The room is super clean and spacious, and staff are very helpful.  We are so surprised that there are complimentary snack and drinks at lobby almost all the time, and have free croissant in breakfast time. They are very thoughtful that provided a wide range of amenities including skin care, hand cream, body lotion and hair essence.

This is a traditional, large-scale hot spring ryokan. I've been to many hot spring ryokans, and most of them felt deserted with few staff and many foreign guests. However, this ryokan had plenty of staff, and they were very attentive with both greetings and farewells. The baths were spacious, and the changing rooms were cleaned frequently. The unlimited use of bath towels was a fantastic service for us, as we love to soak multiple times. The view from our room, with the calm sea and beautiful sunset, was absolutely stunning. The meal service system was new to us and a bit confusing at first, but it turned out to be very convenient for our family, as we all eat different amounts. Finally, I must mention that we stayed here about 15 years ago when my late father was battling an illness. Being able to come back with my now-grown children and reminisce about those memories was truly special. The ryokan is just as wonderful now as it was then. Thank you for everything. The ryokan is very large and even has a bowling alley, which our children thoroughly enjoyed.

The hotel is near the train station, which makes travel very convenient. The breakfast is very rich, with Matsusaka beef hotpot every morning. Free midnight snacks (noodles), ice cream, and Yakult are provided. You can also soak in hot springs.

Facilities: The hotel has a hot spring on the 4th floor, perfect for unwinding after a long day of travel. On the 3rd floor, there's the front desk, a coffee machine, and some toiletries you can help yourself to. Stayed in January 2025 | Hollywood Twin Room (Non-Smoking) Cleanliness: The hotel cleanliness is excellent, and the hot spring on the 3rd floor is also quite clean. Ambiance: The hotel seems to be 10 stories high in total, with guest rooms from the 4th to the 10th floor. Service: There's a Sri Lankan guy at the front desk who speaks perfect English. There's also a real-time translator at the front desk, so if you don't speak Japanese but know a bit of English, overall it shouldn't be a big problem.

It was the second time to use it, but the facilities are wide 々 and comfortable. The hot springs were comfortable. Some of the products at the shop were not priced, and when I asked the front desk, they looked it up, but it seemed that I didn't know when I asked, ”Is it individual packaging?” I pushed it from under the box and said, ”It's individual packaging.” and so on. The restaurant was very delicious (IgA beef) and I was happy that the price was cheap, but the man in black clothes who guided me felt very good, but he was a foreigner and didn't seem to have any knowledge of cooking. Japanese locals explained in detail about the sake set. I want to use it again because the cospa can be relaxed well.

As I read in a previous review, there was floating foam in the men's bath. I thought this was due to the body soap not rinsing well. It took a long time to rinse off the soap after washing. I thought that since men don't care and just jump in the bath right away, the soap might get mixed into the water. I thought that changing the quality of the soap would solve the problem of floating foam and reduce the amount of water used. I was also disappointed that the water temperature in the cold bath was lukewarm (apparently the women's bath was cold). The toilet and the restroom were separate in the room, which was convenient. I felt that the other services were good, so I would like to recommend it if they improve the bath.

Upon arriving at Toba Station a little past 6 PM, we couldn't locate the hotel shuttle bus as advised by the guide. Decided to call the hotel just to try our luck, and to our surprise, they immediately dispatched a private car to pick us up! Service was absolutely impeccable! 💯 The hotel's absolute standout feature has to be its hot springs! ♨️ Especially the unique Pearl Onsen – the only one in Japan infused with Mikimoto pearl powder. My skin felt incredibly soft and glowed after soaking. (A glass of milk after the onsen is a must – incredibly refreshing! *Personally, I prefer the fruit-flavored one.) Room Experience: We booked the most basic Japanese-style room (washitsu) and truly enjoyed the authentic experience of sleeping on traditional tatami mats. Upon check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to find a welcome cheesecake 🍰 waiting for us in the fridge – absolutely delicious! All toiletries were exclusively Mikimoto branded, adding a definite touch of luxury and quality. (We even bought a set from the hotel shop before leaving – eligible for tax-free shopping!) 🥣 Breakfast was a classic Japanese set meal, served individually with no menu choices. The highlight, however, was the dining environment – private rooms! *Be bold and request a window-side private room. ❤️ Enjoying a refined breakfast in such a private setting, while gazing at the serene ocean view outside, was an incredibly soothing and delightful experience.

