Mercure Hefei South Station Luogang Central Park Hotel
4.8/5390 Reviews
Baohe Industrial Park
In order to watch VAC, the hotel is just opposite Luogang Park, which is very convenient to walk to. There are many places to visit and eat. The hotel is very new, and all the facilities are very new. It is quite satisfactory for watching performances, but the surrounding area has not been developed yet, there are no other shops, and takeaways are far away. Check-in was very fast, at most 1 minute, and the front desk lady thoughtfully prepared souvenirs, a small bag of fruit and a box of macarons. The next morning, I caught the high-speed rail and had breakfast at the hotel. There were not many styles, but they were few and fine. The noodles were added by myself, and the beef was very solid. Overall, I was very satisfied and would come again if I had a chance!
J·Mountain Hotel

Mount Huangshan
Our stay at the J. Mountain hotel was beyond our wildest dreams. I rarely leave reviews but our 3 nights here were so stunningly exceptional that we felt driven to express our gratitude and appreciation for the stellar staff, service, and beautiful setting of this hidden gem of a hotel. The service was without exception some of the best if not the best I have ever experienced at a hotel, and I travel often, having visited over 20 countries in the last few years alone and stayed at many beautiful and well-known five-star hotels and brands. Despite being a very young hotel (having just opened in September) J. Mountain Hotel holds its own and then some. It began months before our stay when we reached out to the hotel on WeChat to ask for guidance on equipment, tickets, and transportation. As we are visiting from America the area isn’t necessarily the easiest to access or plan for. Responses were almost immediate no matter when we reached out and always went above and beyond. For instance, my mother is nearly 70 and although very active was worried about slipping and falling while hiking in icier conditions; they offered to even purchase crampons for us should we wish although they advised us we would not need them for the time of year we were here (they were right). While here their thoughtfulness included texting us updates on and warning us about inclement weather while we were hiking around Huang Shan (there is cell service), drying and fluffing our wet gear when we returned from a particularly wet hike, and most astounding of all resolving an incredibly stressful issue we had with an upcoming flight that had been canceled (they suggested and secured alternative means of transport to a second city and then arranged for a different flight with the airline directly). We must specifically give our thanks to Hotel Manager Ryan, who is young but clearly extremely talented and excels in his role. He not only oversaw and proactively sought to help us on every front but was responsible for resolving our flight emergency. He also clearly had directed staff to help us to their utmost ability at all times, including having breakfast and dinner ready for and served to us at the times we requested. Ryan also personally met us and gave us a tour of the hotel and its history and design, as well as accompanied us to the art gallery and an evening tea tasting held in the gorgeous tea house on the grounds. He checked in with us every day and night and made sure everything was to our liking. Driver Wang Kai was our personal chauffer throughout the stay and was extremely courteous, professional, and attentive; he was always there to pick us up and see us off at multiple locations throughout our trip and not once were we ever allowed to wait. He even brought us hotel slippers and large down jackets to change into out of our soaking wet gear when picking us up at the end of a hike. When we said we did not think we would need some of the gear they offer their guests, we noticed he packed it in the car just in case we changed our minds and needed them later. I could literally go on and on but wanted to make sure I left room to appreciate how beautiful the hotel itself is and how much attention to detail has gone into its design and planning; at almost every turn we discovered something that added to the ease, enjoyment, and comfort of our stay. J. Mountain Hotel, thank you for one of the best experiences we have had in many, many years.

Huangshan Tangkounandamen
The accommodation environment is very good. The room is large and clean. The facilities are all new. The check-in experience is particularly good. We live on the third floor. There is no elevator in the B&B. The owner is very enthusiastic to help us move our luggage. The service is super good! The owner is very nice. The driver of the carpool from Hongcun to Tangkou did not send us to the door of the B&B. The owner came to pick us up. He also sent us to the entrance of Huangshan at 5 o'clock the next day. The boss really worked hard. The driver from Huangshan to the high-speed rail station was also contacted by the boss. He is really responsible We had dinner at the B&B. All five dishes were delicious and the price was very affordable. I was very satisfied The scenery in front of the B&B is very good and it looks good for taking pictures

The Peak Of Mount Huangshan
Great hotel experience- the staff here are incredibly kind and helpful, particularly Yan Yan who set us up with a bunch of snacks and water as well as helpful tips for catching the sunrise. The room was very clean; just fyi the bed is very firm. The location is great for seeing sunrise as it is ~30 min walk/climb to the Bright Summit.  The food is tasty! The included breakfast buffet was the perfect fueling for a day of climbing. It’s nothing fancy but tasty and nutritious.  We took a scenic route up to the hotel via the Yuping Gondola (front side), which led to quite a climb from where we got off to where the hotel is. It was full of beautiful sights but it took about an hour of uphill ascent — 1.5mi walk and 800ft of climbing. The hotel might be easier to get to from the Yungge Gondola (back side).  There’s a little shop with snacks in the lobby, as well as a little cafe.
The Langham Hefei

