The building is farther from the waterfront (just a block off Ave Baltra then seven blocks to Academy Bay) than other places I’ve stayed while in Puerto Ayora. For an overnight stay, the room was plain, yet comfortable. I was most impressed by the dawn view of town during breakfast on the top floor. Some guests may be pleasantly surprised to learn the building has an elevator.

The service is very good (the front desk is very good and helped me recommend other hotels and provide transportation information after I checked out). But some questions still need to be raised: the bath water is either too hot or too cold. This is not a solar problem, but an equipment problem. Internet, although the entire island network is not good, there is no network signal in the room.

Although the room is not big, it is very clean, the roof terrace is particularly good, the service is very thoughtful, the plug of the mobile phone charger is wrong, the waiter borrowed it for one night, thank you!

The rooms were very nice, very comfortable bed, great View even from our Second Story. Breakfast every morning was delightful as they had eggs, fruit, yogurt and granola, and fresh juice of a different flavor everyday, and of course fresh coffee. The place is only 10 minutes away from downtown, which is nice as it is crowded down there. Rooms were cleaned every day, better than what I've received in the US lately. Swimming pool was well maintained and they provided pool towels for both the pool and our excursions. The Hotel host was very nice and explain things to do nearby and arranged for our taxis when we needed them.

Excellent place to stay on Isabela Island. Walking distance to the port Restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and flamingo park. Front desk folks are so very nice and Tawney, the young man who is always available to assist with anything speaks fluid English. There’s water outside to rinse your shoes if you do the volcano tour or turtle tour there is soda and water to buy. However, you can walk 100 feet and buy it for half the price but it is convenient to have close at hand. Air-conditioning works great hot water great And fresh fruit grown there for breakfast. Purified water always available. Breakfast has specific times. Coffee is ready and hot very early and the services is excellent. Construction going on next door but you will be gone during the day. Would stay there every time on Isabel island. Enjoy!

Can help introduce travel agencies. The prices and services are relatively reliable. The hotel environment is very style, and it is very comfortable to stay in the small courtyard. The only flaw is that the room is average. More like the standard of domestic three-star hotel. But very clean. The hotel includes breakfast. We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. The location is great, at the quiet end of town near the Charles Darwin centre, away from the bar *****, right on the water and surrounded by mangroves, with a constant supply of sea lions, iguanas, pelicans, frigate birds and other birds to keep you entertained. We stayed in the Darwin room, which is really spacious, with a lovely sea-view balcony. Definitely worth paying extra for. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, the food and service always good. Santa Cruz is not the most beautiful of the islands but has lots of great attractions and is a perfect base for exploring other nearby islands on day trips. We did day trips to North Seymour and Bartolome and both were excellent. We chose a land-based holiday (ie staying in hotels rather than living on a boat) because we didn’t want to be stuck on a small boat with a group of people we didn’t know and might not get on with, and wanted more space and privacy. Very happy with that choice.

I had stayed at the Hotel Ninfa before. It is centrally located, close to the ATM's, the town centre and the local dive shops including Academy Bay which we used. In planning the trip for the club, I decided to use this hotel again as our base for the reasons set out above. The hotel is very welcoming and friendly. Since my last trip, the hotel has undertaken a significant refurbishment to the breakfast area. On a par with other hotels I have stayed in.There was a wide selection for breakfast and you can also have it cooked fresh to order. The garden, bar area and the pool side are well maintained and a great place to relax after a dive, early evening and prior to popping out to any of the restaurants close by, either along Charles Darwin Avenue or there is a great street close by which has the tables on the road - the fish there is superb. I have noted some of the comments posted by others which I think are somewhat unfair when the experience is taken in the round. Yes, some of the rooms might need an upgrade but they were comfortable enough for our purpose. I am sure that the hotel management has this in hand, if the breakfast area is anything to go by. The only observation that I would make is in relation to the wifi within the hotel which can be challenging at times if you need to use it. Something for the hotel team to think about. We spent 7 nights in the White House and were very happy. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the port, we felt very safe at all times on our way home. The rooms are practically furnished, clean, warm shower, comfortable beds, rooms separated from the street by a cozy and beautiful indoor courtyard with hanging mattresses. Very friendly and helpful owner family, rent bikes and had a great excursion offer. There is also a common kitchen with refrigerator and water donor, which was very practical. However, the maintenance of the kitchen (in particular with regard to cleanness and old food) could be optimized. In addition, everything was top and we can recommend the accommodation very much.

This is a spotlessly clean 9-room, 4-storey boutique hotel located in the heart of PBM. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with everything you need for travel. The breakfast, on the top floor open air dining area is not to be missed. Fresh ingredients and delicious fare. Great coffee! Filtered drinking water is available on two floors and beach towels can be obtained from the front desk. The views are spectacular and span across the harbour and waterfront. As the property name suggests, the view of the sunsets from the top floor are something to behold each evening. The hotel is located on Charles Darwin Avenue meaning everything is mere steps away including the two main piers from which ferries and tours embark. Total convenience. Highly recommended property.

This hostal is a good 18-minute walk from the malecon and all the restaurants and shops. Wifi was good, the room was clean, and the AC was cold. The communal areas were great, with lots of nice plants, and I would absolutely suggest this location to anyone with a family using multiple rooms. The nice communal areas outside the rooms would also make this a great choice for smokers. My main complaint was that the window curtains to my room (#12) were extremely thin, and the hall light is motion sensitive and comes on all through the night, and the bright light coming in to the room made it difficult to sleep. Also, there's no blanket at all -- only a sheet.

The room is large, the sea view is invincible, the yard is also very beautiful, you can sleep in a hammock on the big terrace. Jose is very friendly and patient, and there are female clerks from Italy who like to chat and communicate. Less than ten minutes walk from the pier.
