Chateau Fredericton, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

I have been to Fredericton 4 times since 2016 most recently this past week. This hotel use to be Hampton Inn. All I can say is this is a four star to me. It’s very new and extremely clean. The furniture and overall hotel is top of the line. Free breakfast was also incredible. Free parking and excellent workout room. The pool and slide my kids loved. I can’t say enough good things and I typically don’t write reviews. Do not hesitate to book. I live in Toronto for reference.

My husband and I returned to celebrate our 30th anniversary after a wonderful stay in July. Our experience could not have been more different. Our stay in July was booked via points and we had a queen room with a lovely bathroom and large fridge. I reserved what I thought was the same room for this trip. We were barely acknowledged as gold member at the check-in desk. We were lead to a tiny room that was absolutely filthy - stained carpets, sticky desk and very dark. We called and they changed our room to across the hall which was just okay. The room was nothing like our summer room (albeit the same description). The bed was a double which they are calling a ”European Queen” - not the same as this summer - with a bathroom that would be too small for a child. A tiny pedestal sink with no counter for toiletries and an outlet hidden behind the towel rack. We could literally barely move in the space. No cleaning service for three days - until we called the front desk and waited two hours for toilet paper and new paper cups for the coffee machine. We were so disappointed. The internet was spotty at best and generally we experience upgraded internet. I think the ”resort” needs to determine if they are a resort or a banquet and conference center. That is where there attention was recently while other couples or families celebrating were left behind. And - please - price these tiny rooms properly - we didn't receive what we had booked. If the resort relies on students to staff the property, close to guests at the end of August. And - end the resort fee after August - one fire pit (while the other is reserved for a wedding) and an indoor pool are standard fare at any Hampton Inn - not resort amenities. We feel like we really got taken for the over $1000 we spent (and that was not eating at the hotel)! It makes us sad as we did have a lovely summer holiday, but we are not sure when we might return.
Four Points by Sheraton Moncton

Positives: - Check in staff, Madison, had positive attitude. Listened to issues found in the room, tried to offer two options but none of them I could use. - Responsive and made efforts to resolve issues Negatives: - Found hairs on the back of the hotel room door entry next to the wall, hairs found on the bed, and several in the bathroom in the first room they assigned me. - Poor hand-off and follow through when changing shifts between employees: Madison left and did not inform the next shift employee about the uncleaning issues in my room, left me waiting for more than 30 minutes. A new staff took over and I had to re-explain the situation again. Madison did not let me know that she would soon get off her shift and a new staff would take over. They moved me to Room 440 which is much cleaner. - The check-out process was long, the staff, Shannon said the printer couldn't print. The manager, Kamar, was standing looking over Shannon's shoulder and said he would take over to check me out. He asked me to go into his ”dark” office, and I said I preferred to wait in the lobby where it's bright and no need for me to go into his office, I sensed something was off. I went to get tea in the nearby tea table where hot water and coffee were located. Then, the next thing he did was acting inappropriately by walking very close to me to ask me a question, when Shannon stepped away, saying, ”Did you book through Expedia? My lady?” When Shannon returned, I told her that her manager, Kamar, said something inappropriate, and looked straight into Kamar's eyes telling him, ”I am not your lady. Stop that. I am your guest, the guest of Four Points by Sheraton.” This could constitute a sexual harassment in work setting. The facility is in good and acceptable condition. Cleanliness needs improvement as cleanliness varies from one room to another. The staff's service was fine, but manager, Kamar's behavior is concerning, inappropriate, and needs to be addressed. This hotel would have the chance to earn a 4 out of 5 or even 5 out of 5 if they were able to: 1) provide a clean, hairless, grease-free, watermark-free, food crumb-free rooms on all surfaces from the beginning. 2) Kamar acts and speaks professionally and appropriately 3) Better handoff between shifts. Kamar is the biggest factor that this property got a 2 star out of 5-star rating. Moncton in New Brunswick is the closest bigger city to Prince Edward Island, which offers better lodging accommodation. If you don't mind driving 1.5 to 2 hours daily (one way), this can be a good lodging location for those who plan to visit Prince Edward Island. Going into Prince Edward Island is free, but when you leave and cross the bridge again, it's $50 CAD, so do pencil that in when making your lodging decisions. For the same price, you get better and nicer hotels in Moncton than that of Charlottetown in Prince Edward Island.

This is our go-to hotel in the Moncton area. Kids love it. The only reason I’m giving it 4 star this time is because they have Rogers cable and the cable was down for quite a long time. Hard with teens. Rogers is notorious for outages (at least in Atlantic Canada), and no hotel should rely on them exclusively for service. That being said, the staff and lodgings were wonderful. Special should out to the lady looking after the breakfast. We were there March 11 / 12, 2023. She was an absolute delight. Food was always hot and stocked, and she has great knowledge of the local area. She kept us and the kids well looked after during our times in the dining area. A true asset. Rooms were clean and made up each day. Poor area was busy as it was March Break, but kept clean and towels were stocked. Appreciate the management and employees of this hotel so much. Keep up the great work! We will be back again!!

The service was great. It was a cute room, wish they had option for a breakfast at the hotel as the restaurant don’t open till 4. The food at supper was great. There are lots of options for food within in a 10 minute walk. Make sure u have charging cube as there is no option to plug in your phone cord.

This is a very dated hotel the carpets in the hallways are stained it’s very damp smelling We booked online and found that they put you on the second floor which isn’t good if you have a disability. I’d give it more stars because the staff were great the breakfast was the best that we’ve had on our trip. I wish that we had known that we had such a small bed because it was difficult for both of us. The fan in the bathroom is very loud and so is the air conditioner. Stains on office chair 😳

The location is very good, it is convenient to walk out, there are many places to eat, and the bed is very comfortable. Free parking is available. The room is very hygienic, if you eat it yourself is also very convenient, there are microwave ovens, refrigerators, etc.
Hilton Garden Inn Fredericton, New Brunswick

Stopped for one night while traveling north to Gaspe. Very easy access to the garage, and since we had a digital key, we went directly to our room. Be sure, however, that you stop by at the front desk at some point to give them auto information for the parking garage. A fee will be added to your stay, but the security personnel at the garage need to know that your car is authorized by the Hilton Garden, or it will be ticketed. One of the drawbacks of digital keys, and bypassing the front desk!! Great room, and great breakfast choices in the AM. Friendly and helpful staff throughout. Will definitely stay here again when in Fredericton.

It is renovated but the infrastructure is old. The entrance looks grand but the rooms are dirty. We had room 343. There were webs and dirt all along the room trim. I killed a 2inch spider by the tv and not a house spider but one of those mamas that belongs outside. I then inspected the room and saw the same type of spider hanging on the curtains!! That’s it I packed up and demanded another room. I’ve been in a lot of hotel rooms and this has never happened to me to see outside spiders in rooms. We then got a room on the sixth floor premium. It definately was cleaner. After inspection I could sleep lol. But when I woke up to take a shower, a thick daddy long legs was in the shower. Wth!! At least it wasn’t a spider like last night. Positives are that it’s in great location and near water. Great for bike rides
