but for some reason lady behind the table told that not possible and drink cold pre brewed ice coffee? I hope that it’s not connected with lack of water supply. Machine may be filled with purified bottle water not local tap water.

The environment is absolutely stunning. You can lie in your room and gaze at the snow-capped mountains. The hotel feels like a private estate, with lush plants, its own little stream, and charming bridges, creating a serene and beautiful atmosphere. I particularly want to highlight the hotel's service. I unfortunately fractured a bone during this trip, and throughout my stay, whether it was changing rooms, dining, ordering takeout, or getting around, I received family-like care and assistance. I'm incredibly grateful for their help.

Immersed in the breezy tropical tranquility of the Lancang River.
The moment I checked into the Jiangyu Jiangxia Hotel, I was blown away by the expansive views of the Lancang River.
The heated rooftop infinity pool was a highlight of my trip – the azure mosaic tiles blend seamlessly with the river, and palm and banana trees unfurl their tropical charm by the poolside.
I ordered a floating afternoon tea, and a wicker tray carrying cream cake and freshly cut fruit gently drifted over to me with the subtle ripple of the water.
Sunlight filtered through the coconut leaves, casting shimmering golden reflections on the champagne flutes. The cool water washed away the afternoon heat, leaving only a sense of languor and serenity.
As evening approached, the sunset painted the river honey-gold, the buildings of Gaozhuang across the bank lit up with warm light, and the distant bridge lights strung together like a river of stars. The evening breeze, carrying the moist scent of the river, brushed through my hair. In that moment, I understood the true meaning of 'luxury' – a perfect blend of nature and relaxation.
Returning to the room at night, the minimalist grey-toned space featured a unique design aesthetic with a镂空(镂空 should be translated as 'cut-out' or 'openwork' to describe the staircase) cut-out art staircase colliding with curved archways.
Lying on the large bed with crisp white bedding, I fell asleep to the white noise of the flowing river, and even my dreams were steeped in tropical gentleness.

Stepping into the courtyard, the blue tiles and white walls, reflected by the gentle flow of water around wooden corridors, immediately strike you. The charm of traditional Naxi architecture blends with modern minimalist design, creating a unique and delicate atmosphere. Every photo you take here turns out to be a stunning, naturally filtered shot.
The details in the room are truly captivating. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows bring the scenery of distant mountains and nearby alleys right into your space. You wake up to the morning sun and fall asleep to the soft glow of the ancient town at night. The custom-made cotton and linen bedding is soft and gentle on the skin, and the smart devices and thermostatic shower in the bathroom instantly melt away any travel fatigue.
My favorite spot is the cafe on the second floor, perfect for an afternoon tea.
The hotel's service is incredibly thoughtful. In the morning, they offer a special, authentic, and delicious rice noodle breakfast! They even provide a late-night snack; when we were out in the evening, the staff thoughtfully prepared a sweet white fungus soup for us.
This was the most relaxing and considerate part of my Lijiang trip.

Facilities: The decor is a bit old-fashioned, but it's well-maintained.
Cleanliness: It was kept very clean.
Environment: It's a garden-style hotel, but the experience really depends on the room. Not all rooms have balconies; some face residential buildings, which isn't ideal.
Service: Although there was a slight unpleasantness, the hotel responded quickly, showing they value their corporate and brand image. The butler's response time was slow. For other trips to Yunnan, the butlers at two other hotels in Dali provided a much better guest experience.
Breakfast: Doesn't live up to the brand; the variety is a bit limited.
Among the five hotels we experienced during our Yunnan trip, we all agreed this was the standout!
1. Having stayed at numerous branded hotels, this was the first time we were met by a concierge right as we pulled into the parking lot. A fantastic touch!
2. There was a great selection of dining options; we opted for the restaurant/bar. Even at 9 PM, the food was absolutely delicious and fresh, with no compromise on quality.
3. It was a family member's birthday during our visit, and the hotel thoughtfully sent up a complimentary birthday cake!
The only point for improvement concerns the swimming pool. It was simultaneously open to external training classes, which meant it got quite crowded. As a result, the water quality was noticeably poor, appearing yellowish and cloudy.
The highlight of this hotel is the breathtaking view from the room. The hotel ambience feels homey and comfortable. I rarely write reviews for my trips, but this hotel truly won my heart with its welcoming service and friendly receptionists. What surprised me the most was the hotel driver, Mr. Mars, who offered to take us to Dali Railway Station free of charge. As we needed to catch our train, he did his very best to get us there as quickly as possible. What an amazing and unforgettable service! Thank you, Mr. Mars..you truly made our day with your warm and thoughtful service.

