Hot Springs Hotels in Mie Prefecture, Japan

This onsen resort offers incredible value for money. The booking page didn't mention it all, but besides the buffet breakfast and dinner, each guest also receives a pass for unlimited re-entry to Nagashima Spaland theme park during their stay (rides require separate tickets). It also includes admission to Nabana no Sato for their illumination show (highly recommended, and the round-trip bus is free, but requires advance booking), and unlimited access to Nagashima Onsen (about a dozen large baths, open 5-8 AM and 10 AM-11 PM). On top of all that, there's the Mitsui Outlet Park, which is great for shopping. One night simply isn't enough; I highly recommend staying for two days.

If you’re looking for an authentic ryokan experience with modern comfort, Shiojitei is an exceptional choice. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed. The staff were attentive, professional, and always ready to help, creating a level of service that truly stands out. The rooms were beautifully maintained, combining traditional Japanese elements with contemporary comfort. One of the highlights was definitely the Pearl Aurora Onsen, which was incredibly relaxing and left my skin feeling amazingly smooth. The complimentary welcome tea and cheesecake, along with the evening marshmallow roasting by the lobby, were thoughtful touches that made the stay feel extra special. Both dinner and breakfast exceeded expectations. Every course was beautifully presented, featuring fresh local ingredients and refined flavours that made each meal feel like a special occasion. Dining in a peaceful, private setting made the experience even more memorable. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle service from Toba Station, making it easy to reach despite its tranquil location. Overall, Shiojitei perfectly balances traditional Japanese hospitality, excellent cuisine, and a relaxing atmosphere. It was one of the most memorable stays of my trip, and I would gladly return on my next visit to the Ise-Shima region.

I had a wonderful stay at Suzuka Circuit Hotel. The room was clean, neat, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a full day of activities. One of the biggest advantages is the location — close to the theme park, which is incredibly convenient, especially for families with children. The dining options were excellent, with a wide variety of choices available. Breakfast was particularly impressive, offering something for everyone and a great start to the day. Another highlight was the free parking, which made the whole trip much more convenient and stress-free. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and hassle-free stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Suzuka, especially those planning to spend time at the circuit or theme park.

Our stay at Sun Urashima Yuki no Sato was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views of Toba Bay. Waking up to the peaceful ocean scenery each morning was incredibly relaxing. The onsen was equally impressive—immaculately maintained, soothing, and the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Every dish showcased the freshness of the local seafood and seasonal ingredients, with each course thoughtfully presented. Dining here wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience. What stood out most was the attention to detail. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, from the seamless check-in to the thoughtful service throughout our visit. You can genuinely feel the pride they take in providing outstanding hospitality. If you’re looking for an authentic luxury ryokan experience with amazing food, stunning views, and unforgettable service, Sun Urashima Yuki no Sato is absolutely worth the visit. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to returning someday.

We used this hotel as a family celebration trip. The facilities were beautiful and lovely, but what really impressed us was the warm and wonderful service from the staff. Due to the earthquake in Russia, trains were stopped and we had no means of transportation, but they extended our check-out time and were very accommodating. The food was delicious, and each dish was carefully prepared. The breakfast buffet was also very satisfying, with so many options, including Japanese and Western cuisine, that we couldn't finish it all. We signed up for morning yoga, and started the morning off right in the open space surrounded by greenery on the property, listening to the birds chirping and feeling the breeze, which was a wonderful way to start the day. Next time we visit, we'd like to enjoy a cruise or something similar.

It was nice that all rooms had ocean views and the rooms were spacious and spacious so you could relax. However, the poor manners of the people using the large public bath were very noticeable. Despite a notice at the entrance warning people with tattoos not to use the bath, people with very bad tattoos were using it, and children started swimming competitions in the hot springs while their mothers didn't warn them. I don't recommend using the hot springs after eating around 9pm. There were no locks on the shoe lockers, so when I returned I was in trouble because the slippers for the building were not where I had put them. I felt that improvements such as making the tattoo warning notice more noticeable and putting locks on the shoe lockers would be appreciated.

Excellent value for money. Although the two meals weren't the typical kaiseki cuisine offered by a hot spring inn, the buffet was surprisingly delicious both morning and evening. The room was large and clean, the free-flowing bath was comfortable, and they even gave us a welcome gift bag. A wonderful travel experience.

I was incredibly lucky to snag a room for my last-minute reservation, especially since it was right before a three-day weekend! This was my first time visiting Toba, and I traveled by car ferry. The hotel was conveniently located close to the ferry terminal, and the views were absolutely stunning! They had three different baths, and the food was delicious too!! For dinner, the Matsusaka beef Ise Udon was a highlight, and in the morning, the white miso soup with mekabu was so tasty!! I also bought some of the delicious nori tsukudani (seaweed paste) that was served at breakfast from their souvenir shop! And some local sake too!! Everyone was so kind, and the atmosphere was really welcoming and gentle, making me want to stay again. I'll definitely be back!!

Upon arrival, they played a welcome drum. The room was nicely cleaned and we had a pleasant stay. There was a wide variety of dishes at dinner, more than we could eat, but since it was in our room, we were able to enjoy it at our leisure. The bath was lovely with a tatami floor. I was told that toothbrushes were charged, but this was not listed in the hotel details, so it would be nice if this was stated. It would also be helpful if amenities were placed so that only those who wanted them could choose them. There were two sets of towels and bath towels in the room, which were great to be able to use for bathing twice a day, at night and in the morning. The staff also gave us detailed explanations.

We arrived early on the day of check-in and waited briefly in the lobby before being escorted to our room around 3:00. We were given a large twin room with tatami mats. While the furniture was a bit worn, it was very clean. The air conditioner was a Daikin brand and looked brand new. The staff, though not very numerous, were very helpful. Breakfast was a Japanese set menu delivered to the room. Kashikojima Station is less than a ten-minute walk away, and the hotel offers a morning shuttle service. Kashikojima gradually becomes quiet around 5:00 or 6:00, and restaurants and convenience stores at the station close by 6:00. We didn't book dinner at the hotel, so we took the train two stops later to eat.