Government Culture District (Mixc/Olympic Center)
It was my first time staying at The Langham Hefei, but I can also say it was my third as I extended my stay twice. The staff's courtesy, warmth and the right level of care started right at the moment I entered the hotel lobby. The wall to wall and floor to ceiling marble can be cold, but The Langham Hefei 's lobby feels warm and welcoming due to the yellow hue of its lighting I believe and its staff. I immediately smelled flowers after I stepped in the lobby, pleasant, not overwhelming. It came from a huge bouquet composed of hundreds of pink lilies, not the pink roses representing The Langham. I prefer lily's smell anyway. The bouquet is by the front desk, so guests could enjoy lilies while waiting for check-in. As a matter of fact, I waited no time. Ada Yang greeted me immediately and checked me in within 2 minutes. I was very glad I moved from the other 5-star hotel which I had been told was the ceiling of the Hefei hotel scene. It took that hotel 10 minutes to check me in. The breakfast experience at The Langham Hefei was also great! The Seasons restaurant is big enough so that the seating was always available whenever I went down, which was not the case at the other hotel. In addition to daily cleaning, House keeping also came in the afternoon to make sure every everything is in good order and ask if additional supplies are needed. After two nights stay, I decided to change my original hotel hopping plan and continued staying at The Langham Hefei. It was again Ada Yang who helped me with the extension. She was warm, professional and efficient as always. Due to my itinerary change, I extended my stay the second time. This time it was Kristen He (XIAO He) who helped me. I experienced the same Langham quality from Xiao He - courtesy, warmth, knowledge and efficiency. She explained to me the responsibilities of each front line role and Langham's efforts to optimize guests' experience. She even went extra miles to ask her manager's permission to give me a complimentary Happy Hour. The Happy Hour is on the 44th floor at The Langham Club where mini buffet and beverage are provided 5:30 - 8:00pm. The staff there, Tracy, Lucy and Anne, were equally exceptional! They were proactive and ready to help. I asked for a Cosmo, but the cranberry juice had run out. Lucy made one with grapefruit juice and it tasted wonderful! Thank you, Ada, Xiao He, Tracy, Lucy, Ann and each every staff I met, you made my stay a memorable one!
Shanshui Boutique Hotel (Huangshan Tunxi Old Street)

Tunxi/Liyyang Old Streets
This hotel is a gem in Tunxi that I found on Trip.com. We regret not staying here for 2 nights at the start of our 4 day trip in Huangshan at the start of Chinese New Year in Jan. 2023 because it is near the Huangshan Bei (North) high speed train station (25 min drive by Didi) and an easy travel to the Yungpu cable car (about 45 min.) to access the mountain. I contacted the hotel and connected on Wechat and the English speaking receptionist Xiao Xi (he is an amazing host and an ambassador for this hotel) answered my questions and sent me the taxi/Didi location. When we arrived we received a warm English welcome and an unexpected upgrade to a spacious gorgeous, already heated room with a huge bath, and shower overlooking the river. Our original room price included breakfast, which was a mix of Chinese and Western choices. I recommend trying the preserved tofu. First time I tried it; it resembles blue cheese, and is surprisingly tasty. We loved the Japanese style design of the hotel. The hotel is situated conveniently near the promenade adjacent the river, Luping cobbled stoned shopping street and Tunxi ancient street. Xiao personally guided us to these streets and made some dinner suggestions. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and had a lovely meal of sushi and ramen. The hotel has many areas designed for guests to relax inside, and outside where you can have cups of tea on the house. It also has a library room where you can relax reading a book or just have a cup of tea. They also offer tea ceremonies which is included in the room price. The swimming pool is an added bonus if you visit in summer. The promenade and shopping street can be accessed from the gate at the outdoor seating area on the roof as well. I definitely recommend staying a night or two in this beautifully designed hotel with friendly staff and service in English and Chinese. The locals were friendly and a sandwich and coffee at the FFFFF café is a must. It is one of the most delicious roasted sandwiches (we call them jaffles) I have eaten in China. In the evening you can visit one of many wine houses, clubs or bars in Luping or Tunxi Old street, or just walk around and enjoy the scenery. We don't regret visiting in winter. It was chilly outside but we experienced windless days and nights making it a pleasant experience walking around.

Huangshan Tangkounandamen
6 floor cozy hotel, cleaning everyday. Ashtray in the room but we don't smoke. Smoke feels in the toilet. Bathroom and toilet made very accurate. Fresh eater bottles renewed, have a kettle and the teapot. But no tea! Neither tea, nor coffee in the room. You may buy Chinese tea in the shop on the street, but beware of the fraud (trade more to death!). Restaurant on the first floor makes a 15% discount for hotel guests.

Huangshan Tangkounandamen
The perfect place for an overnight trip! The room was clean and comfortable, with AC, TV, kettle, etc. — everything you might need! The staff readily provided us with a WeChat contact, offering to drive us to and from the Huangshan mountain trail entrance as well as happily providing recommendations for the local town. After being caught in the rain on the last day after we had already checked out, we were immediately accommodated to dry off in one of the rooms before our evening train. The hospitality and generosity was 10/10 and much appreciated! I have multiple friends who chose to stay at the 0517 Hotel while visiting Huangshan, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area!
Heart Hotel (Hefei Luogang Park)

Baohe Industrial Park
Special thumbs up to the lady in charge of the front desk who wears square glasses. Her service is very enthusiastic, she has a sweet smile and she is very patient. It is definitely a first-class five-star service. The room configuration is very complete, especially the water from the shower head is very dense, and the bath is very comfortable. The only drawback is that the sound insulation is not very good. Maybe it's bad luck. There is a young couple next door who often make loud noises in the middle of the night. But the price is definitely great value. We can’t be too picky. This hotel also supports luggage storage, which is very convenient. It is also very close to Hefei South Station and Gong Street. I will definitely visit again next time! ! ! (The first flower photo is for the lady at the front desk. Your smile is very contagious. I wish you stay in a good mood)
