We noted that the ryokan is only a few minutes walk from the JR Hanamura station but our group had a rental car. On Goggle map, the location listed the ryokan by its previous name of Hanamura View hotel. It is very traditional Japanese ryokan and we saw mainly local Japanese guests there. Kumiko spoke a bit more English than her husband and both were extremely helpful, carrying our luggages from the car and to the room. They also recommend places to visit and to have lunch and even gave us complimentary vouchers to the Uradome boat ride. Breakfast was traditional Japanese buffet and had a wide variety of Tottori seasonal vegetables and seafood. As it was off season for the famous Matsuba crabs, we had a variety of seasonal fish. Similarly the kaiseki dinner also comprise seasonal ingredients and was very substantial for the ¥9000 per person we paid for room, breakfast & dinner. We had a different menu for the two nights there. Service extended by Hideaki and Kumiko was par excellence. They even performed a traditional Tottori dance for us with the husband on the shamisen while the wife danced. Very delightful performance. Our group of 5 had a wonderful 2 nights stay at Ryofuan.
