The thermal pool and spa were the perfect cap to a great day. Bartender was easy and friendly, letting us grab the last rays of sun with our drinks. Three course meal with wine pairing for dinner didn’t disappoint either. And a great nights sleep. Started the next day walking over to the Herring Era Museum.

Percorrendo una strada che attraversa bellissimi luoghi completamente disabitati arriviamo in un paese incantato, un piccolo paesino di pescatori molto curato e pulitissimo. Immediatamente siamo attratti da un grande edificio in stile , e’ il nostro hotel. In reception ci accolgono molto professionalmente. Le camere sono bellissime, (ne abbiamo 2 comunicanti perché viaggiamo con 2 bimbi di 8 anni) , con vista sul piccolo attracco dove c’e’ una piccola barca da pesca. Sono disponibili due vasche esterne per fa re un fantastico bagno caldo ammirando il panorama. Ceniamo in hotel, dove il ristorante ci offre una vista bellissima che da una sensazione di pace e relax. Il servizio e’ molto curato e il cibo e’ ottimo. Andiamo a dormire e ci addormentiamo in in silenzio a cui non eravamo più’ abituati. Un posto remoto con una incredibile sorpresa . Posto da non perdere !!!

The hotel and its location are both quite wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was great. The views of the harbor along with the mountains is exactly what Ring Road travelers like us would hope to experience. The included breakfast was excellent. The hot tub is a great perk. If the could add a simple fitness center, that would be my only suggestion.

I really wanted to see this town for its historic significance as well its photogenic setting. If I had to do it over again, I would pick both a different location (maybe do a drive through) and different hotel. It is nice, clean, and the beds were super comfortable. But its ambience was fairly sterile. And the hotel restaurant should be avoided. The cod was fishy - first time I had this experience in all of 10 days so far on Iceland. And when we rejected the meal, there was no acknowledge or apology for the poor food experience. Breakfast buffet is generally what could be found in almost any Embassy Suites in the US. Overall disappointing.

Wonderful accommodations and excellent customer service by staff. Hotel was busy, but rooms were quiet. Beautiful views of the harbor. Couldn't ask for a better introduction to Iceland. Highly recommend!

Siglo Hotel is a beautiful hotel right on the marina in Siglafjordur. Our room looked right out onto the water and the beds were SO comfortable! Breakfast was amazing and the staff could not have been friendlier. We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful town and I’ll stay here again if we come back to Iceland.
