The breakfast and ambience in the restaurant was awesome. Nice room although check in was taking a little longer due to the full house. Otherwise staff was attentive and kind. i
King's Cliff

Firstly, I was given a room in an extension block that seemed to have been built recently. It was modern but lacked the charm and character of a true heritage property. The main building, with its fireplace and historic ambience, was nowhere to be found. This was especially disappointing considering the premium price I paid, comparable to what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. The lack of attention to detail continued throughout my stay. When I checked in on a rainy day, I had to walk to the extension block without an umbrella despite the muddy road. The staff seemed unbothered by this inconvenience. Additionally, the room didn't have slippers, and the floor was cold, with no heating available (although they did provide a basic room heater when requested). To make matters worse, I had to call the front desk to confirm my room for the second day, which should have been done automatically as part of their standard procedure. This lack of efficiency only added to my frustration. The toiletries were also woefully inadequate, with only basic soap and shampoo provided. Power cuts were frequent, and I had to notify the front desk each time, which seemed like a hassle the hotel should have anticipated. The breakfast buffet was uninspiring and lacked flavour. To make matters worse, I had dinner at their restaurant, which was rated top in Ooty, but my experience was average at best. To add insult to injury, they got our order wrong, substituting Nasi Goreng (fried rice) with Mee Goreng (fried noodles). When I brought this to their attention, they made no effort to compensate for the mistake. In conclusion, Hotel King's Cliff fails to live up to its reputation as a heritage property or even a 2-star hotel. The overpricing and lack of attention to detail make it a poor choice for travellers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Ooty.

Ibis Chennai Sipcot

Thank you very much for the warm and hospitable staff of ibis sipcot, I had a great week in Chennai. The room is clean and the bed is very comfortable. The staff at the hotel are amazing! There is a big shopping mall near the hotel and there is a big supermarket in it. Walk for 10-15 minutes. The road in India is a bit difficult to walk. Actually there is a juice bar next to it, and you can buy evaluated drinks and water
Taj Coromandel

We have always enjoyed staying at Taj Coromandel. All the staff have made us feel at home with their exceptional service. The executive rooms and luxury rooms are extremely comfortable. Special thanks to: Shailesh Giri (Manager - Butler Operations) & Jasmin Siddiqui (Manager - Guest Relationsq) who went above and beyond with their exceptional service to take care of our every need. The entire butler team (Bala, Saravanan and Napolean who made sure they went the extra mile at the lounge. The entire Jiva Spa team who made sure we were well rested and relaxed. The entire restaurant and kitchen at Southern Spice team who enticed us with their superb food. The entire Front Office team who made our check-in and check-out seamless. The entire Doorman and Concierge team who helped us with our endless shopping bags. The entire Housekeeping team who did something small every day to put a smile on our faces when we returned back to the room. The entire In-Room Dining team who accommodated our late night food and coffee orders. We also had the pleasure of being served by Trainees Santak and Shafira, whom we would like to take the opportunity to wish them all the best in their future endeavours and to reach greater heights in this industry. A very big thank you from us, and we look forward to staying with Taj Coromandel again on our next visit to Chennai. Regards, Mr. & Mrs. Maadhavv Babu - Theviya
Ramana Towers
3.7/519 Reviews
I chose Ra***a Towers primarily because of the location and its website. The location was excellent for me, just a few minutes walk from the entrance of Sri Ra***a Ashram which was literally at the end of the street. (I discovered a nearby cafe/restaurant called 'The Dreaming Tree' which is one of the main places for meeting Westerners and which is also just a few minutes walk away plus Ganga Ma's place is also close by for Satsangs). The staff were always friendly, approachable and helpful (and arranged a taxi for me in advance from Chennai airport direct to Ra***a Towers). The attached restaurant served traditional local food which was fine although I preferred to buy my own cereals and fruit for breakfast which I prepared in the kitchen area of my room. My room was fine and everything worked, including the hot water. At night, monkeys would sleep against my bathroom window and on my balcony! Another feature of this hotel I liked was the rooftop terrace which had great views of *********a. The website was a little misleading about the meditation halls though, when I was there the meditation halls appeared to be being used as dormitories. And the library was out of use while I was there too due to building work. Overall though, I was happy with my stay here: the place was clean and secure, and seemed relatively high-end compared to ***y other places in Tiruvannamalai.
Trident Chennai

All in all very happy with the stay. But the biriyani I ordered(veg one) gave me discomfort. The curd accompanying it was stale to the point it tasted sour. Didn’t expect this low level of food from such a big establishment.
Kaldan Samudhra Palace

I highly recommend this place for families with children. The location is excellent and the ambience is extraordinary. The resort's theme is Rajasthani and is very well-maintained. The hospitality and food are good, although there are a lot of flies, which can be a bit bothersome. The resort has a swimming pool suitable for children of all ages, but please be cautious as the pool area can get slippery. The resort also offers daily programs which are posted near the reception area to keep everyone entertained. It's not just a place to stay for the night, but a great spot to spend quality time with your family and relax.
Pullman Chennai Anna Salai

no swimming pool even though advertized. no air conditioning in teh corridors. the carpet in the main lobby stinks. the rooms are nice and spaciaous and the service staff is excellent. the bathrooms are also nice and big and water is hot on demand. in my specific bath, the mixer was broken so water came out of the both teh show and the hand faucet together. towels are clean but only 99% dry. bathrobes are fresh and comfortable. so are teh beds and pillows. The inroom entertainment was very poor. (the raintree in st mary's road has better curated selection of entertainment). the views are of urban streets so nothing much to say. the colour schme is horrendous but that is only my personal opinion. The 24/7 coffee shop ”kitchen” had nice breakfast and dinner buffets with a wide range of food, all well cooked. all in all the newer Raintree hotel on st mary's road is much better, but the rooms and bathrooms there are much smaller. i hope once they finish renovating this hotel will get its act together.