Oh my goodness I have never stayed in a place like this! We live in a noisy city and come here felt like being in heaven. So peaceful and quiet. Our kids loved trying to catch fireflies in the night. We took a walk quite a distance from our cabin towards the hills and came back whrn it was pretty dark. We were able to see the milky way galaxy across the sky and so many stars that the only other place we ever saw tjat many stars was back in my country in the village with no light pollution. Words cannot describe the tranquility of this placed the magnificence of nature and the peace and quite. The nights are so dark and quiet, felt like being somewhere in wild savanna. I heard some sounds of animals I had never heard before. We will seriously make this place our frequent holiday detination for peace and quiet, nature and mental healing. There were quite a number of activities for the kids but our kids were too young to participate. We were just quite happy going for walks and watching the stars at night. The grass looked so inviting and we wanted to roll down the hills hahaha but it was all fenced, which makes sense for safety. We heard there was a heard of elephants nearby. We also loved in when it rained, the sound of raindrops on the leaves outside and on our leaves. It’s definitely a place for poets and writers, artists and creative people. I was truly inspired and I mostly sat outside when the babies were napping, and read my Lord of the rings book that I took with me, as that place reminded me of hobbit-land and magic. Coffee lovers must go, we had as many cups of coffee as we liked. They also offered us hotpot for dinner and lunch.
Thr view of the Snow Mountain greets you upon arrival at the hotel. Nice! The villa and hotel are well-appointed and the heated flooring is extremely welcome feature though I wonder why they didn't offer the heated toilet seat which is now a feature even in the family-run hotels in Shangri-la. We were given one of the furthest villas and had to rely on buggy service throughout the stay. So,I'd advise you check your villa location. The breakfast is sumptuous and food is overall respectable. What I find to be lacking is the absence of warmth from the service staff. They are not rude but it felt like they were just doing their job professionally. A few times I encountered issues and the first service staff assigned was unable to support. Compared to the rest of my last few hotels, they were rated the lowest in this area. So I'd recommend this hotel to those who just want to enjoy a great value stay and can be totally self-sufficient chilling in their rooms.
We enjoyed our stay at the Shangri-La Impression Tianxuan Hotel. It’s location offers a perfect space to relax and unwind, but do bear in mind that you may want to stock up on anything you need before you head to the hotel as there are not many places nearby. The room and public areas of the hotel were great. Breakfast is minimal but sufficient. The pool is nice but needs better maintenance. I went to go in it on the last day and there were a lot of insects floating on the top and a lot of debris at the bottom. Not nice. Also, we didn’t see anybody when we came to check out. This is a shame as it would have been nice to thank you for a pleasant stay.
Our stay in this luxury bedroom suite was a memorable experience, largely due to the exceptional accommodations. The suite itself was nothing short of spectacular—incredibly spacious and warmly appointed. The layout was impeccably designed, featuring a foyer, a living area, a comfortable bedroom, and a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom was a highlight, with a separate water closet, a vanity area with a deep-soaking bathtub, and a separate, spacious double shower room. The private outdoor sitting area that led to a huge, rejuvenating hot spring was the crown jewel of the suite. It's important to note the location within the Dong Feng Yun Scenic Area. A significant benefit is that the hotel provides the scenic area entrance ticket and transport to and from the gate, which is excellent. However, its setting means it is quite far from Jianshui's Old Town and other key locations. This can be inconvenient when you wish to visit other spots or find dining options outside the hotel. A major logistical issue we encountered was with return trips. When trying to get back to the hotel, most taxi drivers requested a top-up payment, as they would have to return to the city center without a passenger. Service at the hotel was generally good; the staff were prompt and attentive upon our arrival and throughout our stay. However, we noted a noticeable drop in attentiveness during the checkout process. A minor point to note is the centralized A/C system, which meant we couldn't control the room temperature individually. That said, the provision of a standing fan was a thoughtful and effective solution. The food at the hotel's restaurant was acceptable, though it didn't quite match the exceptional standard of the suite itself. Overall, this is a truly magnificent property for the space and privacy it offers, but its remote location requires careful planning and extra budget for transportation.
We love this hotel, service is very good. The room is very nice, clean and spacious. The breakfast is delicious and can try some local cuisine (mi xian, dian xin, egg tart very good taste, fruits is fresh and good taste). The staffs very nice, polite and helpful. Walking distance to a supermarket. We have a pleasant stay and wonderful experience in Lijiang.
We stayed another day and watched the sunrise from the hotel's observation deck. The designer was incredibly thoughtful! The layout is beautifully staggered. You can see the sunrise in front, the mountains shrouded in mist behind, and villages on both sides. The dappled shadows of the trees, the cool breeze, and the chirping of birds and insects really cleared my mind. My parents also said the bedding was soft and comfortable. The high ceilings in the lobby really made me feel relaxed. I highly recommend the cakes and breakfast toast; they're better than some star-rated hotels. I hope they can maintain their quality control. It's not far from the S-curve, Dali Ancient Town, and Chongsheng Temple, and it's very quiet. Please, the hotel must maintain its quality control!
It is suite well for family. We like the garden so much. They also offer a free picture taken around the hotel. We love it. The breakfast was okay. The dinner has many choices of restaurants. The room is big, nice, and very clean. The bed is comfortable.

Dali Geothermal Park was initially just a quick stopover on our itinerary, and I didn't have high expectations, but the experience completely exceeded them. First off, the hot spring center is incredibly well-equipped, with thirty to forty different hot spring pools, a hot spring swimming pool, a children's water park, and more. Secondly, the accommodation was fantastic; a room with a private hot spring only cost 400 yuan. In Beijing, a similar room would easily start at 1000 yuan.
This is a very nice hotel in Shuanglang ancient city. The hotel room have a nice view facing Cangshan and Erhai. The room is very spacious, clean and bed is comfortable. Staffs are very helpful and welcoming. Special thanks to Xiao Lee for the good service and call us 1 day before to arrange for the pick up at the ancient city entrance to the hotel. They offer nice tea break and variety breakfast. We enjoy our stay here. Recommended to stay at this hotel.
Very friendly service, even though our villa is away from the main resort area, the staff went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. We didn't manage to use the hot spring as the weather was too hot. Only problem was the stairs are a bit narrow for moving our luggage to the rooms. But rooms are nice and comfy.
