I've always been a big fan of Dormy Inn, and this was my first time trying their premium series. Beyond the all-tatami flooring throughout the building and the cypress *onsen* bath directly in the room, it wasn't vastly different from a standard Dormy Inn. In fact, the room was quite small. I actually quite liked the minimal room service – they only needed to provide fresh towels. After all, once my luggage was open, there was barely any room to stand.
The hotel is a bit far from Toyama Station. While this isn't a major issue for those driving, there aren't many dining options nearby, so you'll still need to head to the station area for food. The Glass Art Museum, on the other hand, is very close and definitely worth a visit, especially since the tickets are super affordable. And the breakfast, as usual, was absolutely superb!
Five-star rating all around! I was a bit worried the 2019 renovation might feel old, but it absolutely doesn't – everything feels very new. They offer a pick-up service from the train station, or it's just a 300m walk. Inside the hotel, there are English-speaking staff, making communication a breeze. The buffet dinner was also good. There aren't many dining options on the hot spring street; besides one BBQ place, it's mostly set menus and ramen, so the hotel buffet is a better choice. For lunch, I recommend the cafe by the entrance; both the cakes and drinks were delicious. Since we visited in winter, we didn't book the scenic train, but we did go to the ski resort, which was perfect for kids. The foot bath next to the train station was super hot and incredibly relaxing. This is a great place to stay for two nights.
The front desk service is amazing. The hot spring is very comfortable. The room is clean and hygienic with a dry and wet separation. The mini bar has pudding and mineral water. The breakfast is also very sumptuous. It's just a 15-minute straight walk from Toyama Station. Remember to bring a bath towel when you go to soak in the hot spring!! The lady checking out was very gentle. I hope you like the panda pendant. feedback from a Chinese friend
This hotel in Toyama city has an indoor hot spring, and the rooms are very new. The ginkgo trees in the park opposite and along the road outside are beautiful. The traffic is moderate, and it's a 7-minute walk from the tram station. I had a very comfortable stay. The most heartwarming part was the complimentary mini-bar where you could sample wines and coffee.
The hotel is unforgettable. One berth and two food choices should be the most common set meal, but it is still amazing. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, enjoy the breakfast in the courtyard snow scene, regardless of the tip of the tongue or the eyes, you have the ultimate enjoyment. Bibimbap snacks for breakfast have a variety of tricks, and Toyama famous things are worth trying. The exquisite presentation makes people unable to bear to eat, everything is ingenious. We did not book a private soup, because the scenery of the public soup is more beautiful! There are very few guests staying, and the hot spring in the snow is worth a try! As a paradise-like existence, you must accept the store's limited English output. Remember to bring your mobile phone translation software. Everything is not a problem. The store will be very active to help solve the problem! If you come to Zhuangchuanxia cruise ship, don't miss this hotel~
The hotel facilities are new and clean, and it provides free welcome drinks and buffet breakfast. There is a small bathing area, free parking and many different daily necessities (the most surprising thing is mouthwash). The price-performance ratio is really high! It is very close to Kosugi Station, and there is a large supermarket opposite the hotel, which is really convenient!
The facilities are a bit outdated; I wonder if the new building will be better. The hot springs are fantastic, and the open-air bath offers views of the Tateyama mountain range. The food is especially worth recommending; both meals included in the overnight stay were superb, using local ingredients, and we were so full!
Recomended hotel, even have the pick up and deliver services to the unazaki station! Recomended!
Provide so many free yukata to choose, welcome drink etc
Highly recommended! My room was very comfortable and had a stunning view – as did the outdoor onsen. At night, I could open the window and fall asleep to the sound of the river. All the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hotel offers a shuttle service at all times of day and night, but it's also only a 10-minute walk to the train station.
I arrived in Tonami on a solo motorcycle trip. I called ahead to check on parking space and was told there was a covered space available. When I arrived at the hotel that day, the front desk staff checked on me, greeted me at the entrance, and guided me to the parking space. After checking in, I was very satisfied with the extremely courteous service. I was staying here to watch an away game of the B.League basketball league, and I appreciated the hotel's proximity to the interchange, ample parking space, and clean and comfortable room.

Great
GGuest UserBeautiful hotel (about 7 min walk to the station) and was a great Ryokan experience as the room was traditional and had a breath-taking view. Futons were sufficiently comfortable - but wished there was the whole Ryokan welcome and fanfare.
Staff was welcoming but did not speak much English though they had papers of English instructions all ready. There was a free shuttle out of the hotel at fixed timings to the nearest Shinkansen (Unazukionsen Station)
Onsen was relaxing and was supplied with good quality products for every aspect of grooming. Lots of vending machines were available, there was a souvenir shop on site though pricey. We just did not enjoy the corridors as it gave out a creepy vibe (due to it being an older establishment), hence, we did not enjoy moving around the hotel). Facilities were beautiful and well preserved.
Food as part of the experience was a good and large helping. We opted for the full seafood experience but it had a lot of sashimi or cured seafood which was not to our own liking (we did not really know what we signed up for, really our fault!) Breakfast was a good spread and really hearty. A lot of traditional and local specialties to experience!
Overall a great stay!
(Shops in the vicinity closes at about 5pm and open at 10am)
Bbrucelai708Nice place with free parking. Very nice and helpful staff. Dinner and breakfast are nice with full of Japanese culture. Very comfortable hot spring.
Honestly, it’s a bit old but they keep it very clean and nice. Really happy to be here.

TTianzeAwesome hotel, I didn’t see a high rating when I booked Ctrip. I have been hesitating to make a reservation. However, the B&B in Baichuan Township is a wooden house structure that is too old. I chose this hotel. The hot springs are superb and the rooms are clean and looks like It didn't take long for the decoration, everything was very new, and I will definitely visit again in Shirakawa Township next time.

SSPNice Japanese breakfast. Strategic location to get around Gokayama and Shirakawa. In front of the hotel is the biggest Gassho style house in Japan that has a long history of being owned by samurais and where the emporia family had visited many times and is considered a cultural heritage of Japan.. I would go back to this hotel because of its location.
NnanaThe pick-up service was quite timely. The Japanese-style room was relatively large. The hot spring had an outdoor area. The indoor hot spring area was quite large. The outdoor water felt very good for the skin. It was slippery after soaking. You could enjoy the scenery while bathing. The hotel provided yukatas of various colors, which you could wear to take pictures in the snow. There were no small shops in and around the hotel. Unlike some large hot spring hotels that have many supermarkets like 7/11, there was no place to go shopping when you were free.
AAnonymous UserRecomended hotel, even have the pick up and deliver services to the unazaki station! Recomended!

海海島王子This hotel is part of the Oedo Onsen Monogatari group, and its reasonable accommodation prices are definitely reassuring. Its proximity to Unazuki Station makes it incredibly convenient for taking the sightseeing train.
The buffet offered a rich variety of dishes, all prepared using local ingredients. I was very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast, especially the yellowtail, which was absolutely delicious.
I stayed in a Japanese-style room, which was very comfortable and provided a restful night's sleep. This place is highly recommended for families with children, offering a large ball pit, an inflatable slide area, and an arcade.