The hotel's scenery and service were both excellent. We booked a one-night stay with breakfast and dinner and were very satisfied with the food. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. We also enjoyed the bed-making service and shuttle service. The only regret was that the hotel didn't offer a luggage delivery package. If they could do so in the future, it would be our absolute choice for visiting Kashikojima.

This is the first time I have encountered a hot spring hotel where you take off your shoes as soon as you enter the door and you can walk barefoot throughout the hotel. It is very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very close to Yukiyokocho and Naimiya. The only drawback is that the food is not very delicious. I don’t know. Is it because I have booked a hotel in China that I have no choice?

The large window in the room overlooked the bay, and the sunset was the best view! Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with seafood in abundance. We roasted marshmallows in the lounge, played table tennis, and enjoyed morning yoga, so we had plenty of activities to enjoy. The large public bath had a nice atmosphere, and the water felt good, but it would have been even better if it was a free-flowing bath. The hotel staff were also very friendly and the service was excellent. Thank you very much😊

GGuest UserFacilities: An old hotel, very large, the room is clean, and the bed is comfortable; the hotel has many hot springs, including a public hot spring, several private hot springs (really very small and dark), foot baths, etc. in the hot spring village, which has a good atmosphere. I personally like the public hot springs; there is a welcome sign at the door when I first arrived at the hotel. Meals: Breakfast and dinner are buffets, with seats for sea views, the taste is OK, and there is a fish dismemberment show at a fixed time. Service: Generally good, quite enthusiastic and patient.

TtatuminThe hot spring, dinner, and breakfast were all very satisfying. The buffet-style dinner and breakfast, in particular, were incredibly luxurious with a wide variety of options that would appeal to all ages. Especially the seafood – sashimi, sushi, shrimp, scallops, squid, octopus – so much to choose from! There was also Matsusaka beef hot pot and stew, and a rich selection of fruits and desserts. During dinner, we experienced a minor incident, but we were incredibly impressed by the staff's quick response and thoughtfulness. Truly wonderful hospitality and consideration, and the reassuring feeling that staff in every position share information effectively! I am sincerely grateful. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay at Toba Seaside Hotel again.

らむあんこUpon arrival, they played a welcome drum. The room was nicely cleaned and we had a pleasant stay. There was a wide variety of dishes at dinner, more than we could eat, but since it was in our room, we were able to enjoy it at our leisure. The bath was lovely with a tatami floor. I was told that toothbrushes were charged, but this was not listed in the hotel details, so it would be nice if this was stated. It would also be helpful if amenities were placed so that only those who wanted them could choose them. There were two sets of towels and bath towels in the room, which were great to be able to use for bathing twice a day, at night and in the morning. The staff also gave us detailed explanations.

GGuest UserThere should be relatively few tourists in Toba itself. It is inconvenient if the hotel is on the mountain without a car. It is estimated that there were less than 10 groups of guests staying that day. The small bath in the room is only for one person. The size of the bathtub is very small, and it looks like there is a period of time. No one is using the time

GGuest UserI have two feelings about this stay. 1. The photo posted by this website was a lie - the room was very different to the reality. For a start there was no in room onsen and that had been a major factor in me making this booking. I was really disappointed on arrival. 2. However it has to be said the staff are fabulous, the food excellent and everything about the place shows a tremendous attention to detail. After a lovely long soak in the Onsen available to guests and a fabulous dinner my mood was quite recovered. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for someone looking for a luxurious retreat and plan to return myself.

GGuest UserAmazing staff - always kind and helpful. Food was wonderful and the best we had in Japan. The menu had around ten courses, each course with multiple small bowls and dips, beautifully arranged and served with love. The fish was very fresh and tasted amazing. We enjoyed using the onsen every day. Always clean, hot and soothing, they also offer a wide range of shampoo, conditioner and conditioner. No need to bring your own. The hotel itself (and the town) is a bit old unfortunately and although it is very clean, beds and rugs are older and might smell a bit. Other than that our stay was perfect.

GGuest UserWe came back yesterday. We went with just our kids (high school students). The front desk staff were very accommodating when we told them in advance that we would be going with just the kids, and it looked good after we got there. The pool and baths were close, and there was an easy-to-access path, so we came back very happy. We'll go again! Thank you very much.
